Scheduling an appointment can be tedious but is well worth the wait after work has been performed. Ivan was our installer and he was/is great! He was on time everyday and work hard the whole entire time. He is detail oriented; explained what he was doing and why. I am so glad that I choose this company. My floors are beautiful. I do not believe that you can recieve this quality of work from prefurbished wood. Please note that you will have to stay off the floors for some hours and wait before you move your furniture back but it is well worth the wait. Our floors look like a work of art. Wizard of Wood Floors are also certified with Bona. I am a very happy customer.

The provider came to our home and was very pleasant, but we decided to wait until the Fall to go forward with this service. We will be using this company for this project again.

All went very well, the floors were sanded and then 2 coats of Swedish finish. We also had 3 wood vents installed and finished the same. We had hardly any dust so that was wonderful. I will say that the smell from the finish was toxic so even though it was cold outside we did have a window cracked. Service was great and had no problems contacting them and they were on time everyday. Would definitely recommend and use again. Thanks

They did an excellent job. They are artists. They took their time, very polite. I was very satisfied.

I was not totally satisfied with the quality of the work. They refinished the wood and you can see some of the gauges. The young kids that came to do the work were quite late and said their car broke down. They told us that we needed 200 volts to do the sanders and I just had a new electrical panel installed into my breaker and then brought another machine in and put into another breaker and I was not happy.

Everything was good. I got a special deal but I don't know about the regular rates. If you're going to have a floor refinished by them to be sure to talk to them about repairing light crevice before they refinish it.

They were very professional and they did a good job. Their work was high quality. They were friendly and I would use them again. It was difficult to get a hold of the sales man to give us a quote, but they did phenomenal job.

I can't say enough good things about Wizard Of Wood. The on-site team led by Duane was extremely professional and so great to work with as was Mike the owner who prepared the quote. The floors are beautiful and this team takes pride in perfection. When I asked for a third coat of finish they didn't even hesitate and came immediately to do that for me. I would definitely recommend this company and ask for Duane and his team to do the work!

It did not go well. The work performed left dings and small chunks of wood removed from our baseboards. We were told to expect this before the work started, but we were surprised at how extensive the damage was. The owner did

Two guys came to do the work. They left the area clean. I liked the fact that they did a good job and I'm very pleased with their work.

The whole process was painless from the very beginning. Mike is very clear and transparent. He was able to give me a price per SF over email exchanges on Angie's List. He even came out to visit me at work with samples so we could finalize the wood. His team was fantastic and got all the work done in two weeks. They even worked a few weekends to meet the deadlines. They were very motivated and did an excellent job. Now everyone who comes to our home comments on the quality of the flooring. Very professional and I would highly recommend them. Great team and my wife and family are very happy.

They were excellent but I have no recollection of the cost of their service. I would not say that I had any dislikes about their service. They were very neat in their workmanship and it was all done as I expected so everything was good. The work that they did held up really good. I would recommend them to anybody. Their price was not inexpensive. They were a little pricey but the work that they did was well worth the money. I would use them again in the future for sure.

We found Mike on Angie's List. Mike came out soon after we contacted him by email. He measured and explained the various kinds of coatings available. A follow up email arrived a day or two later with prices and a lot of detail about the coatings. We got the "upgrade" and paid for the "dust containment system" which was explained in the contract. The questions we had were promptly answered by email or by contacting the office by phone. Mike and the office manager worked with us to schedule the work at a time best for us. The workers showed up promptly on time for the three days it took for the job and cleaned thoroughly when done. They moved some big furniture that we had agreed to pay slightly extra for. Plastic was draped across doorways to keep the dust off the furniture, but I did cover most things with sheets, also. There was some dust but it was kept to a minimum. There was some smell but not overwhelming. I did board our two large dogs for a few days to keep them out of the way, but I was able to remain home while the work was being done.

Crew of (2) came out on a Monday promptly at 7:45 am. Ray explained the process for the week. We paid a bit extra for the 'near dust free' equipment and I am glad we did. There was still some dust as we were told and anticipated. The crew covered up hallway openings with plastic and were very neat. It was (2) full days of sanding, followed by a day of staining, and two mornings of finish. We are very happy with the results and highly recommend Michael Galloway and the Wizard of Wood Floors! Read online reviews of the Wizard of Wood Floors and was impressed. From the moment we spoke with Mike Galloway, the owner, we know we were hiring the right contractor. He was prompt with our appointments and honest with the best method of refinishing our floor. Fred and his co-worker, who did the actual work, were clean and organized. We used the Bona Dust Containment System and their hanging of the plastic to contain the small amount of dust that did result was excellent. Fred always kept us informed of his daily progress and notified us if they were running late each day. The floor was completed in the designated time. We are very pleased with our floor and will recommend the Wizard to our friends.

