Starting with the initial inquiry for a price, things went very well. With in a day or less of writing a message on Angie's List I did get a response from Dustin advising a siding specialist would be contacting me. With in a day from that Heidi contacted us, scheduled a visit, came over and gave us an awesome price on new siding even with us adding a bit of an upgrade on type of siding and color. We ended up going with A & D because they had very good ratings but also they had a very fair price for our job. The crew was excellent as well; They were very clean, respectful and quick; our job took 2 days only and the house looks great! Heidi kept in close contact with us including making site visits to ensure things were going well. She was also very responsive when we would bug her with more questions and requests along the way. I would highly recommend this company for any exterior jobs.

Kevin arrived on time and did an excellent job of evaluating my roof. He provided a detailed report that explained all he had observed and areas of concern that needed to be considered for the future. We talked about several other projects that I needed help with at my home. Kevin was considerate, respectful and professional throughout the appointment.

Gene was the salesman and project manager for my job. I got three estimates for the roof, siding and a new porch roof on my home. They were in the middle of the estimates but had good references. They were uniformly courteous and punctual although they have a variety of crew working on different parts of the project. I was impressed when, after the carpentry had to cut into my roof to attach the new porch canopy/roof, Dustin came out at 7 pm and used working lights to put a membrane up to make sure the house was watertight. After they had finished and I made the final payment I discovered that the siding crew had left a small band of wood exposed at the bottom of one of the pillars and was afraid the wood would rot when covered with snow this winter. Dustin came out and redid the vinyl there in a professional manner. They do stand behind their work.

Kevin provided me with a report of what he inspected and advised me that our shingles were good for a few more years. Kevin explained everything to me as he was checking the roof and attics. I will have my roof inspected annually so that I do not have the problem I had last year and this year so I can be proactive about the roof and not reactive if I have a future leak. I know this was only an inspection,, but when Kevin saw the wrong caulk he was pretty sure that was where the leaks were coming from and sealed the holes with roofing caulk. He also found several small holes and caulked them. These small holes were not causing any problems, but Kevin placed roofing caulk in these holes to prevent any future damage.

They were professional and seemed like they would do a nice job. Unfortunately their bid was higher than another company that I felt would do a good job as well.

Took advantage of the $6500.00 sale for 2k sq feet of new roof. Mine was a little larger than 2k so I paid a little more but that was explicit in his sale conditions and terms. Dealt almost exclusively with Dustin, (the 'D' in A & D). He was straight forward, punctual, and always keep me informed when I'd get my new roof. There was a small delay because he had to wait for my shingles from the manufacturer, but these things are normal for any business. Crew showed up 10 minutes early and finished in one day. Dustin also had some people come out the next day to do final cleanup and get any stray nails that were in my grass. Highly recommend.

Roof inspection. Great guys. If/When I need a new roof I will definitely have these guys quote a price. If you're into cars and racing, make sure you let them know. :)

He changed the date without letting me know. He was on the roof for 15 minutes. I had some flashing that needed to be nailed down he said he didn't have the proper safety equipment do do it. For $99.00 for 15 min. and nothing done what a scam. He also gave me a quote to reside the south side of the house which was as much as others quoted to do the entire house.

They kept saying they would come out, but never did. When they finally came out, I wasn’t home. We had discussed my gutters to be a certain way and they weren’t the way when I returned. They also left metal pieces and nails in my flowerbed. I have dogs so I had to use a flashlight to remove the debris. They weren’t very professional over the phone. I would not use them again.

They did a really good job. I think it was relatively pretty fast that they came. It was within the next few days I think. From what I remember, they responded very promptly as soon as I signed up for the deal. I think I got right away from them and we were able to schedule something right after.

They were great. They did the inspection. There was a place around the chimney that needed to be patched and they did that. The pricing was fine.

The company helped improve air flow and decrease the icicles. The soffits were replaced. They were able to do this quickly and did a great job.

He came out and he did good. My house has a strange roof pitch so the only issue for me was they could only do so much because of the pitch of my roof. They did great. The price was good. I didn’t have any problems after they did my roof.

It was good. They took care of it as part of the package. They were timely, professional and they took pictures so they can show me since I couldn't go up there myself, what it looked like before and after they were done.

He gave us a proposal for some roof repair. It went fine.

My job was assigned to a person called Crystal . She is very thorough . She inspected my roof and calked loose shingles she took time to go into my attic and inspect upon my request job well done

The gentlemen came and addressed the issue. We did not watch them perform the work. The leak has been addressed, the area was left clean. We are satisfied with the result.

I was pleased with the service and requested a quote on replacing the roof next Spring. Obviously I was quite impressed with the original work or I would not have asked about future services.

Great experience. Gene was a pleasure to work with and very patient as I kept hitting delays due to some construction we were doing. They used a satellite service to estimate the area of the roof, and were as a result able to estimate more precisely than other companies, resulting in much lower cost (one company that barely measured quoted me on almost 2x the sq footage that Gene measured via satellite). Along the way, they were super responsive, delivering samples to my house and dealing with the hassle of River Forest permitting. We hit a few snags when they were doing the roof -- one area was 4 layers instead of 2 and another area had an overhang which was structurally poor. They handled both snags perfectly, spending extra time doing the job right, and charged only a tiny amount extra (definitely less than it would have cost to bring someone else out). I was very happy with the work they put in and the value I got from their service. Overall these guys are great, and I highly recommend them. I will be using them again in the near future to replace my gutters.

Everything went very well. I am very happy with the results. When the fan was installed, they actually found that the builder had never put the correct connections in! I was glad to get an updated fan put in.....they added the electrical needed for no additional cost.. I was very pleased with that!! The unit has been great. The only iffy point was that I had a question about the fan and how long it was running, and I called but did not get a response. ( I did figure it out myself after a couple of days, but I would have liked that call returned.) That is the only reason for any "B" grades.

The inspector arrived on time and took enough time to review the roof. The inspector carefully inspected all roof surfaces. This included flashing around the chimney and vents. There were a couple spots were roof nails had previously popped up. These were hammered down and sealed. A complete detailed reported was given to me.

A&D came over today at 9:00 AM. They were to check my roof. However due to the pitch of the roof they said it isn't covered on the Angie's list deal. So They "Kevin" I believe his name was. Said to contact Angie's list and get a refund. So please give me my refund. Thank you.

They got the job done in one day. My only problem with them was they left footprints on part of the roof. They sent 3 guys out to do the job and they were all fine.

We were havong some interior painting done but wanted to make sure there were no leaks or water damage. The inspection was done in a timely manner. The inspector gave us a full report that was professional and reasonable in pricing. Had we needed repair the $99 would have gone towards the cost.

Krystal the service tech who performed the inspection was very thorough and knowledgable. When she completed her inspection, Krystal went through the roof evaluation form ( 15 elements) with me and showed me photos she had taken of various areas of the roof so I was able to see what she was describing which was very helpful. Krystal caulked in a few spots to avoid any future problems. She gave me an honest appraisal of the condition and remaining lifespan of the roof. Krystal is an excellent representative of her company and based on this experience, I will certainly call A and D Exteriors when the time comes to replace the roof.
