SERVICE MASTER CLEANERS

I don't understand these poor ratings. My company has worked with ServiceMaster for years. Larry and his entire team really care about what they do and do a wonderful job. They've helped me with cleaning projects and carpet cleaning. I've also attended a few of their seminars and they have been very helpful.

They implied the work would be done within a week. It took more like one month They had State Farm claims send me a check with no explanation. Naturally I thought it was for overpayment. Later, by letter I find out by mail from Servicemaster that the amount in ths check was to have been sent to Servicemaster.. I received a threatning later 2 wks later threatning coll threatning this amount going to a collection agency. Do not do business with this agency in Mt. Sterling. They do not complete work in a timely fashion and when they do it is shoddy. Their billing is equally bad.

I want to warn anyone who uses Service Master They charged for work never done, double billed for work, gave falsified invoices and refused to give me documents to support their claims - which they were legally obligated to do - I contacted the Attorney General and filed a complaint under Consumer Protection. about their billing - My insurance company paid me for work I had done and payment to Service Master for their work. At the end of the day - Service Master demanded all the monies given me by my insurance company saying it was all theirs. I tried multiple time to explain that it was not all theirs and that the insurance company included payments to me for subcontracted work. They falsified billing in order to justify their demands and refused to give me any information about the subcontractors - Under IL law they are obligated to give me all the information from a subcontractor if I request it - I requested it and they said they would sue me for the money. ALSO, Under the Home Improvement and Remodeling Act they cannot charge over $1000 without a contract - they charged an addition $5600 with out approval and then wouldn't give me anything that justified the added expenses. When I asked for the billing they didn't have it and told me they would sue me for the money. PLEASE KNOW YOUR RIGHTS BEFORE WORKING THEM - THEY WILL TRY TO STRONG ARM YOU AND BULLY YOU INTO PAYING THEM WHATEVER THEY WANT Also, check out their attorney: Drew T Erwin "ripoff report" No wonder they work together.