Estimator was a great guy then Johnathon called to schedule the work. He told me the installers couldnt start first thing on the agreed start date but would call when they were on their way. They never did. The installer scheduled directly with me for the remainder of the job which was fine. The scope of work included cutting in 2 new wood heat registers which in my opinion we not cut correctly and then putty was added to fill the gaps. The repair in the floor which was about 3'x8' had to be toothed or feathered into existing. The installer had gaps at the but ends which were filled with putty as well. I paid for a profesional service and received average craftsmanship. I dont think putty should be used in the quantitys that it was on my job. I was also charged a premium for their dust collection when the preliminary work (removal of damaged wood in the 3'x8' area) had my house filled with dust. Why pay an upcharge for 99% dust collection on a sander when every other dust making tool they use has no dust collection at all? Lastly the installer told me he would remove all garbage bags (6 in total) when done and never did. I dont want to bad mouth these guys but I feel the quality of work isnt where it should be. The owner needs to follow up on and review the work his crews do to keep an eye on quality. Responce to company responce: The vent opening cuts were pretty bad. I dont know what you used to cut them but between the two vents i dont think either one was tight fitting on any side- total filler gallore. Looks great from a distance not so great when you are standing in front of it.

Mike came on time and explained the types of finishes he would recommend. He was very knowledgeable. I received an estimate within a couple of days. I had further questions and he was very responsive. The estimate was very competitive, but we decided to go with an installer we had used before.

I enjoyed working with these guys. They were prompt and thorough. When they saw that my original stain color had faded & yellowed over the years, they mixed a custom color of stain to match as closely (since we weren't refinishing the stairs) as possible. The work was done quickly and beautifully. We had DIY'ed the refinishing on the first floor, and had the 2nd floor done professionally approximately 4 years ago. However, our tenant severely gouged the floor upstairs and the 1st floor looked like it had been DIY'd... :). WoWF made the nearly 100 yr old floors look like new! Beautiful, smooth, even staining, etc.

Had wood floor resurfaced in one room. They were professional, very friendly, and most importantly clean! They worked with me to provide several color options that I liked and could actually choose from them while they were on the floor. I plan on using them again soon to do the rest of the house.

We spent a good deal of time getting estimates for our project from 6 providers. While we expected the estimates to vary in price , what really astounded us was the difference in estimates on the square footage of the project. Mike Galloway - The Wizard of Wood Flooring made sure his estimate of the square footage was consistent with the size of the rooms. As he advertises, his estimate was not the cheapest , but it was not the most expensive either. We selected the Wizard of Wood based on our meeting w Mike Galloway and Angie's List reviews. We are very happy with the choice we made and the outcome. We didn't really understand, when it started, the intricacies of the flooring project, but as we moved along in our understanding we came to appreciate how great the team from the Wizard of Wood was in performing their service. Our Team was comprised of Pete, the crew chief, Louis, and Bill. Their skill in dealing with our project was absolutely superior. They are craftsmen of their trade. Their approach with us was informative every step in the process; extremely courteous and they always kept our desire to have it accomplished within a week as a goal, spending long hours to assure that we were both completely satisfied with the outcome and the timeframe. Home renovation is a trying experience but they made it the experience as good as a reno project can be when you are displaced for days. I will absolutely recommend them.

Mike, Pete and their crew did and enormous job. They were courteous, attentive, responsive and clean - almost impossible with wood floors. Most importantly, the floors look great. I would recommend them over and over again.

10/01/2012 They did an excellent job of refinishing my kitchen floor. My only complaint would be that the price was higher than I estimated as it was an Angie's List special and my kitchen is very small.

The job went perfectly. They came exactly when they said they would and completed the job in the time estimated. We opted for the low-odor, high-traffic stain and so glad we did. Could hardly smell the stain at all in the evening after the coats were applied. They even came back 2 days after completing the job (after I scratched the floor) and rebuffed and re-stained the section. Wayne and his crew were fantastic and we will definitely call them again if we decide to refinish other rooms in our house.
