Description of Work: Bought a Big Deal for $99.00 today 09/08/2014 and it turned out to be an inspection designed to sell a whole roof, instead of the roof maintenance it was billed as. I need a small repair on my roof, a bathroom vanity installed, new drywall where the roof was leaking, and some hardware (feeder trays) installed in my barn. This was my first attempt at using Angie's List, and I am very disappointed. I want a full refund of my money, and would also like to find someone on Angie's list who can do all of these things, for 4 hours on a Big Deal. Customer service was very nice. But, you are doing your customers a huge disservice offering misleading "services" which amount to estimates that the customer pays for rather than free estimates that are standard operating procedure. A & D Exteriors doesn't do small roof repairs, they were trying to sell me a whole new rood. Please refund my money ASAP.

Description of Work: We had a small water leak running down a pipe from the roof into our basement. We thought that there must be a problem with the seal around the vent on the roof. Called A & D exteriors to come out and look at it. Kevin was very prompt and checked the roof and in our attic to see if there was any damage that we didn't see. After verifying that there was no problem in other areas, Kevin sealed around the vent on the roof. Very thorough and professional. Liked him so much, we reccommended him and his company to our neighbor who will use him to replace his entire roof.

Description of Work: This was a preventive maintenance kind of job. Kevin did a great job. He did a thorough inspection of the roof and the attic. Caulked all the small holes and gave nice tips for the maintenance. Overll highly satisfied and will defnitely reccomend them to all my friends.

Response for initial estimate was quick, accomodating, and came with a packet of information, references, licenses - once we decided to go with A&D, a quick e-mail got us into the schedule queue, and things seemed fine. |There was a lull with no updates for over a month - given the roof was to finally mitigate years in a row of having shingles go missing, this left me slightly concerned. This lull was my only disappointment. |Once I reached out to A&D again, we were on the schedule almost as soon as we could find a mutually acceptable day. |The morning of left me a little unsure - it was too quiet. A crew showed up exactly on time and went right to work - covering and protecting the house and surrounding shrubbery, and beginning to strip the roof. It was well choreographed - the dumpster showed up shortly after they got going, and the truck with the new shingles, etc. showed up as they were wrapping this up. |I can't recommend anyone try working from home when a roof is being installed - the pounding is surprisingly loud. Except for a break for lunch, they worked through the day, and left as quickly as they had arrived - a quick tour of the yard and it was almost completely cleaned up. |I received an e-mail noting someone would be back for a final clean-up pass and dumpster removal in the morning. |The new roof looks great, is notably quieter inside during rain, and should be good for a nice long while.

Description of Work: I got a new Roof! A&D did it all in 1 day, just like they said. Heidi,one of A&D's Project coordinators came out, inspected the roof and gave me a quote, answered my questions but did not waste my time with a long drawn out sales presentation (like some other Companys). |I see why this company is rated so high by the BBB, Angie"s list, and others. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's maintenance, inspection package only for a second opinion. My area suffered hail damage and many of my neighbors are having their roof replaced. I filed an insurance claim to be on the safe side. The adjuster determined that my roof and siding suffered minimal damage. I wanted a second opinion and A & D came to the same conclusion. Kevin from A & D did a very thorough inspection and I'm satisfied with his assessment and honesty.

Description of Work: It was a Big Deal for $99 for a Roof Tune-Up and Inspection. Big Deal was performed promptly, and at that time I received an estimate for a new roof. I signed a contract for a new roof on April 24 and was told work would be completed in two to four weeks, depending on weather. Nothing has been done yet--8 weeks later! I was also told that they would try to put a tarp over the section of roof that was leaking into my house while I was waiting for the new roof. This has also not been done.

Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal from A&D for $99. This was a good deal, as my roof ended up needing some minor repair work and patching. Heidi from A&D was very responsive in scheduling and was prompt and courteous when she arrived. She conducted the inspection, did the repair work and advised me that the roof was in good overall shape and would probably not a full tear off for another 6-10 years. This was similar to what another roofing contractor had advised. I would have liked A&D to provide photos of the work done so that I could see the repairs to the 2-story roof myself. Overall, though, the service was excellent and a good value. I would definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: They came out, got up on a ladder and inspected my house roof. He came down, told me what his assessment was and gave me a quote for the services he thought was going to be needed. Told me he was going to email me a detailed quote.

Description of Work: Scheduled an appointment for a free roof inspection for hail damage. On the day of appointment, person supposed to do the inspection said that he/she is not insured to inspect steep incline roofs and supervisor will contact to schedule an appointment. Expected that would happen a few days later. But a few hours later I was got nice surprise when I got a call that service manager Dustin will stop by to inspect the roof. He showed up on time and after inspection he said roof does not require replacement. | |What's great about A&D is service manager showed up on the same day to honor the earlier appointment commitment and did a free, no obligation inspection for me. A & D is highly recommended for their professionalism and customer oriented service.
