They delivered quality work. My pool was in bad shape and they had it cleaned up and looking good in no time. They charged a reasonable price too.

I started out with Adam Pools last year and what seemed.to be a very nice gentleman turned into a wild angry bear. Unfortunately when I first bought my home I was very happy about the ingrown pool. Less than a week went by and i found out I needed a.new liner. It was going to be very costly. I called ADAM POOLS. We had to drain pool pull the old liner and install a new one. Rich took all the measurements to ensure the right liner and size were to be installed .This was at a cost between 6 and 8 thousand dollars. After the liner was installed the shallow end didn't seem to fit correctly .Rich said he will make necessary adjustmenrs..adjustments... he never did. He also took apart the filter and never came back to fix it. Last time I wrote about him in a review he claimed me as a crazy Karen lady. Believe me I spent thousands and the liner is warranteed and he won't fix it...this is taken and copied from his text to me. . You are a business owners worst nightmare . You are an entitled KAREN spreading lies when you can longer get one more thing FREE. Write as many reviews as you feel you need to and we can discuss your mental health issues in a public forum . Remember this when you are thinking to do business with this man. He will dismiss you when you try to work with him especially when you have a warrantee. Please look at photos below and see how the bottom of liner looks when you go to open pool after he installs liner. Awful man. Look at the.liner.by the stairs doesnt look right never looked right didnt fit to the stairs too big because he measured incorrectly. Doesnt want to fix his own mistakes. Looked at other reviews about him.. if you are a woman don't do a deal with him. Very dismissive when it comes to women. Treats women like crap. This is a businessman who will never agree he's wrong unless he's slapped.in the face with it. Please notify me if you have the same problem with him. Perhaps we can both do a lawsuit against him together A liner shouldn't ripple within the first year of it being put in this is purely his fault becuz he measured incorrectly. I have also included a copy of the receipt where he charged me $ 540 for a pool winterization when my pool was empty after putting in the liner.. no water in filter because the pool was empty. All he had to do was plug up pool and add chemicals from an empty pool. Charged me an extra $540 . Watch out for this man please see receipt
Description of Work: New liner did work on filter never completed liner is now rippled won't fix

If you enjoy being taken advantage of, spoken down to, and for your pool equipment to be serviced by men not qualified to do so, then these are your guys! Over the summer, Adams pools charged me large amounts for troubleshooting a disposable part of my pool filtration system. I contacted Adams pools because my salt generator wasn't working. Rich spent 4 months trying to get my salt generator to work only to tell me that he contacted the Pentair representative and learned the part had expired. At no point did Rich acknowledge he didn’t know anything about Pentair products (even though it's one of the largest pool equipment manufacturers), nor did he research them. At the very least, he should have been upfront and said he didn't know what he was doing and that there would be an expensive learning curve. Rich refuses to consider even a partial refund for the unnecessary troubleshooting and instead states he's not an expert on different pool systems. This is ironic, since that's what I hired him for. During our last phone call, he hung up the phone on me after shouting at me and being disrespectful. Please read the better business reviews of Adams Pool's, and then hire an expert instead

I called Adam Pools & Spas on 5/29/13. I spoke with Rich. I explained we were having problems with some of our pool equipment and I wanted to have someone come out to take a look and service the problem. He asked that I send a text to him and he will get back to me in order to make the appt. I expected a call later that day or even the next day but I did not hear from Rich until 5 days later when he finally graced me with a phone call to make an appt. Seriously? 5 days later? Did he actually think I was going to wait indefinitely for him to call me back? We had equipment problems that needed to be resolved as soon as possible. I called another company and they were able to come out to my home before Rich ever bothered to call me back! This is a very poor way to do business and treat potential customers. I'll never call them again. Don't waste your time, call another company!
Description of Work: They didn't get a chance to do anything!

Adam Pools and Spas charges $110 for a service call and then for each hour of work which is pretty typical of other pool/spa services. The first visit, Rich checked the easy to see places in the control panel for leaks and found nothing so he said it was necessary to break into the shell of the tub to find the leak. He and an assistant spent 3 hours breaking into the front panel of the tub and removing the insulation, hoping to find the source of the leak. He thought it may be a small hose which cost $15 to replace. After 3 hours of work the bill that day was $452. The leak continued so I called Rich again. He missed an appointment and then we rescheduled. On this visit he continued to dig through the interior of the tub, removing insulation. After 3 hours and $330 he and his assistant found nothing. He said the next step was to get 4 guys to come out with him and lift the tub off the deck to check underneath. Because winter was coming, weather made this difficult so he told me to watch the forecast and call to set up an appointment for a relatively warm day. I did this on 3 occasions - none of which suited Rich. On my third try he told me I have to give him more than a few days notice. My question was, "how can I do that when you have asked me to base the appointment on the forecast?" We then set a date that was about 2 weeks out when he would come no matter what. The appointment time came and went - no Rich. I called him to find out if he was still coming to which he rudely replied "no." I asked if he had any intention of letting me know he was not going to keep the appointment, which led to a string of rude comments from Rich and my giving up on his completing a job he clearly had no intention of finishing in the first place. This spring I resumed the problem of the slow leak with Turbo Tubs in Naperville. They recommended a bottle of liquid called "Fix a Leak" to cycle through the tub. It cost about $45 and the problem is resolved... In my opinion, either Rich has no idea how to service hot tubs or has little conscience about being an honest businessman. I paid him close to $800 to break into the side of the tub and fix nothing when a bottle of liquid could have at least been tried first. He never mentioned any such product. Turbo Tubs has also agreed to help repair the shell of the tub with a panel that can be ordered in its entirety. Rich told me he would have to rebuild the exterior of the tub by hand - of course at an additional cost. Perhaps Rich is good with pools, I don't know. But he certainly does NOT know about spas and was NOT an honest and responsible person to do business with. Call TURBO TUBS.
Description of Work: Hot tub has a slow leak. This company was called to help find and fix it.
