Intelligent Service: Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Drain Cleaning

Of the two installed, one continued to leak. A service rep promptly returned and repaired the toilet. No charge. He even fixed a faucet and a shower head in one of the bathrooms. No charge. Excellent experience.

We had Matt A. out to our home to clead out a blocked kitchen sink drain. Matt was great; he was coureous, knowledgable about how to approach the problem, thorough in his work and kept our kitchen clean throughout the process of rodding out the drain. We'll definately keep Intelligent Plubming Services in mind for future plubming needs.

We've used Intelligent Plumbing now on two separate occasions, and honestly will NEVER use anyone else again. Be it Matt, Jason, or Neal that help or come out, they are always wonderful! Neal came out this time since we have no water what so ever in the house. I was unsure if it was something the City of Chicago would take care of, or if we needed to hire a plumber ourselves. Neal confirmed our main line was in fact frozen and called a friend to ask about the city's guidelines. He urged me to call the city back and get a straight answer from them if they would take care of it for us at no charge. Low and behold, he was right they are coming out today to mark the lines & having a crew come to thaw out the line. Needless to say, Neal saved us probably $1,500 by doing this. He really didn't have to, he could have done the "sales" speech and scared me into having Intelligent Plumbing get working on it right away. In this case honesty was the best medicine, because of Neal's professionalism we should have running water again at no cost to us & with a full family, ever dollar counts. I do have some other housekeeping plumbing items to work on in the near future & Intelligent Plumbing will be who I'm calling! Thanks for all you do!

I was very impressed. He was extremely professional, took time to explain why there was a problem, was very neat and clean when doing the work and had to rod out several times in order for it to open up completely. I believe they are honest, hard working and knowledgable.

Matt showed up right on time at 7:30am and did a great job. Very professional service, very polite. I have a newer house that had a master bathroom shower that would get very warm, but never hot. Eventually I decided something must be wrong with the valve that controls the hot and cold. I called Intelligent Plumbing to take a look. At first it looked like a part needed to be replaced which was fine with me. Then as Matt looked deeper into it, he realized the original installer when the house was built, never installed the valve correctly. Matt reinstalled the value and now my shower is so hot that I think I need to turn down the temp on the water heaters! Great work!! I was very happy. Matt also installed a valve on my natural gas line to my deck grill and checked my sump pump. Very happy I called these guys. I will definitely use again.

Our water heater leaked and they were out to replace it.

Called at 11:00 am to report the leak. Got a call back within 15 minutes, and a plumber was here within the hour. Matt, was very dilligent in trying to find the source of the leak with minimal cutting into walls. He measured and traced it down and had to cut out a section of the lower lever ceiling to see where it was coming from, and was successful. Matt was very pleasant and professional and did a great job. Would highly recommend them.

They were quick to respond and had someone at our house the day I called. I had bought the wrong size materials to be installed and they helped me determine what I needed to buy. They were very helpful and professional and I would recommend them.

Needed a new 1/3 hp sump. Unlike every other Angie's List plumber I called, this company refused to provide any estimate of the cost of pump installed nor would they say who's pump they use. Others would give a price and what product they installed which lets me make an educated choice. And the prices ranged from $300 to $700. So while they may be good, I will use someone else rather than waste time having them come and then tell me a price. After al,l they may be good BUT as you see by the price range, could also be very high.

Neal at Intelligent Plumbing did an excellent job. He came and reviewed what needed to be done in advance. He provided thorough information about this project as well as other plumbing questions we had. He was engaged, unrushed and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He came back on the day needed and completed the work. The customer service and technical competence were unsurpassed. I highly recommend this company!

I called Intelligent plumbing based on reviews from Angie's List. They came out and I told them about my problem with the sewer back up. I was hoping they could put a camera in the sewer line from inside my house, but their policy is that they do not open up sewer lines inside the home (it was drained by this time with no risk of backup into my house, but that is their policy - I was fine with that). My house is older, so it had no exterior cleanout. I knew from previous experience that the line leaving my foundation was cracked and offset, so I approved them excavating my yard and replacing the line (about 10 feet or so). This went very smoothly. They put in the clean out then proceeded with a camera to see if there was any blockage towards the curb. I saw on the video that there were roots blocking the flow so they proceeded to use a cutter tool. Unfortunately, this was not a great success, but they were able to get enough blockage out of the way to see that there was another crack in the pipe near the sidewalk. Because of this, we came to an agreement that they would dig that section out and replace the broken pipe with PVC. They felt bad about this second job being necessary after the first job was done, but there was no option and they informed me that the replacement near my house may not be the only issue. Bottom line is that the pipe was fixed in two spots, they put in a clean out and I feel good that the job was well done and backed up by this team. The only way this could have possibly gone better was if they were able to inspect the line from inside my house then I would have know immediately that I had two problems to deal with instead of one. Intelligent took care of all of the permits and also replaced one square of concrete in the sidewalk. I have used Intelligent plumbing since this work was completed.

