This is a great deal and company.. The service technician called in the morning on the schedued day to let me know when he would be out he arrived on time as promised, the service was thorough Dan the technician was very respectful and did an outstanding job, he serviced and cleaned the a/c system perfectly checked all the systems. I would highly recommend this company they are not your normal bait and switch type, the type that shows up with a special offer and by the tiome they are finished you have paied 5 times what you planned to because they "find" things wrong.

The whole experience was a positive one. Setting up the appointment was easy. He was on time and did what was asked. Really can't ask for much more.

Dan was the technician that came out to clean my furnace and A/C units. He was very professional and very patient as I asked questions about the furnace. He showed me everything he did and he was very thorough. If he is representative of the rest of the company I would recommend them.

All went very well, good coupon deal on the furnace server work performed. Technician was very professional and courteous.

They were great. The A/C guy was great. The heating guy was OK.

They seemed to do a good job. We’ve had a problem with our boiler and they had to call an employee who specializes in them. We are still having problems with our boiler, but the heating system itself is working fine.

The furnace is working again with the new parts.

They were excellent. They took a couple of hours to finish the work. We have used them in our previous house and we are using them now as well. They are reliable and polite. They are clean. I am totally satisfied with them. The fellow did one mistake and we had to call them back. I am sure they are competitive. They are punctual and if not they call to let me know that they will be delayed. I will definitely use them again in the future. I had a group coupon to cover the air conditioner and furnace for their yearly inspection. I don’t know about their normal price.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Omar was the person that they sent out. He went down and worked on the system and then came up and told me that he had "bad news". He stated that my carbon monoxide level was too high in the system. He then said that he tried to adjust the gas valve but was unable to do so because it wouldn't move. He told me that either the gas valve or heat exchange need to be replaced and it would cost over $1000 to fix so he recommended just buying a new furnace. I asked him which part was more likely to be the problem and he said he didn't know. I asked him how long it would take to get the parts and he didn't know. I asked him if it was safe to run the furnace and he said it wasn't. I then asked him why my carbon monoxide detectors hadn't gone off and then he said that the carbon monoxide was going up the chimney now. So he said it wasn't dangerous now and then I could run the system. So he switched his story. He never showed me anything for my furnace. He then was anxious to go since he said he was late for his next appointment. Basically, things weren't adding up. I had another highly rated company come out and they found nothing wrong with my system, explained what I would be seeing with the flame if there was a problem, and checked the carbon monoxide levels and they were normal. He showed me everything he was doing. So, I would not trust Air-Rite. Their service manager for Air-Rite did call and offered to come out and check out the system for free but I did not want this company to come back in my house at this point.

The serviceman came on time. Put shoe protectors on upon entrance and was very nice and polite. Got right to work and spent approximately 45 minute checking, vacuuming, and diagnosing my furnace. Everything checked out ok and he said it was running well (which was a surprise considering the age and that it had never been checked in over 10 years). He gave me some websites to check for coupons for future services and took my email for other information. That evening I received a really nice email directly from the serviceman with all sorts of information and websites. Good service is hard to find these days. They're a keeper!

I have had them out twice, first to do an annual check of my air-conditioner and latter the furnace. On the furnace work I also had him replace my humidifier filter for $54.00. I did not have to wait long for either appointment. They were punctual on both visits and called before to tell me when they would be here. They both put on disposible shoe covers. Called to schedule. Appointment set in few days. Technician called before arrive and very professional and knowledgeable. Cleaned and fixed the problem to have the furnace running. They made follow up call in a week to make sure everything was done properly. Very good experience and will have their service in the future.

I purchased a big deal from Air- Rite for $99 in August. It included a check of my ac and my furnace. There was also a $50 rebate from the sheet metal union. My service technician both times was Phil Babchak. I can't say enough how satisfied I am with this company. Phil was very thorough both times he came to provide the service checks. In fact, I would rate him as the most thorough technician that has ever serviced my ac and furnace. I received the $50 rebate promptly. I have used a number of different companies to provide checks of my HVAC system and although Air-Rite's non-Big Deal rate might be a bit more, the difference in quality is worth it. I will continue to use this company and highly recommend them (and Phil Babchak, the service technician)!

I bought the Angie's Big Deal for my furnace to be checked and cleaned in the middle of October. I called the office a day after the purchase to set up an appointment. The office manager was very polite and accommodating. Since my days are very busy, she gave me several days and times to choose from for the appointment. When I scheduled my appointment, I was informed that Omar would be my Technician on that day. The day of the appointment, Omar called me and advised that he was approximately 15 minutes away. He arrived at my door a few minutes before the scheduled time and greeted me with his identification in his hand. Before he entered my home, he placed covers over his shoes to protect my carpet and rugs. I escorted him to my utility room where he began to service my 19 year old furnace. He asked if I would like to watch what he was doing, and he would explain how the furnace worked and what the tune-up entailed. He spent approximately 50 minutes completely servicing, testing, and cleaning my furnace. After he completed the work, he explained to me what he did and informed me that the furnace was working well and safe. He advised me of possible options in the future for a more efficient system. Omar was extreme;y professional, knowledgable, and friendly. He demonstrated a real passion for his job and the company he worked for. I will definitely use Air-Rite Heating and Cooling in the future.

