Dustin came out to take a look at the project very quickly. Kept me informed on timing and got the job done. In short order, the project was done and my roof sealed for the next monsoon! Very satisfied.

When I bought my house in 2010, there was snow on the roof during the house inspection and so the inspector could not examine the condition of the roof. In the Fall of 2012, I contacted A & D Exteriors to come over and inspect the roof, patch anything that needed patching, and give me an opinion of its condition. Heidi inspected my roof, did quite a bit of caulking and advised me that I should consider replacing the roof in the next 2 years. She measured the roof and provided me with a quote for the replacement. When I decided to go ahead and get the roof replaced this Spring (2013), I solicited bids from A & D, as well as 2 other roofing companies that were highly rated on Angie's List. I called A & D, told them that I had received a price quotation from them on a new roof 6 months earlier, and wondered if they would honor that price or if the price would be higher now. I was assured that if I made a decision in the next couple of weeks, they would honor the price that I had been given. A & D turned out to be the lowest price quoted and, as they were highly rated on Angie's List, I felt that I could feel confident that they would do a good job. I called A & D and told them that I would like them to do the job. Heidi returned to have me sign the agreement and work began the next week. Work began on a Monday morning and was completed the following day. The dumpster in my driveway was removed that night. The workers were courteous and took care to keep things as clean as they could. Dustin came out to the house on the second day to see how things were going and was very professional. A few days later, Heidi returned for a final clean-up, checking the yard for dropped nails and bits of shingle. They left one package of shingles with me and Heidi helped me to carry it into my garage. I am very pleased with the look of my new roof and its installation. I feel that A & D did a wonderful job and I will certainly consider using their services in the future. My roofing job was a good experience from beginning to end. Thank You, A & D Exteriors!

Dustin Bassi the owner called that he was running late, maybe just 15 minutes, but called to let us know. He advised that the raised shingles were not due to damage, but were correctly constructed.He determined that the vent cap (not sure about the terminology) above the bathroom was not the proper one, causing condensation and the leak. He charged $250 for replacing it with the correct cap and caulking around all vents and the chimney. He suggested removing a cable antenna (from previous owners) which was dangling from the roof. He impressed us as very professional and knowledgeable. We would call him if we ever need roof repair.

I worked with Heidi. She was very proffessional and very easy to ask questions. Angie's List offered a coupon for A&D. I called A&D before buying the coupon. A&D were very nice to come out to accesse the work before I purchased their coupon. Heidi came and went onto the roof and took measurements. Well coupon did not cover the total cost and then she gave me a quote of the difference. Not once did I fell pressured into buying. I checked with reviews from customers on Angie's List and ALSO with BBB. A&D had very good ratings. That helped me on my decision. They came in one day and completed the entire roof, clean up and all. They didn't take their final payment until a day later giving me a chance to exam their work. That's what I liked NO PRESSURE. They also very courteous to my neighbors on covering up and cleaning any debris from my roof. Job Well Done.

Dustin was great, very professional and went the extra mile to make sure the job was done as we wished within our budget, which we really appreciated. We will definitely use Dustin Bassi with A&D Exteriors again and be happy to refer his services.

Dustin said our roof should be replaced. He told me that it was 10-15 years old, that there were 2 spots that looked like there might be leaks under them, and that the bottom layer of our shingles was disintegrating, which was not good. Two other companies came out to check out the house, and they told us the roof looked totally fine. One even took close up photos and showed me on the computer. They also explained the shingles I have (Corning fiberglass) could last up to 30 years. Well, the estimate Dustin gave me for the siding was 2-3x higher than my other 3 estimates ($6900 vs. $2600-$3400), and the roof estimate was $8600. That's $15,520, and our house is a tiny ranch (1200 sq. ft.). Not sure what to think about it. Maybe he just didn't want our business?? I'm reluctant to give this bad review because Dustin was a nice guy, but this is exactly the kind of information that I believe makes Angie's List so helpful.

Heidi and Dustin from A&D Exteriors were both very professional and on time for my appointments. They inspected the roof and attic and provided good information as this was a newly purchased home and I knew nothing about the state of the roof. They were never pushy and offered their insight on the condition and age of the roof. They were also able to work with my schedule which I appreciated. I did ask for a quote on a concern that I had about the roof and they quickly got back to me. The quote was fair given the nature of the work so hopefully I can work with A&D Exteriors again in the near future. I would recommend them.

I had a leak and I thought they would be able to come over and point me in the right direction. He caulked a little bit and just basically told me I should redo the whole roof.

Job was performed to my satisfaction and was much more than I expected for the price.

The owner of the company came out for the job. I was very impressed that I called on Sunday and by Tuesday I received a call back and he was in my house for the appointment. He went up to my roof and had no trouble getting onto the top of the roof (many other service providers have had difficulty). He sealed my leaking skylights and gave me a lot of detail about what was casuing the leak. I overlooked in the ad that I was out of his service area and that he doesn't service flat roofs, but he still came out and helped me. I was very impressed that he still did the job. I got good advice and I feel comfortable with the outcome. The experience was an education and he gave me a real sense of security.

Dustin was very responsive and prompt. He provided valuable information regarding the condition of my aged roof and spot fixed troubled areas. Dustin did not try to push further services or convince me that the roof needed to be replaced immediately. He did provided suggestions and answers to questions regarding roof replacement time frame.

The initial experience was satisfactory and left room for optimism, the lack of follow up or contact afterwards was disappointing.

