I actually e-mailed about an appointment and got a return e-mail with a suggested date and time. None of this 'phone tag' back and forth and I really appreciated this way of communication. The time was great and Jamie Grant called when he was 20 mins out...a great plus to put away dogs, etc. and he arrived..exactly 20 minutes at my home. VERY nice man and a very hard worker...and being in the business for as long as he has, very knowledgable. Would answer any question and confirm what I knew about the furnace. He cleaned and tuned and even measured the flues...every thing was done to perfection ...and he left the area much cleaner than when he came in. BEST part..I had the furnace installed 7 years ago by another Angie's company and have had THEM clean/check it each year. Jamie Grant found and showed me where a part had been broken off and GLUED...and explained that it could at any time break again. He re-glued it and showed what (large part) would have to be replaced to actually fix it BUT not pressure from hi or his company, but information as to who to call if and when I would do that and get a price. (I'm dealing withe that company now as they are the ONLY ones that have been in the furnace all these years.) GREAT tab that lists everything done, everything talked about,date, time in, time out, ticket number...great to not have that 'yellow sheet' but actually in a 'modern age' form for my records. This is a GREAT company!!

I had previously purchased a "Big Deal" for Air-Rite to come out and do a tune-up on my HVAC system. They were very thorough the first time, so I decided to support them again. Each time I've been impressed with the professionalism of the technician, and they struck me as honest individuals.

I purchased a Big Deal for $49 to service my airconditioner My call was returned promptly and an appointment scheduled within a week. The serviceman arriived on time and was professional and polite. He checked the unit out thouroughly and cleaned and serviced it. I would definitely use this company again for my HVAC.

Had no idea that such a service could be so painless.

The service guy called to ask if he could come early because he finished his previous job, which was perfect as I didn't have to sit around wasting my morning waiting. He was very professional and did an excellent job. He didn't try to sell me other services that I didn't need and was very knowledgeable when it came to all of my questions about life of the unit. Without a doubt I will use them again.

The experience was great from start to finish. First, It was very easy to schedule the appointment and I had no problem obtaining a Saturday morning appointment. On the date of the appointment, an Air-rite representative called to let me know that the service provider was on his way. He arrived on time and went straight to work. After about an hour, both AC units were cleaned and inspected. The service provider answered all of our questions and was very professional.

I was very happy with the service and work completed. I was antisapating an upsell job to a new ac or other issues. I was surprised he showed me what he did and taught me how to change my filter. I believe my tec was henry and he did call ahead to say he was in route.

They have done work for me in the passed. They are pretty good. I just bought a deal with them, and I am waiting to redeem it. They did right by us because at the time we were renting the house and it didn’t come with the central air, and they didn’t charge us for that experience. They ended up just ordering the parts and fixed the job and said it would be fine because it was still under warranty with the rental people. We kind of got caught in the cross hairs.

I hadn't had my A/C checked in 2 years, and the unit seemed to be wheezing a little. It's been an exceptionally hot summer so I used it far more than I usually do. There was an Angie's Deal for $49 for an A/C check with up to a pound of freon added if needed. I signed up. I scheduled the appointment and was told that the repairman would arrive between 12 and 5. I was a little annoyed about the wide window, but I live close to my office and the appointment person said that the repairman could call half an hour before he would arrive. That was fine with me. I actually got the call at 11:15 am and was a little surprised. I left work, took a cab home and arrived at 11:35 to find that he was already there. He said that he himself was a little surprised, but there hadn't been any traffic. He had already been looking at the unit, which was sitting right next to my house. He asked if a nearby spigot was working, since he needed to hose off the unit. I told him I had to go in the basement to turn it on. He said he'd like to take a look at the furnace and take out the filter for part of his testing. He put booties over his shoes as soon as he walked in and kept them on even in my dusty basement. He was there about 45 minutes and cleaned the unit, replaced the filter with one he provided, turned on the A/C and tested if it needed freon. He said it did not need freon, but had been fairly dirty, chiefly on the side closest to the house. He said that, ideally, you want the unit to be a few feet from anything that could obstruct airflow, but in the city there isn't enough room and that the side closest to the house was just not going to get the best airflow. When I told him I hadn't had the unit cleaned in the last 2 years, he said it actually wasn't too bad for 2 years of use. I asked him if I should hose it off occasionally and he said it would help. I also asked if the wheezing was a problem. He said that the machine sounded fine, but perhaps the wheezing was because of impaired airflow, which cleaning had fixed. He then reminded me that he had turned on the A/C and asked if I wanted him to turn it off. That was helpful since it was a cool day and I hadn't noticed that the A/C was running. He was going to toss the old filter and I had some other garbage I was going to take out, he said he'd take it for me since he was going to the cans anyway. I thought the repairman (whose name I forgot to ask) was professional, helpful and efficient.

