Hinwood did an outstanding job! Dilyan and his team were very professional, trustworthy (very important to trust folks you let into your house) and above all their work and craftsmanship is far superior to anyone else you could hire. Each of the guys that Dilyan had in working with him on our job really were the best at their individual crafts. The custom built cabinets came out much better than we could have imagined and he ended up giving us 25-50% more storage space without expanding the kitchen. He had no issues with us adding specialty hardware in mid-project, so we could have inserts, extra sliding drawers, and swing out shelves to optimize the hard to reach corners. If you care about quality and attention to detail, then you want these guys for your job! We will definitely use them for our next project and would highly recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

The team was timely and clean. They were also great problem solvers, which kept us on track! Really great to work with!

Dilyan and Lucy were fantastic to work with and did a great job with building and installing a custom cabinet to fit our electronics and act as a display cabinet. Dilyan based the design on a drawing we had provided, provided recommendations and options and was extremely knowledgeable throughout the process. Hinwood did a great job in the build and the install and the final project came out great. Will definitely use again for future projects.

The work was done within the budget and the proposed time frame. Very professional and with great attention to detail. They did an excellent job laying the tiles and creating the pattern. They also did a couple of extra small jobs that were not part of the original scope. The company owner followed up a few days after completion to make sure that everything is to our satisfaction.

The project took a while to get off the ground because our permit was denied - we hadn't realized that our house had had an earlier variance to code approved in order to be closer to the street than the code would normally allow. In order to get a second variance to accommodate the new structure, we had to provide many drawings and details for the city's approval. Hinwood was very patient and helpful during this process - connecting us with an architect, gathering the additional info, etc. When we got the permit, the work went smoothly and the finished product looks just like the picture. Any minor glitches (wrong paint color used on the indoor trim) were fixed as soon as we pointed it out. We are happy with the new entry and would use them again if we had other projects. We did get bids from two other contractors but had issues with responsiveness, so we were glad they stuck with us through all the permit delays and still got the work completed before the weather became too cold.

I had 4 professionals come to quote our project ( 3 from Angie's List) all were impressive.... but the first meeting with Dilyan I knew he would be a a great pro to work with and I was right! The first meeting and all the way through he was engaging, collaborative, creative, professional and thorough. I met Dilyan and his partner/ wife Lucy at their location where Dilyan does his masterful woodwork.... also met Lucy at a stone suppliers to research options.... Lucy was always available to provide supply sources but they were also happy to work with my choices and supply sources. The pros that came to do electrical, plumbing, tiling, painting were all very professional, neat, respectful of time etc. They sealed off our master bedroom with a zipper door way to keep dust at bay. The project went over the estimated completion date but we were so thrilled with the work and happy with the experience it was inconsequential. Dilyan crafted me a custom double sink vanity with 9 drawers in bamboo.... it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The doors and drawers and closing mechanism are high quality. We could not be happier with the experience or the end result. The project changed our life! We went from one pedestal sink, no drawers, a huge unused jacuzzi and tumbled marble floor and shower to a herringbone marble floor, glass shower , soaking tub I use at least weekly, and our marriage enhancing double sink with lots of drawers!!! I highly recommend this wonderful company and great people!!!

Hinwood did a great job on our bathroom remodel. The service they provided was top notch, especially with regards to professionalism and attention to detail. We are definitely going to use them again in the future.

They have guys with different skill sets, so they always have their best guy working on the tasks that they are doing that given day. It probably took a day or two longer, but the really high quality definitely makes up for that. They did marble tile, ceramic tile, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and finishing details/trim.

Extremely satisfied - our new bathroom is gorgeous, spa like and is going to be a joy for years to come!

I had hired Dylan to do work in the past and I was so impressed, I hired him to do general carpentry for this remodeling job. He was very busy but he managed to squeeze this small job in.

hicagoI was happy with the estimate he gave me. We had a few problems with the installation which were not his fault. He corrected them and didn't charge me extra. His craftsmanship was superb. I am very picky and am very happy with his work. I recommend him highly!

Dilyan originally came for a minor repair I purchased through an Angie's list deal which went well. While he was there I showed him some old built in shelving and cabinets in our den. They were really ugly, but I thought they could still work with some re working and paint, Dilyan instantly understood what I wanted and suggested alterations and painting that would work. The project turned out beautifully and I am very pleased with the outcome. They are now beautiful and much more functional. Saved me some money because I would have ripped them out and started over!

Very professional and on time. Had a few issues with the quality of wood that was used as well as the enclosure They made up for the issue by giving me and extremely deep discount. It was very much appreciated. They let me know after the job that they do in door cabinetry and this was the first out door project they had done. The end result was above and beyond what I expected. I would give them a try. It is had to find someone as honest and forth right as I found them to be!

We started our kitchen renovation project by finding new cabinets we loved, but we needed a contractor who could do demo and installation for us. After getting estimates from a few contractors, we decided to hire Hinwood based on reviews we found here and a good first impression. Dilyan did a great job managing our project and he and his friendly crew worked hard to stay on schedule. Lucy was extremely helpful and patient in guiding us through the process of shopping for countertops, going out of her way to meet us, help us shop, and put up with a bit of indecision on our parts. They were both always very responsive, organized, knowledgeable, and kept us up to date on progress. Living in a construction zone can be tough, but the crew did a great job keeping things as tidy as possible. We are very happy with the final result of our renovation. The installation was done neatly and professionally. The entire project took under three weeks, which was faster than any other contractor estimated. We would definitely hire Hinwood again.

It went pretty well. They picked up materials from Lowes and built the stall bar at their facility. Later, they came an installed it at my house. They did a very good job!

Of the (2) closet doors, (1) was pretty straight forward, while the opening to the other closet had to be modified to accept the door. Our house is an older home from the 40s, with several additions and some recent remodeling...We have issues such as sloping floors, tight spaces and existing duct-work wherever it's most inconvenient. Lucy at Hinwood went over all of the details with me via email prior to their visit...I sent her pictures, and we discussed options for achieving the closet re-sizing. The day of the project, Hinwood's guys were waiting outside and ready to go....The 2 carpenters (Dylan & Raf) got both doors hung that day, and made a huge effort to make sure that the door with the re-sized opening was going to work.....long story short, the track for the bifold could not be hung due to the existing issues with the closet....Dylan went out of his way to think of a solution to the problem and implemented it well. I now have (2) fully functional closet doors! I couldn't have been happier with the communication and attention to detail given by Hinwood. I will definitely be calling on them again in the future for any carpentry projects!

I'm a hard customer to please and Dilyan did a good job. The delivery was a little late because of he was finishing up other jobs before the holiday but I was able to be flexible. We ran into issues with the stain color and hardware. Dilyan was able to address both of these issues to my satisfaction even though they added about another week to finishing the project. I would use Dilyan again.
