Description of Work: We have used Boston Plumbing for about 10 years now and couldn't be happier with their service. Our latest service call involved our garbage disposal. Mike responded to our call by the end of the day and was able to schedule us for the next day. We purchased a replacement garbage disposal based on his recommendation and he installed it. He also have us an estimate on replacing our hot water heater. They are honest and fair in their pricing. We highly recommend them for any plumbing work.

Description of Work: Drain needed rodded out. They wanted $600 just to pull off a toilet to access the pipe, a job I could do in 1 hour. The cost to rod the line was equally obscene - combined over $1,200. I'd never use them. I got it done through another firm for a total of $400 and they sent two guys vs Boston's one.

Description of Work: I had to call 3 times. All 3 times I got a machine and left a message. When I did get a call back I missed the call. When I called back I got a voicemail that stated they may not call back if they don't recognize the number (not professional). Person called back and the price to do the work seemed quite high. That, combined with their lack of response, un-professional voicemail, and overall lack of customer service made me not interested. He could be the best plumber in town but if you don't answer the phone or return calls promptly there are a million other plumbers to do the job.

Description of Work: Had a drip, drip, drip leak from a discharge pipe in my basement ceiling. It was running down into my furnace and short circuiting the blower in my heating/AC unit. This is not good when the temp is 90+. Boston came out within an hour and had the leak fixed in short order. I highly recommend and would use Boston again.

Description of Work: They did galvanized pipes and also fixed the sink pipe underneath my kitchen.

Description of Work: I called Boston Plumbing late Monday morning and left a detailed voicemail asking for a quote on a leaky water heater. Mike called me back 30 to 60 minutes later asking about the unit and the problem. He was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. He assumed I wanted the unit replaced, but when I said I wanted it checked-out first to see if it could be repaired, he was very accommodating and said he would be able to tell once he took a look at it. He said he could be there in 20 minutes. I had to make arrangements to meet him and called him back, and sure enough, once I gave the okay, he was there in 20 minutes or less. Although I didn't meet him personally, he called me with what he found (it had actually outlived its life expectancy and DID need to be replaced) and left me the quote just as I had asked him to. He was very responsive, flexible, knowledgable and easy to work with.

Description of Work: Repaired leak in piping for whirlpool tub.

Description of Work: We used Boston Plumbing to replace a toilet seal. He replaced the wax seal with some sort of special metal sealing collar. He put a silicon seal around the base of the toilet once the work was done.

Description of Work: I used the services of Boston Plumbing Inc about a year and a half ago. They did the subsoil drainage and put in new pipes into the house.

Description of Work: Boston Plumbing was scheduled to be at our home yesterday at 4pm to provide an estimate. No call, no show. Update: About 30 minutes after submitting this report, received a call from Boston to reschedule - advised we are no longer interested in utilizing them.

Description of Work: We had to replace the connection between the house water main and the city connection in the front yard. They did some re-piping inside as well.

Description of Work: Bathroom sink drain was clogged and needed to be cleared. As it turned out, the drain pipe system leading into the basement was old and had several bends and turns in it, some of which were 90 degree angles and this was not allowing the clog to clear. One section of pipe had a right angle (a connection that looked like an inverted T) which was removed and replaced with a pipe that had a curve to it. This seemed to correct the problem.

Description of Work: The plumber replaced a kitchen faucet, installed an undersink reverse osmosis system, improved water flow to my washing machine, fixed a leaky basement faucet, installed a new shower head and cleaned two bathroom sink drains.

Description of Work: Hot water line was rerouted for better efficiency. A hot water circulatory was added. The kitchen sink was completely re-piped for both fresh water and waste water. A new copper line was put in to the ice maker on the fridge. A gas line was relocated so that it was not in the way of the crawl space access opening.

Description of Work: Replaced a copper waste water pipe that had a hole in it with PVC. Also replaced the kitchen waste water pipe, which was almost totally clogged with a new, properly sloped PVC pipe.
