The contractor was helpful, friendly and went out of his way to take care of us.

Went very well. The roof was done in about half a day. Workers were very friendly and polite. Gutters were done the next day. Chris was great in explaining what would/should be done. Better price than 2 others. Roof and gutters look great.

IF YOU ARE IN A TOWN HOME COMMUNITY, THIS IS THE COMPANY TO HIRE. This is the one contractor in which ALL of my homeowners have only good things to say, which is a premium. Dustin was wonderful from start to finish: from the initial consultation, to the proposal, to the follow up. His installation crew was prompt, professional and did outstanding work. They even have a separate team that comes after the installation to ensure the job is left clean and tidy. We will continue to hire A & D for years to come and I would recommend them to anyone! They are just simply wonderful!

This place was great! I was in touch with Kevin immediately following my purchase and he was really good about following up with some schedule changes due to the weather. Once Kevin arrived he was nothing but professional, pleasant, and explained exactly what he saw regarding the roof. I plan on using them for any exterior work my home will need in the future!

At first, great! Zak came out and did an estimate in May 2016. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We thought, wow this will be easy to get our home fixed from storm damage. And then... it went downhill from there. We got the roof quote, but still needed the siding quote. We waited and waited with no communication on their part. I called and/or emailed in May, June and July to find out why they were not getting back to us. I got an email here and there with excuses. I finally called the owner at the end of July and left a voice message asking why we have not heard from anyone. No reply. We decided to visit their office at the address on their business card, no office just a PO box at a UPS store in Bartlett. So disappointed that a company that is supposedly rated so high on Angies List would be so terrible in communicating with a potential customer. We finally gave up that we would ever hear from them, so I went back on Angies list and found GMark in Hanover Park. HE WAS TERRIFIC. Wish we went with him to start. (See our review on GMark)

Excellent! First finding a company that would replace flat roofs was difficult enough, most would charge corporate prices because it was a difficult job, A & D not only took on the job but kept the price very reasonable. Since it was such a large job a few issues arose. They took every step possible to make sure that we were completely happy with the process and especially the end result. We would also like to make sure to point out that Dustin and Heidi went above and beyond with their customer service! Over the last few years we have, between 3 generations, dealt with several roofing companies, and A&D is a model of how a company should be run from customer service to finished product.

great. Chris was ontime, and provided a lot of detail and photos of areas of my roof that may need attn. at some future date, nothing urgent. also fixed flashing and protective thing over skylight.

Very good. They were prompt and respectful and trustworthy. We appreciate their professionalism. They were so nice and helped us get some answers on what we thought was a roof leak. They could have told us anything but ended up not costing us extra money. We will definitely use them going forward.

In early April we got a detailed written estimate at a competitive rate. Chris was easy to work with and always easy to reach. Three weeks later we met with Heide who came over with samples of shingles and helped us select the style and appropriate color, and she did very well. Scheduling the work has many variables, especially weather, so using Chris' best estimates I anticipated work to begin late June or early July. Work began July 8. The work crews were superb. They worked from about 7:30am until sundown and completed the roofing, chimney, and skylight. The following week they completed the gutters and the siding where the gable vents had to be covered. This was a multi-national group of experienced craftsman who really knew their stuff. They were very pleasant to talk to and offered plenty of homeowner tips and advice. Very impressive! Work area was well tarped and cleanup was very good. One of them returned a couple of days later to scoop up any nails that may have been missed the first time. A big project is never perfect. There were several communication misfires starting when Heide did not show up as scheduled. I called and we rescheduled for the next day. And when I was told the dump trailer would be picked up from our driveway "Saturday morning" I did not anticipate the doorbell ringing at 4:45am to move the cars out of the way. Replacing the skylight was an adventure. There was no way to be able to see the product (Velux) in advance so we had to make our selection based solely on photographs and illustrations, and being a "special order" product there was no turning back. A and D did honor the originally misquoted price saving us $300. But later, after the skylight was installed, we discovered the transluscent "light filtering" blind, which we thought was the same as our old one, was virtually transparent and did nothing to block the hot sun. A new blind assembly (solar powered) had to be re-ordered at an additional cost of $400! However, Chris was agreeable to a compromise of $200 and the blind was replaced about a week later with the double pleated "room darkening" version. At last, the project was finished. So yes, communication could be better but by far the most important component is the workmanship which appears to be excellent. Well done, A and D!

