Description of Work: We purchased new lighting for over the kitchen island, undercounter lights, and cans around the ceiling. Also, we purchased a co-ordinated lamp for over the breakfast room and can lights there also. Additionally, we purchased two co-cordinated sconces for the utility hall leading from the kitchen to the core greeting area in the house. Finally, we purchased a designer chandelier for the dining room (yet to arrive and be installed). However, all lamps were purchased from NorthWest (we worked with Thomas, Jr. who is extremely knowledgable) but they do not do the install. We also had the high tech Lutron dimmer system installed which gives us the pre-set 'sceen' lighting so that with the press of one button the lighting 'sceen' (determins which lights and the amount of light from each) is glowing. Most of which is low voltage and beautiful! Haven't really paid much attention as yet to the electric bill to notice any difference; we are still in a gaze over how attractive it really is. We plan on completing the foyer and entry hall and half bath before calling it quits - on the first floor for now (we are also working with Sean who happens to be a former electrician and just finished his interior designer certification - he gave us some great ideas). NorthWest recommended another electrical contractor which we did use and he is slow but extremely good and his price was very fair for the amount of time he took. Ask for Scotty his choice of radio stations sucks but his work is impeccable!!! You won't be disappointed with this company or their installer company; we are very picky and were completely pleased. UPDATE 10/21/2011: The chandelier has finally arrived at NorthWest and has been scheduled for pick-up and install by Scotty the electrician. Everything about these two companies is great with the major exception of two way communication with NorthWest - they are simply awful about returning telephone calls even when they say they will, they don't! Once completed we have decided to change lighting companies to one in Highland Park/Northbrook area to complete the work - so sad to have to change in the middle but impossible to continue with people who won't return your calls and keep you informed.
