The technician was prompt, and the repair was completed. But the price is much too high.

Prompt, good work, clear explanation and got the system working again.

I'd give them an "A" for overall experience. I didn't look around for another estimate on this job. But I have looked around in the past. They are probably more premium. I would use them again.

I got a call on the day of the appointment that the service person was running late but I was 'next' on his list. Waited another 2 hours, then got a call that they were very busy with the hot weather and 'older' people 'needed their a/c fixed' (I by the way am 70 years old) Was told that 'at best' all that could be done is someone 'might' be able to come over to "diagnose" the problem but any repairs would have to wait for an unspecified time in the future. I am left to wonder why this Company advertised in the Angie's list monthly booklet you send out but they cannot handle the business they already have. There was no effort to put me on any kind of future priority schedule, no offer was made to 'compensate' me for my time that I spent waiting all day for the SCHEDULED service call. This is NOT a company that I want to establish a longer term relationship with. Will try someone other company.

It was fine! They gave me a $100 off my next visit.

We had our furnace cleaned and they looked at a venting issue we thought we might have. Mat did a great job explaining what I was seeing and checking everything that needed to be checked. He was honest and didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. We did purchase a 2-year maintenance plan that will cover the furnace and air conditioner cleanings, which gave us a discount on todays service.

Dutchman did a great job. They were on time, provided a detailed quote with multiple option, explained them all very well. They beat the two other competitors especially when considering the name brand high quality products they install. Their installers were here, quiet as could be expected, extremely clean, were done on time, answered all of our questions. They were great, I can?t recommend them enough.

Everything went very well and we are very happy with this company from the Comfort Consultant , Mark, to the owner, Mike, and the technicians, Doug and Jim, who did the installation and set up. We would definitely recommend them and because of this experience, we will be loyal customers! We are very pleased with their service, professionalism, and knowledge of their products. Since getting our new HVACs installed, we have never felt so comfortable and we love the Accu Clean filters and UV lights and how fresh and clean our indoor air now feels and smells!

We contacted Dutchman on Sept. 1 that our AC unit was not working. Service tech arrived the next day and gave an estimate of the repairs. Based on age of the system, he recommended we speak with their salesman, Mark, to get a quote on a new unit. Due to warm weather and humidity, Mike B (owner) had the tech return to do a temporary fix of our existing unit until decided what to do. We met with Mark and quickly decide on installing new equipment. The installation crew arrived on Friday, Sept 4, and had all the new equipment up and running by the end of the day. The installation crew kept on informed on what they were doing and took care to keep the work area and surrounding area clean. We highly recommend Dutchman Heating.

Dutchman was very easy to work with. I had several companies come out to provide advice about adding supplemental air conditioning to a finished attic. I had my mind set on adding a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim or comparable system to supplement the Unico unit that is currently installed. The Dutchman representative indicated that while that would be possible, it would be very expensive. He counseled me to try using a window unit instead. Some of the other companies seemed more interested in making a sale than making sure my needs were met .

Originally contacted Dutchman for a service call on a Sunday, PM when air conditioning failed to cool house. They immediately found a leak in the refrigeration line within the existing compressor and gave me the option to 1). repair line or 2). replace condenser. Since the existing unit was +16 years old, I chose to replace the condenser. The service technician, Doug, took all the pertinent information of my existing system including detailed pictures for his office to create a formal proposal. I was called early the next morning regarding the proposed scope of work. Dutchman carries American Standard and proprietary Dutchman equipment for a bit of discount. I chose the American Standard unit. A formal proposal was sent via email that afternoon. I approved the work immediately and was placed on the schedule for Wednesday, PM, two days later to install the new equipment. The installers, Doug and Jimmy, were very professional and polite during the installation. The entire installation was ~4 hours with final start up and testing. Everything is running great.

I liked the salesman, Bob, who was knowledgeable, professional, friendly and not pushy. He explained everything. The system was installed two days after I placed my order. The installation went well. The installers showed up on time and were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They explained things and answered my questions. They cleaned up well when they finished installation. Everything works fine. They told me I could call 24/7 with questions or problems.

I would not hesitate to use them. They are a little pricier than some of the competition but the guy impressed me enough when he was bidding on the furnace which I did not do with them. I did not pick them up for the furnace because K&J was about the same price and I was impressed with both organizations, but by putting in this high efficiency heating and cooling stuff, there are a number of rebates involved, from the state, from the manufacturer and so forth. K&J would give us a credit for the rebates at the time we paid them so they filed for all the rebates whereas with the Dutchman, we had to do it ourselves. Prices were within pennies of each other with the rebates and everything so I had to go with what would make it easy for us. K&J uses trained equipment. The Dutchman uses American standard so they come out of the same factory, they just render differently.

We got the estimate and wanted to take some time to think about it. When we called back that afternoon, we were told that they had sold three more jobs and that it would be 5-6 days before they could get to us. When I added the hot water heater, they called a crew to work on Saturday (3 days). The crew was on time and spent all day in my basement. They scratched the unit trying to get it up my stoop (our front stoop is about 2 inches higher than it should be), so they offered the option of waiting for another unit or taking $100 off of this one. I opted for the $100 off. The guy who sold the job stopped by to check on the crew. It went well. I would use them again, but I hope not any time soon!

Very positive experience. The two service techs, Jason and Jimmy, arrived on time. They put on booties before walking downstairs to where the furnace is located. They were very pleasant and completed the entire job within a few hours. They explained how the new thermostat operated and cleaned up before they left. We would use Dutchman again!

Crew of two arrived as scheduled. Reviewed all duct locations. Brought vacuum unit into and through the house to each vent. Removed and vacuumed vents one-at-a-time, then replaced neatly. About as noisy as a Shop-Vac. Left areas clean. Most challenging was the main return air duct near the furnace. There was a considerable accumulation of dust in there; but I could see the metal of the ductwork when I looked inside after they finished it. Job took a bit under two hours. Happy to refer Dutchman.

Their excellent customer service stood out to me. I thought their pricing was fair for what they did. They did a very, very good job.

Everything went smooth. Salesman explained whole process which other companies did not. Installers arrived on time, were neat and respectful. Salesman also stopped by to make sure everything was done correctly. Used Dutchman for furnace cleaning in fall. Will use in future and recommend to all.

After 1 full year of being in our house after we purchased our newly constructed house in 2012, we needed a humidifier. After gathering our 5 quotes, mostly over the phone, Dutchman was the only business that actually made an appointment to come to our home. The salesman was very personable as was the installer. We wouldn't hesitate to contact Dutchman again for our next project.

While we have used others in the past for the annual check up, we decided to use Dutchman because of the excellent professional service we received when they replaced our air conditioning unit earlier in the year (a $4800 job). They are timely, they explain what they are going to do, they are courteous and respectful of your home, and they clearly explain pricing. They follow-up to make sure you are happy. I know there are cheaper options out there, but we appreciated their professionalism and were willing to pay a bit more for the high level of service. Even if you don't ultimately use them, it's worth seeing what they can do for you.

The quote was complete and the work was done on time. As promised, returned at no cost in the warmer weather to tune the ari conditioning unit. During the installation it was realized a condenstae pump was need and it was installed the next day.

I was very pleased with my experience with Dutchman Heating & Cooling. Bob, the sales consultant, did not try and rush a sale or apply high pressure. He looked at my current unit and townhouse and recommended different options depending on what were my needs. He also explained everything included in the price and what the procedure would be, which other companies did not do. The installers were prompt, courteous and clean. The price was in the middle of the range of the five estimates for the project I received, but overall I feel I received the best value. I will use Dutchman in the future and would recommend them to anyone.