Fantastic. Dumpster droped off on the eve. of 3/27/13 so they could start working on tearing off the shingles at 7:00 A.M on 3/28/13,and they were here at that time and worked until sundown that day but due to the longer roofing nails used on the second layer they were a little behind because it was labor intense cleaning the roof correctly,they were back out the next at 7:00 A.M and finished the roof and did a great job of cleaning up the property around our home.Dustin is the C.E.O. which I had direct contact with at all times by cell phone which helped when they thought the roof was completed but I had a white chimney not the brick color that we had agreed upon-one phone call and he was out here with the right color and it was put up and the white one removed.He came back out today 4/01/2013 to give one last checkup for any nails etc. that they might have missed. We talked and we are in discussion on siding our home and he has great ideas and great workers dn very good prices

I lost several shingles last winter due to some high wind storms and knew they needed to be replaced. After purchasing the $99 roof maintenance deal they wrote me up an estimate for replacing the shingles. I also wanted to get an attic fan installed. The company was very easy to work with. After my initial call, they came out for maintenance within a couple of days. Within a week they wrote up the estimate and came back out to complete the work. I would definitely use them again and will most likely use them to replace my roof in the future when that is needed.

Dustin was incredibly professional, honest, and knowledgeable as he diagnosed a problem that was very unique and offered a sound solution. He went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied and was very patient with me, despite me asking a thousand questions and being a very anal retentive individual. The work was done quickly and to my satisfaction. Dustin really went above and beyond in a number of ways, and was very generous with his time. I highly recommend this company!

I purchased an inspection/maintenance "Big Deal" after I noticed a leak in one of my bedroom ceilings. Local weather made scheduling difficult, but Dustin was very courteous working with me. When the day finally came that Mother Nature was cooperative, Dustin arrived at our home 15 minutes EARLY! I showed him where the problem spot was, but he started a thorough inspection outside on the roof and later went into the attic to look deeper. The problem was fairly obvious for him. The vent ducting from one of the upstairs bathrooms was done improperly, causing a large amount of water to pool inside the duct itself and slowly leak out above the guest bedroom. Dustin took care of it the very same day instead of having to reschedule for another visit. I'm happy with the results and I'll likely ask them for any future work.

Everything went very well. They waited for a dry day, and they came out on time, and did a thorough job in repairing some siding that had warped, and caulked some windows where some of the sealant had begun to deteriorate. They were very thorough and walked me through everything they did later.

I called A and D Exteriors for some siding that was coming loose. The siding was in a inaccessible place since it was over the garbage and not reachable by a straight ladder. A and D came out and gave me a estimate and did a excellent job of repairing the issue.

A & D Exteriors followed up to my email and set up an appointment. They were prompt and efficient.

Dustin is a true professional! We had a leaking roof and were terrified to have this happen right before Christmas. We paid $99 for a roof inspection and maintenance. Dustin fixed the minor problems quickly and came back in to give us an estimate. He was honest and straightforward; I did not feel like I was dealing with someone who only cared about a sale. He provided a reasonable estimate and explained the different options. He was very understanding and professional. We will definitely call A&D Exteriors again!

Went very smoothly - they were thorough and unobtrusive. Took care of all the access problems themselves (going into the attic can be problematic here) and did not leave any trace of mess or disturbance. The inspectors were very professional. Unfortunately, they found black mold in the attic, which can be a pretty serious problem. It turns out that the roof re-covering we had done about 10 years ago was done incorrectly and the bad venting has allowed moisture to build up inside. So, correcting it involves replacing the entire roof. They asked if anyone had been having chronic health problems possibly related to the mold, but we have been lucky in that regard. My suspicion is that the mold problem that keeps showing up behind the bathtub wall tiles is related to the mold growing in the attic and side wall directly above the bathroom (another repair to be addressed at a later date!). We had a different company do a roof inspection about 6 months ago (to look for the source of a window leak), but they either did not go into the attic or did not notice the black mold. During this current inspection, A&D Exteriors said the window leak is probably due to leaky siding and/or the window flashing being installed incorrectly. We have tried caulking it repeatedly, but during certain storms with high winds, there still is a spot that leaks. A&D Exteriors also said our siding needs replacing, but that is not quite as pressing a need. It would be good to re-do it to fully address the mold problem, but MAYBE insurance would cover it, since we have some hail damage. Most likely, the siding is also letting moisture in, which feeds the mold. The siding is very old (probably as old as the house, about 33 years). So, the upshot is that we need a new roof and new siding, preferably done at the same time to take care of all problems and get rid of the mold and leaks. They encouraged us to get other estimates - they did not give a hard sell whatsoever. As an alternative, they said we could hire a mold remediation company to treat the attic, but it would likely not be a permanent solution, since the venting is faulty. Treating mold that way is also costly, so we would want to really get at the source of the problem and not just do a band-aid treatment. A&D acknowledged that replacing the roof (and siding) is more costly, so they advised us to think it over. A&D left a written explanation of what they found and what they recommend, along with a folder of brochures and procedure explanations. In response to my questions, the rep who talked with me assured me their employees are highly skilled and do speak English, so I would be able to communicate with them. They mailed a complete estimate about 14 days later, with all the individual components of the repair explained. Included were booklets with color samples and references from past customers (which were all glowing reports). Since we have a small (1200 sq. ft) townhouse, our roof replacement would be about $4K; up to $6200 if we include replacing the gutters, downspouts, aluminum gutter protection and lifetime shingles. Our townhouse development has conjoined homes with a 1-car garage between each one, so the roofs are just 2-sided (front and back slope). I do not know if the quote included the small garage roof also. They did not include a siding estimate, since they advised I contact our home insurance co. to see if that would be covered. I have not yet called other companies for estimates, but I will. It seems that the cost of this repair would be worth it to have it done correctly, instead of paying a lot more down the road to correct mistakes. In A&D's paperwork, they included copies of their "complaint-free award" from the BBB and a certificate of liability insurance (important to have). A&D seems upfront and honest; I believe they are a family-owned business, which I like.
