 + -1 moreBrought in a huge clock for repair, took about two months, cost a about $150 and all they did, if anything was put in a cheap clock mechanism that you could get at hobby lobby. It never worked well, and a year later it is worthless. The only reason I do not give them a F is because it took me a long time to write a review.

 + 0 moreOverall, they are a specialty shop that mainly does mechanical clocks and they seem to do a good job with them.
Description of Work: They replaced the battery in my Tag Heuer watch. $20 while I waited. I also had them fix a Weems & Plath naval bells clock (wind up kind that rings 8 bells at noon, 4 pm, etc). I had a hand that had slipped, they repaired it and it has worked great since. Although for the clock repair it took around 2 months.

 + -1 moreMy great grandfather's watch ran, but needed regular maintenance. My grandfather's watch also needed maintenance, but did not run. The watchmaker provided an estimate of $290 for both together, including possibly replacing the mainspring in my grandfather's watch. It turned out that the spring was fine, but an earlier restoration/repair screwed up one of the gears. The balance wheel also had lots of problems. Repair took longer than originally estimated to correct the mistakes of previous watchmakers. It cost a little more than the estimate, too, but not too much more.
Description of Work: Two vintage Elgin pocket watches needed regular maintenance. One of them needed some repair, as well.