Let me just say that this is an awesome company to deal with. Heidi is a rock star!! We had 5 companies out to give us bids and Heidi was the ONLY ONE that spent the time to give us an estimate that day. Two other companies still haven't submitted an estimate to us. Every issue, no matter how small was dealt with immediately. For example, the supply company sent the wrong color trim pieces for the siding. The correct color was delivered within 2 hours of me letting someone know. Ken, the window installer was absolutely amazing. Ken and his crew did a fabulous job installing the windows, including the interior and exterior trim. Not an hour after Ken left, Heidi was here making sure that not only I was pleased with the work, but, more importantly, that my wife was happy. The siding guys, I didn't get their names, were equally as wonderful. The older guy did an amazing job wrapping the front entry in aluminum...what an artist. The gutter installation went seamlessly also(sorry for the pun). Throughout the week and a half of work, Heidi kept making sure we were happy with the outcome. The biggest test came when, during a moderate rain, I inspected the gutters. I noticed a few spots where water was streaming from between the gutters and the new fascia. Dustin, the owner, came out within 3 hours of me informing Heidi to inspect the issue. It is a minor issue that will be resolved within a week. Now that is excellent customer service!!! Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn't mention the kid that came to clean up all the debris virtually everyday, just to make sure my 2 little boys don't step on a nail. The siding guys swept my driveway everyday and the window guy even vacuumed!!! I can't say enough about my experience with this company. Dustin combines quality with a customer service. And, most importantly, spending $18,562 is stressful. Heidi took all the stress off of us during the whole process. We went from looking like the hillbillies on the block to having the best looking house in the neighborhood. I will try to upload photos from my phone later. You would be stupid not to hire this company!!!

Chris was delayed but called prior to the appointment time and rescheduled for later the same day. He went on the roof and did the maintenance and took pictures. Our roof is 17 years old -he did recommend a full tear off and replacement within the next 12 months. He did minor repairs to the areas that needed the immediate attention. He checked the attic which did not have any water leakage. Chris was not pushy and stated that he would let us know if there was going to be any possibility of specials with the company. A & D exteriors is highly rated on Angies list. We will probably be looking to do the work within the next 12 months.

From the initial consultation through roofing selections , tear off, new roof install , cleanup and follow up visits, their entire team was extremely professional , knowledgeable, prompt and easy to work with. The most important factor that separates them from other roofing companies is their commitment to providing the best service and making sure we were completely satisfied. I highly recommend them.

The whole process was excellent. The estimate process was a fair price which included gutters and new skylight. A&D was only company that we contacted that was responsive ( the same day) and were interested in doing a thorough job of earning our business. Contacted other companies that came out and never followed up with any information. A & D was very professional and keep us in the loop with their schedule and timing of our new roof. The roofing crew was fantastic and worked their butts off for 12 hours+. I would recommend them to anyone. Our house looks awesome! Thanks to the entire team at A&D !!!!

They were fantastic! They took pictures of the roof and answered all our questions. They found issues that we weren't aware of and even gave us recommendations on how to move forward and fix the issue! I would recommend them to anyone!

A and D Exteriors is a reliable company that provided me with a reasonable estimate and was hired to perform a cedar shake tear-off and reroof on my home. The five member crew came fully prepared early on the scheduled day and immediately began their work; they worked until dusk and cleaned up the yard thoroughly before they left for the evening. They gave excellent protection for our driveway by lining it with plywood so that the dumpster did not damage it and did the same for the flowers and plants that lined the sides of our home. I was particularly impressed by the care that they took to clean up after they finished for the day. On the second day the same crew returned to take up where they had left off the day before and working again until dusk. They did return on the third morning to replace a skylight that was requested by the homeowner but not listed in the contract for the job. They even sent a worker to the site a day after they finished to clean again and hunt for any nails and pieces of wood that were missed. This company was a pleasure to do business with, they were competent, friendly, flexible and hardworking; I highly recommend them to anyone requiring their services.

A+ Company. We are extremely pleased with the experience. We felt A&D Exteriors did a great job from the time we first met our sales person (Chris) to the time the work was completed. Chris was very informative about each of the products and services offered and provided Pros & Cons of each. Periodic phone calls were received to ensure we were aware of our place in the queue of pending jobs along with firm date when they will arrive to complete the job. Once the work was completed, the crew did a fine job of cleaning up and removing any debris that had fallen during the course of work. The following day, two additional crew members had performed an additional inspection of the property. One of the folks used an large magnetic tool in the grass areas to ensure all loose nails were picked up. Overall, we were very pleased with the job they had preformed. I would highly recommend this company for anyone who needs a new roof.

Dustin and team were great to work with. He provided an easy to understand, itemized quote with several shingle options. Heidi helped us pick a shingle color that matched our house well. The day of the project, the team arrived when we were told they would, carefully covered the flower beds around our house, and quickly got to work. The finished roof looks great and I have found very little evidence after their clean up that they were ever there.

He found several loose nails and stopped a few minor leaks on our side porch. He was very professional, easy to understand as he walked me through what he saw and a few days later provided an estimate for a new roofing project per my request. I would definitely consider them for the new roof project simply based on how professional and easy he was to interact with.

We scheduled service on our newly purchased home. We gave them a list of things to be completed from our home inspection. He came as per the time scheduled. Completed all the tasks on our list and the job was done. Pain free and easy

Very well. Chris was very prompt in scheduling the appointment, arriving on time and was very professional and efficient with his work. He performed an inspection and maintenance on the roof and then provided a good recap of the condition of our roof. Overall, I was happy with the work.

It went well. Very professional. The inspector found out what I was looking for and wanted to know if I had any concerns. She performed the work as described and provided a report after. She went over everything in detail and answered all my questions.
