Intelligent Service: Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Drain Cleaning

Sewer line going to the street was exposed and backed up. There was a break in the old clay piping. They dug out the section of broken pipe, installed new piping, cleaned out the line, filled in around the new piping with stone and then dirt, and removed all the old broken piping. They were efficient, kept me informed of all that was happening, were very professional when talking with me, very respectful when they had to come into my home, and worked until the job was finished.

Overall, they are a very good company. They explain everything really well. They probably are little bit more expensive than some other ones, but we felt comfortable with all the technicians we have ever had and a guy named Jason is the owner and he has always been great, so we trust them, but I do think they probably are little bit more expensive than some other company. I would definitely use them again.

They were great. They were really quick to get here. The guy was very knowledgeable, and the price was fair. I would use them again.

He was onetime, knew what he was doing, was able to fix the problem with a screwdriver and he did not charge for the call.

Extremely professional and timely. Would recommend them (and have) to anyone! Had all the parts on their truck so no wasted time or return trips.

I really like the guys from Intelligent Plumbing Services. They were very professional. I was so impressed with them. You expect plumbers to be good at that for mechanics and plumbing but you don’t really expect the level of customer service and professionalism in dealing with the customer that they showed. They even sent me a thank you card.

The plumber kept quoting prices from his "official" book that were much higher than what he eventually agreed to accept. His explanation was that those prices were for more affluent areas and they were willing to lower their prices in working class neighborhoods like mine. However, after problems with my main water shut-off valve and the undersink valves and the dishwasher connection, the price climbed to around $1000. He seemed honest and friendly. He handled the leak reasonably quickly after a trip back to his shop. It just all added up to a lot of money since I had purchased the sink and fittings separately.

FINE!!! They came on time and did a good job.

Everything was fine. We've been in our house a year now and have had this plumber out MANY times. We have a large home maintenance on many things had been neglected by the previous owner. Intelligent plumbing has always been responsive, friendly and very professional. Can't recommend them enough.

Ejector pump stopped working over the past weekend. Couldn't reach my regular plumber, so I called Intelligent. I spoke to Colleen about my problem, and she said she would call me back. Within minutes she called back and said that Neal would be finishing a job in Rolling Meadows and get to my home within the hour. Neal arrived well within the hour. He was able to assess the job and was able to quote me right away. I gave him the OK and he got right to work. He finished on time and cleaned up the area to look like he wasn't even there. Neal was great!! Here is what I liked: -Neal told me what was wrong and WHY there was a problem. -He told me ahead of time exactly what he was going to do,and how he was going to do it, and the materials he was going to use...nothing to hide here. -He explained how the initial work on this pump installation could have been done better by the original installer, and how his installation would correct some of the problems with the initial work. He was right -His upbeat attitude was refreshing. His knowledge and willingness to share with me was outstanding. He was very patient with me, and seemed enthusiastic about answering all my dumb questions -Very clean and clean-cut, Neals professionalism is second to none. I don't know about their prices - high or low. I do know that the Zoeller pump he put in is expensive,and frankly I feel that I got my monies worth on this job. I can't wait for the next problem. My other guys is fired...I'm using Intelligent from now on.

It took a couple of days to schedule (non-emergency), they came on time and repaired the problem quickly at the quoted price. They checked my other toliets for trouble and tighted loose connections for no additional cost.

Had an appointment with another local Arlington Heights plumber who did not show. Called Intelligent and they got someone out same day, did the repairs quickly, showed up on time. Matt A., was very professional. Price was about $50 more than the lowest price I could find, but about $25 cheaper than the most expensive I found. Would definitely use them again.

Matt Alcala was the tech who fixed two high-end Kohler faucets. Fantastic gentleman. Polite, prompt...class act! Give him a raise....

Called in the morning asking for help with clogged shower drain. The said they could come out this afternoon between 2pm and 4pm. They showed up, assessed the problem and quoted me a price to clean drain. They reduced it because I'm an Angie's List member. 10 minutes, the job was done. Jesse was a nice guy.

He did a very good job. He was an excellent plumber. He even wrote us a note detailing what he had done so we could charge it as condo fees. We're going to use him to fix our water heater as well.

We were very impressed with the proffessionalism Matt showed when he showed up at our door. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about what he was doing. He also explained what he was doing step by step.We moved out to Mount Prospect about eight years ago from the city, where we had " a guy" . We have " a guy " now with Intelligent Plumbing!

Neal, our plumbing technician installed a new Storm Pro sump pump back up power system in our home. He removed the old sump pump, removed all the accumulated silt from the bottom of the pit, new piping, etc. This new system has a far superior sump pump and power back up compared to those that are purchased at the big box retailers. On top of that,, its all USA made!. We now have total piece of mind in the event we have a severe storm that produces heavy rain and the possibility of a power outage. We are very pleased with the service that Neal continues to provide us each time he comes our to our home. Colleen always provides excellent customer service. Another job done professionally well. Intelligent Plumbing is highly recommended for all your plumbing and remodeling updates/needs.

Same day service of a leak and mess in our basement that we returned to from Vacation. Fast, friendly and great service. Will call them again anytime we need plumbing services.

As detailed above, my experience with Intelligent Plumbing Services was so outstanding that I was motivated to write my first Angies list review. I will also share this company information with our family and friends.

It was quite early morning , so I sent a E-mail to ask the repair of clogging bathtub. The receptionist (She was very nice) called us within minutes and quickly contacted the technician, asking him call us. He called us immediatly and gave us arriving time. He came on time and explained the work and price. He was very friendly,helpful, generous and professional. He did a great job, and we are very happy with his excellent work. We highly recommend and be using again.

I wish this company could have done the job.

We were very satisfied with the work Matt the plumber did for us. He was knowledgable and answered all our question before he started the job.We have used Intelligent plumbing three time in 2012 and were very satisfied with all the work they have done for us. The pricing for all three jobs were reasonable.Intelligent Plumbing is who we call when we need plumbing service.

We found Intelligent Plumbing Services on Angie's List and called them to request help with a plumbing problem. We were told that the plumber would be available after he completed another job. That was very good new! A very nice young man arrived at the house as expected, and after inspecting the sump pump area, he explained the three options he had for us to consider. My husband asked when the work could be done. Jason said he could complete it at that time. (More good news!) Jason began the work immediately. He removed the old sump pump, old piping, and cleaned the "well", and then replaced the "old" with a new sump pump, new piping, and a quiet check valve. It had been a long day for him, but he did not sacrifice the quality of his work because it was late in the day. It was a job very well done. We are very satisfied, and grateful to have it done that day.

Neil did a good job, I would consider him again in the future.

On Sunday 12/30 (yes the day before New Year's Eve), I noticed a leak under the water heater. I was not sure if it was serious or not. I called Intelligent. They convinced me that I did not need immediate service and were able to get a repair person there on Monday morning. The repair guy was very personable and very knowledgeable. He had the heater replaced in a couple of hours. At no time was I ever pressured to buy a fancier water heater. I was very pleased with them and would definitely use them again.
