Description of Work: Spray foam sealing of perimeter of attic, covered any electrical, netting materiial applied on surface and sprayed insulation in to attic. They were on time, explained procedure before starting and during operation. The men cleaned up any mess when finished. Plaster of hole to attic was professional.

Description of Work: After passing through the NICOR/ComEd loan/rebate process (which Green Attic is a certified "provider" for, one of a few), the insulation installation job was scheduled, and performed, very promptly and professionally. | |The insulation crew, and the infrared test/evaluation single "agent" were incredibly well briefed/educated, very polite and professional. Even refused an offer of libations at the end of the installation... seriously. | |I'd recommend them without reservations, and definitely use them, over other similarly qualified entities. | |Great job Green Attic!

Description of Work: He checked the whole house and took lots of photo's. He said that they will email me pictures soon with their recommendations and comments. It's been more than two months and I haven't received yet! I feel like I wasted my time and money!

Description of Work: Attic insulation project. | |We had a very positive experience from getting an initial assessment of the scope of work through job completion. | |The crew were friendly and communicated what they were doing over the course of the 2 day job. We were offered the chance to periodically inspect the work and ask questions. | |Clean up was quick and thorough as was the explanation of the completed work.

Description of Work: Still waiting for a quote to do the work. The rep who did the assessment (which was very thorough) told me they were very busy and it would be a while before they could schedule any work.

Description of Work: I hired them to do dense packed insulation in the ceiling of my condo to 'soundproof' due to the noise above me. Noise included foot traffic, conversation and laughter heard fairly clearly, music, dog, etc. | |Result: I can still hear some high pitched laughter and conversation so it has not helped as much as I would have liked or hoped for the high price I paid, but it is muffled. You can still hear foot traffic but I was told that would be expected because that is sound caused by pressure on the floor above me. The music noise still can be heard but that is due to rude and disrespectful neighbors in the condo above me blasting music like they live in a club. They did say it would never be 100% soundproofed, but I suppose I expected more noise reduction. | |Knowledge: They are definitely knowledgeable and even helped me with some pointers like installing recessed covered LED lights in my ceiling instead of open canned lights to help trap the noise. | |Price: They came in the highest pricing wise by about $700 more than the next lowest bidder, but they definitely seemed to be the most knowledgeable and knew what the job would take. In order to help with the price they offered a 5% discount for paying in cash and they also let me know of a $500 rebate through People's Gas (my gas company) which brought the price down from their original price of $3,950. | |Professionalism: They did their best to contain the dust and mess from the work they had to do. They cleaned up after each day to ensure my condo went back to a clean (as clean as they could) living condition. One of the owners came back to inspect the final job which was good and he wasn't happy with how they cleaned the hallway of my condo building so he sent them back to clean again. That showed me they care to upkeep their reputation.

Description of Work: There was some initial confusion regarding the day they were supposed to come. They forgot to schedule it and I took the day off and they never showed. Were slow to return calls, but once they did they were very apologetic and made amends. The work they did was excellent. They added new insulation to the attic adding baffles along the way. They helped me complete all the rebate forms for ComEd and Nicor. The cost listed was before the rebates were applied. I would recommend them.

Description of Work: They performed full insulation of the attic with organic, safe insulation. They covered the AC ducts as well as the junction boxes and the walls of the skylights.

Description of Work: I purchased the blower door test and received an e-mail from Andrei that they were busy and it would take several weeks to schedule. I didn't hear from them for nearly 2 months so I e-mailed and asked for a refund. Andrei apologized and offered a discount on future services but I had already contacted another company.

Description of Work: Provided an energy efficiency / leakage assessment and estimate of work to improve efficiency. Went very well, and the gentleman who came out was thorough, efficient and very helpful in explaining the issues.

Description of Work: Insulation estimate with lots of useful tips on related roofing and asbestos work necessary prior to blowing insulation. Disappointing that weather and other issues prevented the full insulation check but that's not really anyone's fault.
