Intelligent Service: Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Drain Cleaning

Went very very well. Thy charge $39 to come to house then add in parts and labor. Can't get better than that. Very knowledgeable. Made suggestions regarding future wet repair vs fix. I called them again for a clogged downspout.

Jason, the plumber who came out, was excellent, efficient and professional and I was very pleased with his work. He provided a couple of quotes, and I elected to get the entire job done. He explained everything very well, which I really appreciated. There was a hiccup with the appointment time. The office did let me know, but an hour after the appointed time (I put a high premium on punctuality). Despite that, I'd probably use them again based on the plumber who did the work.

The technician was prompt, friendly and professional. Upon arrival he immediately went to work to identify the source of the problem in my laundry room. Once the problem was identified, he gave me a detailed explanation of the cause of the issue and what would be entailed to repair it. Within a few minutes he was able to provide the estimate and immediately began the repair. Once his work was complete, he showed me exactly what was done and why. He was kind enough to clean up and replace all of the items in the laundry room that had to be moved so that he could work in the area. Intelligent Plumbing Services will be the first call I make the next time I am in need of a plumber.

Our kitchen faucet sprang a leak on a Friday afternoon. We called Intelligent Plumbing because we had used them before and were very happy with their service. This time, a plumber came to our house within an hour and quickly figured out where the problem was. A new flexible tube was needed in order to repair our faucet. Because of the weekend, we were unable to get the part until Monday. However, on Monday afternoon, around 3pm, another plumber came to our house to install the necessary tube. Everyone at Intelligent Plumbing is very professional and they want please. This is the second time we have been very happy with their work, and we will no doubt call them again when the need arises.

Outstanding. On time, clean, professional, job well done at a fair price. Installation on both sinks looks great, working as expected, well done. Once again, very satisfied with all elements of service from Intelligent - on time, great communication, explained every step of the process and the charges associated, explained issues, did the work very well. I will continue to use Intelligent Plumbing.

After a long day of trying to DIY on a backed up bathtub drain, I gave up and called a local plumber who I have used in the past. As luck would have it he was out of town so I went to Angie's List and looked for the closest plumber with good ratings. Enter Intelligent Plumbing Solutions. It was an after hours call, so the answering service took my info and I was contacted by Neal who asked some questions and stepped thru the pricing for the after-hours call and what the price would be if I waited until Monday morning. I decided to pay the premium and have the work done the same day. Within 30 minutes by service tech Matt came out. He walked me through the pricing structure so I had a clear expectation on my cost. Matt went right to work and was able to rod the drain out and got me up and running. Very professional and friendly service. Would definitely use again! Thanks!

The work was fine and the serviceman was very nice and punctual. My issue is that they price by the job - which means they build in a lot of cushion in case something takes longer. All risk is on the consumer. In this case, the job took about 50 minutes - which is about $300 an hour. The problem is, when you need a plumber, you usually don't have time to look around and compare prices. So, no more pricing by the job for me if i know it up front.

Called at approx 8am with no hot water. Colleen and Neal managed to remove and install a new hot water heater by 2pm. Honest, fast, and priced well. No reason to call anywhere else.

Neil was very knowledgable and provided fast and complete repair of fixtures. Cleaned up after and gave reasonable estimates for future work and good price go completed work. Excellent friendly plumber.

My experience with them was great. Matt was punctual and professional and he was very competent in his work. He was very clean, you?d think a doctor was in there instead of a plumber.

Neal D. was prompt, professional, friendly, and courteous. He was knowledgeable, advised us on our options, and worked diligently until the job was done way beyond our expectations. We will happily refer him to anyone.

Neil was very honest with his suggestions for what we needed to do. He went so far as to vacuum his work area when he finished and explained every part of the process to me. I had seen this company's trucks around town, and after vetting them on Angie's List, I feel confident in the work they did. Colleen made scheduling via email very easy. I plan to have them service my rental property next.

Excellent service; very professional. Neal examined the faucet, explained what needed to be done, options, and gave me a price before work was started. The faucet now works like new. He also handled another small problem with an upstairs faucet at no additional charge. Answered all questions and explained everything in layman's terms. This was my first experience with Intelligent Plumbing and I will now be using them in the future for all my plumbing needs.

I called Intelligent Plumbing yesterday and they had Matt onsite the next morning to give an estimate. I was planning on getting a few more estimates, but was very satisfied with Matt's honest assessment of our required fixes. After receiving and agreeing to the estimate, Matt began work and finished all the repairs by noon. I have had trouble in the past with reliable and reasonable plumbing services, and Intelligent was one on the better experiences I have had. They were prompt, professional, courteous, and reasonably priced. Would definitely use them again.

Neil did a really excellent job explaining our options for the work we needed done and once we decided, finished the job quickly and with much attention to detail. Very professional.

Erik called to let me know when he was on his way. He was on time and very friendly and courteous. I told him what I needed done and he gave me a couple options of what might happen depending on what he found. Luckily the fix was the easier of the two options. They have a book with a flat rate for the job and he gave me the two prices of what it would be depending on what he needed to do, which was exactly what he charged me.