Was on time and very informative and friendly. We noticed the AC's dual capacitor was leaking and I decided to go ahead and have that replaced as a preventative measure. I would recommend to everyone since I was able to ask questions and get honest answers.

The service went very well. It was a great deal and price. They showed up, did the work and we were pleased with the outcome.

They came out on separate days to properly inspect both furnaces and ACs, since they wouldn't be able to properly test the ACs on a cold day (as it was). We scheduled the AC check for several months later, and they came and cleaned and inspected those machines, with no hassles at all. They were very polite and did a great job.

The service was done in a very professional way with quality. The A/C facilities were cleaned up and tuned up nicely. The worker has provided a good demonstration and explanation to the customer regarding how those facilities could/should be maintained in an appropriate manner, while working on those items both indoors (in basement) and outdoors. His attitude was very gentle and patient even when the weather was very windy and chilly while working outside the house. It was a nice experience to get service from such a company which did a great job and, more importantly, is willing to share the knowledge and experiences with the customer.

The service was done in a professional manner in a reasonable time. The tech showed me the filter and recommended that it be replaced. A good marketing tool that Air Rite uses is regular contact with the customer about changing the furnace filter.

The service professional was prompt, thorough, quick, and did not try to upsell me unnecessary work. He gave ad vice for better home maintenance as well.

Our service person was very thorough in explaining the reason for the needed repair and our options before performing the work. We've had two great service calls with this company and would definitely recommend them to others!

Overall had a very good experience with Fred Hansford from Air-Rite. He was very professional, answered all my questions and explained what and why he was doing as he worked. He showed up on time, provided 30 minutes advance notice call before the appointment time, both are very important. Very good experience with the service technician and the Air-Rite Heating and Cooling company. I highly recommend them.

Very prompt and even called when they became available early. Evaluation of AC system was thorough and was not pushy to do everything as we had pre-paid for the $50 service call. Instead, gave us fair pricing for suggested services in the future and approximate life expectancy left in unit. Very pleased

It was okay. They were courteous and respectful. He tried to sell me some parts that I didn’t think were needed.

Nicholas was great: very professional, polite, and communicative. He worked in the attic and basement on the furnaces, then outside on the two AC units. Nicholas replaced some piping to prevent backup at no extra charge. There were little things that were impressive in Nicholas' service. He told me he was going to fix the pipes before he did so, just to inform me. When he was done he told me he returned the thermostats to what they were set at when he arrived, turned off the lights and closed the doors. Nice touch! When I made the appointment, the arrival window was between noon and 5:00, which I thought was pretty big. However, I did call the morning of the appointment and was told that according to the schedule, he should arrive between 12-2. He arrived by 1:30, calling about 10 minutes ahead. I appreciated the great service.

This is the second time I have used Air-rite. I received a call 30 minutes before the technician arrived as requested. The technician was polite and informative. The proceedure was explained as he went. Any current or future issues were discussed and recomendations were made. The technician took his time to do a complete cleaning and inspection. I have three homes in two cities that I manage for the owners. Air-rite covers both locations. I will definately use them again.

Excellent service from beginning to end. The compnay and the technician responded to calls promptly, kept their word, and the service was honest and timely. No tricks, gimmics, games, etc. Mike L., the service technician, was awesome. Called me immediately upon researching the problem, fixed only what was needed, and kept me infored throughout the process. I've finally found a dependable and honest heating and cooling contractor for my rental property.

They came out and did a AC recharge and inspection of our AC system. This was done professionally and well. The only issue I had was trying to make the appointment took 3 calls and I have a busy schedule. This could have been made easier by this company.