The water pipe to going to the back yard drain burst and was pouring water into our basement. I found Intelligent Plumbing through Angie's list. and they were able to find a technician and called me back within 15 minutes to schedule the appointment. The technician (Matt) called to confirm that he was on his way with an ETA and was at our house exactly when he promised. Matt was highly professional and was able to fix the problem in about an hour and get our water turned back on. The whole process from the moment I called the company took about 3 hours, I was very satisfied with the whole experience and would definitely call this company again in the future.

I selected Intelligent Plumbing from Angie's list, after thoroughly comparing several manufacturer's products. Idecided to purchase from Intelligent Plumbing after a visit and discussions with their Neal Deacon. Neal was a joy to communicate with. He is very professional, andknows sump pump considerations well. All my questions were answered. The Storm Pro model I wanted has important features for me. I particularly liked the Inverter feature. Neal spent several hours installing the system and all went well.I'm confident the system will be good insurance against a flooded basement. the 3 year manufacturer's warranty is extended by I telligent Plumbing to include labor which is reassuring re reliabilityof the product. Their office representative Colleen handled all my phone inquiries in a courteous, prompt and professional manner and deserves mention. I plan to continue using this firm for any future plumbing needs !

Matt was here early, took care to make sure he kept our house clean, worked quickly and efficiently to fix the leak.

We made appointment - came the next day. He was running a little behind, but he called and let us know. When he arrived he was very professional and completed the needed repair in a timely manner. My husband is not usually impressed with contractors, but he was with the service by the technician. We will definitely be using them again.

It went great. Neal Deacon was an excellent communicator. I am an accountant by trade and most of this stuff goes over my head. He did an excellent job explaining what he was doing and what we needed to have done. He did our original estimate. The price probably is a little higher than other providers, but they came out promptly and were very professional.

The service call was originally just for an estimate, but after hearing how the job would go, and getting the quote, it was a no brainer to have the work done right then and there! Neal was great. His professionalism, cleanliness, and attention to details were amazing. One of the silcocks entered the house behind a finished wall, which required determining the precise location, opening the wall and eventually finishing off with an access panel. All of this was done to perfection. I can't say enough about how great this experience was.....Neal was ideal - and such a great guy as well (great sense of humor)! I would definitely use Intelligent Plumbing Services again without hesitation! THANKS!!!

Not well. I can't speak for the quality of service since I didn't get any. The technician who called me back was very professional, just not helpful. My toddler and I may have to stay with friends tonight.

Intelligent found a way to get someone to my home the same afternoon I called with a clogged kitchen sink. The receptionist called me back within 20 minutes of my first call to say someone would be able to come by, and would call when he was on his way. Jason was friendly and professional, and took the time to explain things in language I could understand. He also was kind enough to take a look at a couple sink stoppers that weren't working properly and fixed both within moments at no extra charge. I asked some questions about back-up batteries for sump pumps,and he provided very helpful information without any sales pressure. We will use Intelligent again.

We have roots growing into our sewer line at the junction with the main and we've had Intelligent Plumbers out a few times for regular maintenance. The technician, who was the same as a couple of years ago, was punctual, professional, and pleasant.

After spending 3 hours trying to cut tree roots which had entered the main line, Mr. Kerr said he couldn't break through and charged us $510. He then quoted us $8,800 to replace 20' of main line. I called another company and they also did a main line power rod, for $400, and succeeded in cutting away the roots. They informed me, before beginning work, that should they not get through the roots there would be no charge. They said it is standard policy when rodding main lines that there is only a charge if they are successful. We contacted Mr. Kerr and he refused us a refund, even though he did not open the line. Since that time we've gotten quotes, based on a camera scan of the main line, and found that only a 7' piece of line, not 20', needed replacing. We have had this replaced for a charge of $4300.