The entire team is incredibly kind, personable, knowledgable, and prompt. It feels really great to have a contact in mind should anything come up plumbing wise with our home. We signed up for their maintenance plan where they come out twice a year to inspect areas such as the water heater for preventative issues. They've even responded to questions via email that I had on general plumping questions around the house. I consider them a gem, and it's piece of mind knowing I have their number. Thanks guys!

Rebuilt bathroom faucet. Went to store to get parts he didn't have on his truck. I'm completely satisfied with the work provided. I have used this provider in the past and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

This week we had Neal out to look at our sump pump issues. Over the weekend the pump alarm went off every two hours. He came out on Monday and, even thought the pump was not their system, Neal took a look at everything, explained several possible scenarios and recommended trying to replace the switch on the pump. He called the third party manufacturer on my behalf (I have a two year old running around), got me the replacement part at no cost and said to call when it arrived and they'd come back for the general cost of a service call to install it. No charge that day just to come and take a look. Two days later Matt installed the switch. He was fast and cleaned up the area very well. Super nice guy. Yesterday, my pump alarm started going off again. I placed a call to the office and Neal called me back within 20 minutes. He said he'd be over in two hours. He called me once in the mean time to let me know he was on his way but might be delayed due to weather (it was like -30 yesterday!). Turns out this time my pipes were frozen and the water was not ejecting. The piping that the previous home owners had done was not done correctly. He thawed the pipes, and then we talked about options for the pump since the switch seemed to maybe be not the only problem with the pump. Neal gave me a few differently priced options. There was no pressure to get a new pump, but because of having a small child at home and knowing our pump was past warranty, I chose to install a new pump. The price was competitive and Neal did an awesome job installing it. He installed it with a "quick fix" so that my piping would not continue to freeze throughout this winter. We'll need a more permanent solution in the spring. He cleaned up the area, took away the battery that was filled with acid so I didn't have to deal with it, put a safer cover on it since we have a child, and explained how everything would work. Neal was totally professional and extremely personable. He was extremely nice to my toddler (who thought it was great he had an "cool flashlight"). He seems to really love his job. Another point was, I was home by myself for all of these service calls and felt totally comfortable as a woman by herself with both Matt and Neal in my home. Neal was especially kind and courteous. I trusted he was giving me good advice and a fair price. We've used Intelligent Plumbing at both our main residence and our rental property and have had a great experience every time. You hate to have to call the plumber (Colleen and Lisa who answer the phone are also very nice) but they made this experience as painless and pleasant as possible.

It could not have gone better. The service person called ahead of the scheduled time to let me know he was on the way and would arrive on time. Very professional and easy to talk to. He assessed the work required, gave me an estimate and I authorized the repairs. I would not hesitate to recommend Intelligent plumbing to anyone and will definitely call them the next time I have a plumbing issue. Workmanship is excellent and the price was fair.

Plumber showed up on time and quickly solved drain problem. Was very neat and price was very reasonable.

At 6:30 am I noticed that my hot water tank was leaking. I was having guests for dinner at 6pm. I went through a list of about 6 plumbers, two of which said they could come at 3pm and a couple which didn't call me back until 9am. Intelligent called me back and told me a time that I could expect to see someone at my door that morning. The serviceman was very professional, had shoe covers for his shoes which many don't; put down coverings on my carpet and was very careful about bringing the hot water tank up and down two flights of stairs. He quoted me the rate at the very beginning which is more than you should typically spend now having talked with other friends and relatives but it needed to be done. They install Bradford White Defender hot water tanks. Now having looked online, this hot water tank has a lot of bad reviews on consumer affairs. I am afraid that this tank isn't going to last long and Bradford White doesn't seem to honor warranties based on the reviews I read . I guess I should have gone over to Home Depot and picked out a better tank.

My first experience with Inteligent Pluming was the night of July 3rd 2014 when my basement was half full of water because the sump pump was not working. Neal came out at 11:30 at night right before the holiday and installed a new pump at a critical time for a great deal. He was very helpful and knowlegdeable about everything that he was doing and gave many suggestions on how he would do the work if it was his home. He did the work as quickly and quietly as possible and saved my vacation that I was leaving for the next day. Since I had Neal back for a free consultation to look through the rest of the plumbing in my house and get the water quality tested and answer any questions that i had about the house I just purchased. I just had Neal back 2 weeks ago to install a new water heater and laundry ejector because those were past their life span and I didn't want water in my basement again. Neal was ontime and prepared for job that needed done. 2 days before he came out one of my shower drains started to get slow and he even looked at that and cleaned it out in addition to the work that he was already doing at no charge. The sump pump discharge was part of the quote with the water heater but there wasn't enough daylight to get that portion finished. Neal worked with my schedule and even worked on the outside portion before I could get home to let him in for the inside part. He cleaned up his jobsite inside and out and left my house better than it was looking before. And more funtional too! I will definately use Neal and Intelligent Plumbing in the future.

It was an unusual experience - for us - in that the whole process was as one would EXPECT, but rarely happens. Called to set up appointment, got a reminder call, Matt - the tech - called with ETA and arrived promptly. Repairs were done, he cleaned up, Our second experience with this company, both very positive.
