Very professional.  Showed up right on time and performed inspection flawlessly.  Was very honest and did not try to sell me additional services that I did not need.  Would definitely hire them again.

He did a wonderful job, gave us a complete description of the problem and its solution. We were particularly impressed that he recommended a firm close by rather than trying to sell us his own services, since he is located, in his opinion, too far away from us to be able to respond to problems fast enough. He said, "I'm a roofer before I'm a salesman." However, he did, at our request, give us a quote for comparison purposes.
Subsequently we took two bids from local roofers, and accepted one of them. The original quote, with its breakdown of the cost of every particular, was invaluable in making a decision, since both of the roofers we received bids from are very highly rated on Angie's List. Once the work is completed, we'll be posting a review in that regard.
In short, we could not have been more satisfied with the service and professionalism of A&D Exteriors.

A&D Exteriors came out for a free inspection, and instead fixed a roof leak at no cost to us.  A&D found that the leak was due to an uplifted/out of place nail that caused an issue with the flashing.  They removed the nail, replaced some flashing, and caulked it.  A&D called as they left the property and left me a detailed message explaining how minor an issue it was, and that it was not worth charging for.  Even when I asked how much to pay, they told me they were just happy to do something nice for a stranger.
That same day, I had another company provide an estimate, and they explained the same issue that A&D did.  They stated that the A&D fix was a temporary one and may last 1 year or 5, just depending on what types of weather we face going forward.  They proposed fixing it, and addressing some other issues for roughly $750.
All in all, we are beyond pleased with A&D.  Even if the other company turns out to be correct and it is only a temporary fix, the good will shown by A&D is enough to earn my trust and business for all my roofing needs going forward.

He arrived a half hour early. He inspected my roof, pounded in a few nails and on the garage he straighten a piece on the gutter.
He was very honest about not replacing anything, in fact he talked himself out of work I would definitely use this provider in  the future.

We bought the Angie's list coupon for inspection and minor repair. The rest of our newly purchased house needed repairs, so we assumed at least a few shingles would need to be hammered down. Only a little caulking was done, so $99 was probably overkill. However, Gene was very personable and knowledgeable. We received a written inspection report and an estimate of when the roof would likely need replacement, as well as some advice about venting the attic bedroom. Would definitely use this company in the future.

Fantastic, showed up on time, did the work, no extras, super professional.  They are my "go to" roofer for now on!

Dustin was wonderful. We did a deal for 99.00. He was quick to respond and schedule. Dustin came out, assessed the problem, and came up with a solution. He wasn't sure of what the problem was, but had an educated guess. And he was 100% correct. The leak is completely gone, and Dustin was wonderful. We would definitely hire him again.

Initially, I contacted A&D Exteriors to inspect a leak in the roof. They were very responsive as compared to other service providers and sent Gene for inspection within a week. Gene was very professional and provided a detailed report of what was causing the leak and what should be done to get it fixed. He provided some additional advice on why so many shingles were failing off the mansard. He then provided the estimate and also showed up when the insurance folks show up for assessment.
Although the actual date for fixing the roof was pushed out a couple of times due to weather, the actual work was done very professionally, was finished with 2 days and clean up was also done thoroughly. Gene himself came up after the workers left to look for nails and cleaned up a few. Their price was also reasonable.
Overall I am very satisfied with their work.

Our roof/house is about 12 years old and we wanted to have someone look at it to see if there were any issues and to estimate the life left on it.
A&D exteriors was offering a big deal (I think it was $99) for an inspection and touch-up. We got off to a tricky start since they had to reschedule (our roof was apparently higher than most and the person scheduled didn't have a truck/ladder high enough. So we rescheduled for during the week.
When the A&D representative arrived, he inspected the roof, and walked me and my husband through his findings (including where he touched up some things). He pointed out a few areas to watch, let us know when he thought a replacement would make sense, and also pointed out something he saw on our chimney (not something related to his service, but since he was up there, he wanted to share what he saw).
Overall, we felt really good about A&D and would use them again!

Heidi was the epitome of professionalism and extremely personable. She is very comfortable as a female construction consultant and salesperson. Her knowledge of roofing and plumbing systems was apparent from her conversation and reports. She was on property about an hour, and we discussed the roof will need to be replaced (we knew that). I will definitely have A&D quote on a new roof when it is time.
I feel the value provided was much greater than the small charge for the inspection and minimal repairs.

