Stergo Roofing

Redid our roof in 2018 with a guarantee for 5 years. In 2020 the roof was leaking and they would not return multiple calls and e-mails to come and fix their work.

It was good. He followed up and kept in touch. My neighbor was complaining and he took care of that. He was able to talk to them. They were worried about the damage but they assured that they'll take care of it.

They did everything that was needed. The price was quoted. We were happy. They did just fine.

It was excellent. They were super expert. Their solution was great. They were professional and on time. The owner was involved too.

Great company to work with. I have a flat, rubberized roof that needed repairs and a new reflective coating applied. Other companies were pushing for full roof replacement, but Stergo came in with detailed explanation of how repairs could extend the life. Overall very good communication from start to finish. Very responsive to some last minute needs. Reasonable and fair pricing even when using commercial grade coating for roof that should last longer than coatings used previously. Job site workers were very professional and courteous. Overall a great experience.

[UPDATED 6/25/2020] - On June 11, 2019, a Stergo employee broke the transom window above my back door. Numerous workers over the years have climbed to the roof & always put the ladder against the other door without a transom. The ladder slipped & broke the back porch electrical light, glass chimney on oil lamp, completely shattered one-of-a-kind glass pitcher & glass shards gouged my brand new wooden floor. Stergo replaced the window, but left a mess around the window, He subsequently repaired it at my request. I told Stergo the light fixture & glass chimney were expendable and did not need to be replaced. All I wanted was the pitcher replaced and the floor put back in the unspoiled, new condition as before the incident. Stergo assured he would correct the issues & make everything right. When the floor was installed I did not have any contact with the installer--the kitchen contractor handled that. When this incident happened I called the installer & was told he couldn't just redo the 18" x 22" section of damaged floor. It would not look uniform with the rest of the kitchen which included a 6' x 4' breakfast nook He gave me an estimate of $1400 for repairs. Stergo thought that was too expensive & said he made an appointment for someone else to give an estimate. No one called me and no one came to look at the damage. The pitcher was an antique & one of a kind. Stergo wanted an amount to replace it. Priceless does not mean zero. $100 seems reasonable to me I would rather have the pitcher. I do not cover the damaged area of the floor with a mat as it could create a tripping hazard. Over this past year dirt has accumulated making the gouges even more visible. Stergo has claimed that I left reviews that he did a horrible job on the roof. Read the review. That is not what it says. After one year Stergo offered $100 for the pitcher and $700 for the damage to the floor. I was willing to accept that. Now he has decided not to pay anything because he says I am "difficult." He says he "will not be responsible for her area of roofing because she might make other claims on my company." Our building's roofing contract has an 8-year warranty. There is a flat roof on our 3-flat building. What is my area of roof? In addition to not compensating me for his negligence, he would also breach a warranty because I expect him to to the responsible thing by compensating me for his negligence inside my home.

The owner of the company, Steve, came in person to provide the estimate and review work to be done. He communicated via email and phone to confirm appointment time and date well. After examining the condition of the flat roof and listening to our request, he provided some advice and options verbally. This was followed up by an emailed written estimate within 48 hours. He also gave me an estimate of work date whihch was helpful. We made our decision quickly based on the price (which he discounted); payment term (we wanted to pay in full upon work completion); date of service; the 24-month warranty; and the fact taht he was providing a contractor's release of lien upon final payment. He informed us of the service date change quickly and re-scehduled at our convenience. When work started, workers were quick, efficient and not distrputive. They waited for Steve to perform his final inspection to leave the premises whihc they left clean and free of debris. Recently, we had question about some cracking we observed on the roof surface. Steve prompty responded to our call and provided explanations. The company would like to branch out to serve individuals in addition to its commercial clientele: I would recommend Stergo Roofing to someone who needs a flat roof redo.

The job was great, very professional, Steve himself took the time to make sure that everything was perfect and also to make sure nothing was left behind in the property. He advised me correctly on what was best for my business roof needs which was great since I had not much knowledge in this type of work. He has tons of experience and that is why he did a second job for me, this time I needed to fix the roof in my home. Once again his team did a wonderful job and it was completed in the time frame that we had first agreed on. Overall I am very happy with the service provided, the company is very reliable, professional and experienced. I highly recommended!

They were on time and did a good job. They have yet to come back to put the aluminum coating on. Steve assured me they would. He said the material needed to cure before applying aluminum coating.
