When dealing with a 114yr plus house there are always suprises they showed up at 9.30 and left at6.00pm they had to go in through a 14 inch brick wall and were dealing with a built out basement do not think that that was planned never stopping and facing each problem head on and did a super job

Showed up on time, worked through the challenges-difficult to go through blown on insulation, difficult to find where to tie electric into, etc., cleaned up afterwards, lowered original estimate when he realized there was less work involved with the radiant floor heat installation.

George came out within 24 hours to give me a quote. I gave him my time frame, he called me the next week to schedule the work. He and his assistant showed up on time the day of the appointment and finished within a couple of hours. I came home to find the job completed. They cleaned up after themselves and I couldn't even tell they had been working in my home.

Arrived both times(first to inspect and order new fans, then to return 3 days later to install)when promised. Installed professionally and neatly. Also volunteered to looked at any other electrical problems. Made a temporary fix of a low-voltage fixture problem and guided me on what replacement parts to buy; did not charge an additional fee. George asked how I found him. When I cited Angie's List, he immediately applied the coupon discount without being asked. This was a small fix-it job, but I would certainly call George first for my next electrical project.

George returned my call within 12 hours. He showed up promptly and performed the work quickly and professionally, explaining what the problem was with the circuit. He replaced the switch to the air conditioner/heating unit and told me that if the problem continued, I should call a HVAC company. He gave me a discount for being an Angie's List member.

I called and spoke to George regarding the job. He said he would call me back the following week when he had a better idea of when he could stop by. He never called me back. I wish he would have been straightforward with me if he wasn't interested in the job instead of giving me the runaround.

George was always prompt and was professional with follow-up. Prior to the job, he offered up ideas for track lighting, which was appreciated. He did all the work contracted in one day (with a helper). They cleaned up very well (especially appreciated since they had to cut into drywall) and left everything in good working order. Would have had him do more work, but budget did not allow at this time. Would definitely hire George again in the future.

It was very good. He was very responsive. I called him and he called back in a short amount of time. We agreed on a period of time in which he would come out and he came the day he was supposed to. He gave me a reasonable price and got the work completed quickly. The quality of the work was good.

I had a light switch stop working and contacted my home warranty company to enter a service request. The contractor they assigned to the job did not show up for the appointment and did not return my calls. I decided to search for an electrician on Angie's List rather than try my luck with the warranty company again, as I assumed they would assign the same company. I found George's company, Karidas Electric, called and left a message to please call me so that I could get an estimate on the job. George called me back later that afternoon and was able to schedule an appointment for me two days later. He was prompt, polite and professional and replaced the switch. The service call cost only slightly more than the service call from the warranty company would have and the experience was much better.

George is very thorough. His estimates are always well thought out. If anything unexpected comes up, George will call to let me know and to discuss how to proceed. He is neat when he works and cleans up after he is done.

I contacted Karidas Electric and left a message. George got back to me with 30 minutes of my call. I explained my electrical problem and he gave me a few things to try. After trying his suggestions and still having no power, we set a time for him to come out the next day. George arrived promptly at the time we discussed and was courteous. He clearly explained what he was testing and where the problems where. He replaced the faulty circuit and was careful when removing the electrical box cover so as not to chip the paint. I inquired about some other electrical work I would like to do in the future and he gave me ball park figures on what the job would cost. I would definitely recommend Karidas Electric - George is knowledgeable, fair and reliable.

Very nicely done. He was very pleasant and worked in the rain - it was a very difficult day. Many electricians would have given up and said they couldn't do it today, but he stuck with it.

Called and left message for George the owner. George called me back the next day and we set up an appointment for an estimate. Appointment was kept on agreed day and time. I accepted the estimate and George came back on agreed day and started work. Work was completed during the week. What a pleasure to work with this man. He was pleasant, business like, prompt and thorough. He made suggestions about the new outside outlet that I hadn't thought of and it worked out very well.

The estimate was scheduled for a Saturday morning. They did not call nor did they show up. On Monday we got a call from them saying "whoops" and they gave excuses. If they can't show up for an estimate how am I supposed to trust they will show up for the job?

I called 3 electrical contractors on a Thursday. Got one busy signal, left 2 messages. Only George Karidas returned my call (same day). He gave an estimate the next day and completed the work the following Monday. He was prompt, professional and did high quality work. The price was fair. He worked about 6 hours with a helper. They took a break for lunch.

We have used his services many times. I initially called him because the comments on the List. He is very reliable and calls to let you know when he will be there. He is meticulous and reliable. I had a couple of small things that I needed done that were not in the quote and he fixed them and did not charge extra for them.

He arrived on time and explained what he needed to do. The price was cheaper then I expected, and he was prompt on calling back. He is professional and I would recommend him!

He came out and gave me a quote and he told me where to get the supplies. He gave me an order sheet and then he picked it up. He finished in a couple of hours. He cleaned up after himself. I would recommend him to others. I asked him if he could change his schedule for me. He did so he was very accommodating.

On time, knowledgeable, explained what he was doing and why, cleaned up, and did a few things that I consider "over and above" in a good way. George was great.

We hired George Karidas soon after moving in to our new home. Hanging the new chandelier proved to be a bit of a challenge because much of the wiring in our home is old and it wasn't a simple swap. Mr Karidas is knowledgeable, thorough, tidy, and budget conscious.

George responded to my initial call promptly and arrived on time on the agreed date for service. He did a thorough investigation and determined the cause of the problem. Providing me with a temporary solution, he promised to find an exact replacement of the older type of breaker which was in my home and would call me regarding the cost. He called two days later with this information. We scheduled a mutually convenient date upon which George installed the new breaker. George's charges included the cost of the new breaker ($47.00) plus one hour of work. He did not charge me for any of his travel time over the two days and he provided me with a 10% discount as an Angie's List member. George was totally competent in his work and was willing to provide me with any information I requested. We discussed other electrical work I plan to have done in my home. From now on, George Karidas is my one and only electrician.