I was very pleased with the prompt and courteous service!  A&D helped me immensely by tracking down a pesky roof lead with no apparent entry point.  They determined it was due to a problem with the J-channel on the siding.  The leak was fixed and hasn't been a problem since!

Their technican stopped by and said that cedar shingles were not covered by this purchase. He also said that the pitch of the roof would be an issue.

It went well, they cam out and caulked and repaired some spots on my roof and chimney flashing that needed some work.  They also went into the attic to take a look at the decking and gave me a quote on what a new roof would cost.   They also provided a quote an new siding, they spent a long time explaining the process and how long it would take to do this project.  We haven't decided yet on whether or not we will move ahead with the project this year but A & D will be on the short list of the companies we consider using.

Very courteous, called ahead when he was in the Naperville area, arrived at the scheduled time. Completed the roof inspection...including the chimney and flashing.  Noticed missing shingles and recommended replacement. He returned the next day with matching replacement shingles and installed them.  Very efficient.

Gene is amazing!  I first called him when I needed some work done on the house I was buying.  He dropped everything to talk with me and give me some advice.  He knows a ton about exteriors and shares his thinking before even seeing the property, which helped me know the size of the problem as we were going through the home buying negotiation process. Once we awarded him the work, it was done impeccably and looks beautiful.
Gene also helped us address some issues in the garage of the house we were selling.  Even though we hired him to do the work, he spent time with the property buyers to explain what he did and why.  He also made sure the warranty was in his name.  This gave them the comfort they needed to move forward with the purchase. 
We truly couldn't have gotten through this process without Gene.  And his pricing was far better than some other quotes I got.  So...all around an excellent experience--don't hesitate to hire him!

 The crew was here two complete days for the roof and another crew was here one day for the gutters.  They were very professional and hardworking.  Dustin is very knowledgeable and available.  He is willing to spend whatever time is needed to make sure the right roof for the home is selected and all questions are answered.  The job was very well done and the roof is beautiful.  We just love it.  And none of our neighbors have one like it.

Great!   My concern was the roof on my garage which is older than the house and has visible signs of frying.  I thought it would be informative to get the house roof checked too since I'd never done it since the initial inspection on the house 6-7 years ago. I didn't realize siding was also involved. 
I didn't get anything "tuned", but I'm not sure I needed anything to be tuned.  The man gave me lots of good info on roofs.  Unfortunately my siding had been redone 4 years ago and he complimented the work and the value to the roof and potential leaking. There was an opportunity to create alarm about the wood siding on the garage (old) and the garage roof, but he didn't .  He told me it was in pretty good shape and the roof could wait for the rest of the house in approx 4 years. 
Very satisfied and learned a lot!

He was on time, discussed what he was going to do, asked questions about the current roof, and even took pictures.  He told me there were no glaring issues, but the roof was old and would likely need to be replaced within 2 years.  I will use this company when I'm ready to get the work done.

Heidi was very thorough in her inspection. She pin-pointed the cause of some leaking at the edges of our roof due to installation errors made 20 years ago--the shingles did not extend far enough over the roof edge. She also made a good recommendation for attic ventilation--the addition of chutes to keep insulation from blocking air flow from the soffit vents. She recommended that the roof be replaced and wrote up a proposal and price quote. She did not mention that there should be much more insulation in the attic and she did not mention the option of simply repairing the couple of places that were leaking. I did decide to replace the roof, getting 3 more bids, and choosing a different company. A & D actually was the low bidder and they probably would have done a good job, but another company gave me a much more detailed analysis of what they could do for me and I felt more confident with them. I also have had second thoughts about having a "roof inspection and tune-up" done (or at least paying to have it done). Two of the other 3 companies I called gave me as good or better inspection for free.

It was very good. They came as scheduled and we were satisfied with the results. They were professional. They were here at the time that they said they would be here. They gave a pretty thorough report and explained what they saw. I was there on top of my roof when they inspected it and they had the recommendations.

I was so impressed!  She was punctual, efficient, friendly, and informative.  She checked the roof and caulked in places.  Told me the status quo and suggestions-in detail--and wrote a report of our roof and attic space.  We know for a while now that we need a new roof because it's about 24 years old--but she never once pressured or tried to sell one.  In the spring when we get new roofing done---it will be this company.  Very professional!