Excellent. The serviceman called as discussed one hour prior to his arrival. He was on-time, friendly, and professional. He explained exactly everything he did, and made recommendations for the type of furnace filter I need. I would absolutely contact Air-rite in the future. Very positive experience.

Very well, overall. I was given a time "between 8:00 AM and Noon". If he was not going to show up until 1:30 PM, I felt that the company could have dome a better job of letting me know more promptly. I did not get to know about his arrival time until he called to say he would be at my home in 45 minutes. I had a lot of household chores that could have been dome in the morning instead of waiting for him Other than that, I was extremely pleased with the technician's work and professionalism. He was very friendly and technically savvy. I will definitely use Air-Rite again.

I have owned 2-flats for over 35 years and have had the furnaces serviced for each unit every year. Mr. Lorenzo Sparacino, the service tech for Air-Rite, did the most through job I have ever seen. Other technicians cleaned areas they could easily get at, Mr. Sparasino dis-assembled the blower units so he could completely clean the units. Air-Rite, and Mr. Sparaino in particular, are now my "heating guys".

The guys arrived on time at 8 am and we discussed the project before they started. The new unit was fitted in no time and the job was finished by 1 o'clock. Overall I am very satisfied with the outcome. I would definitely use them again.

I bought a Big Deal for both furnace and air conditioner service to be done at different times. Today I had Air-Rite service my furnace and the whole house humidifier. I was impressed with the technician, who was polite, on-time, brought shoe covers and took them on and off as he came in and out, seemed very capable and knowledgeable and was pleasant about explaining to me how to work the humidifier (this is my first winter in this house), how to change the furnace filter, and whether I needed my ducts cleaned (he said "not yet"). The Big Deal price for the furnace and air conditioner services seemed very reasonable, and I was pleased that I was able to decide today to pay extra to get my humidifer serviced while the technician was here. The great Angie's List reviews made me comfortable about pre-paying for the air conditioner service without knowing if I'd be satisfied with the furnace service, and I am glad that I did. I would be very pleased to have the same tech out here in the spring, and anticipate continuing to use this company.

I called Air-Rite to schedule an appointment, but they asked if they could come in an hour. PERFECT! Ralph arrived on time and reviewed the work to be done. He estimated the time needed and quickly got to work. He asked if we had any dust issues and suggested a duct cleaning if needed. Ralph replaced the furnace batteries (no additional charge), cleaned both units, and checked all of the systems. He supplied a print out of the furnace readings and filled out the rebate form for me. Ralph also explained that the Big Deal purchase enrolled us as Silver Plan customer, entitling us to a 10% discount on service and repairs. As a final courtesy, Ralph provided his card and offered to discuss his findings with my spouse. This was an OUTSTANDING service! I highly recommend Air-Rite Heating & Cooling.

Very easy to work with, Air-Rite did good work at a good price. I'm glad a chose them and will use them again and recommend them to others.

Update: Rebate came in the mail. We received a nice call from a manager (nearly a month after our initial service), and they ended up coming back to insulate the AC line for free. Overall, the entire job was pretty affordable, and we're happy with the final outcome. I would like to give them a higher grade, but I think a C is warranted for the overall experience. Perhaps we will try them again now that all is resolved... We did the Big Deal and had two HVAC systems serviced and cleaned for a total of $198. Not bad. They also have promised a $100 rebate will come in the mail, and hopefully it does. For this price, the servicing is a bargain. Unfortunately, when they give you the big deal, they also nickel and dime you with replacement parts. When Lorenzo said we needed two new capacitors and a new ignitor, we gave him the go ahead to install them. After checking the prices of these simple items online, we were dumbfounded by Air-Rite's "flat rate" cost for them: even with the Angie's List discount, these parts, which would have cost us less than $50 to buy online, ended up costing us an absurd $230. That's ridiculous, since they only took Lorenzo a few minutes each to install. From reading other reviews, it looks like they like to take the opportunity to replace these parts whenever possible--I'm not saying we didn't need them, but they certainly are simple replacements that Air Rite is making a killing on. They certainly made their money back from the Big Deal that we purchased. Our biggest problem though, was the runaround we got from Air Rite over this: when Lorenzo ran out of replacement insulation material for our coolant line, he claimed that another trip would be needed to get more, and the extra trip would end up costing us between $150-$200 (for the call and extra labor). Mind you, he was already re-insulating the coolant lines as part of the general service we had paid for. Now he was claiming that to finish the job he started, Air Rite would charge us an arm and a leg. He also claimed that we could do it ourselves much cheaper (the insulation material cost about $20 or so). We called Air Rite, and they apologized and said that they would have Lorenzo or someone else come by at a later date to finish the coolant line insulation free of charge. Good! Then when we called again to confirm this information, they changed their mind and said they would charge ~$100 flat rate fee for the insulation material that they ran out of, but not charge us for the service call and labor. Note again that the insulation material can be bought at a store for about $20. This backtracking made us angry and we were told that a manager would call that day to discuss the situation. Of course, no one called. Bottom line: Air Rite may do a good job with their cleaning and servicing, but they seem to be more interested in nickel and diming you than getting repeat business. It wouldn't have taken much for us to be really happy with the experience and consider them our new go-to HVAC system specialists, but they instead gave us some horrible customer service over a simple matter and have lost our business for now...if they decide to come back and finish the job like they originally said they would, we may change our tune.
