+ 1 moreEverything went smoothly and was done with no gaps or lags in time. He was there everyday until the job was finished. All materials were on-site when he started so there was no wait for materials to be delivered. Each bathroom took approximately one week.
Description of Work: Robert Stopa, owner of Creative Home remodeling gutted a masterbath and hall bath, consecutively. Everthing was done with repect to keeping my home immaculate during a messy job. Everything was covered and cleaned everyday. When the masterbath was finished, he started on the hall bath. Everything, in both bathrooms was taken down to the studs and re-built from there. Cement backer board was used on the walls and floors, and then sealed. The tub in the masterbath was removed and replaced with a shower stall. The shower floor was created using the same tile as on the walls only in smaller size tiles---no ready made or purchased shower base!! Concerning the hall bath, a new tub was put in wth a tile deck and surround. Even though it is a very small bath in a home built in 1957, it has all of the amenities of a larger bath.

+ 3 moreRobert is a master craftsman who takes his work seriously. He is friendly, patient and a good listener. He is cheerfully willing g to work out any issues involved in planning and completing a project. He knows tricks of the trade, and can make almost anything work. He is aware of the newest products and has an eye for upscale design. He is a perfectionist, and every finished project is beautifully detailed. He is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right. He is respectful of the home he's working on and is careful to protect the owner's possessions. He works neatly, using drop cloths to keep floors clean and plastic sheeting to contain sawdust and other work debris. At the end of each work day, he vacuums, stacks materials and leaves the area as clean as possible. I am very happy that I have had Robert on my remodeling jobs, and feel confident about recommending him to anyone who wants to hire a top-notch craftsman.
Description of Work: Robert has worked on a wide variety of home remodeling projects for me, over the past eight years. He has completed a total kitchen redo, as well as a powder room rennovation. Additionally, he has installed a houseful of new windows, as well as a skylight. The kitchen remodel was the most ambitious, involving the removal and replacement of all the existing cabinets and the old appliances, and the knocking out, redesign, and rebuilding of kitchen walls adjacent to a dining room and the main hallway. Robert worked with my designer on all aspects of the proposed plan, and significantly contributed to all decisions regarding layout, structural issues and materials. He and his workers demolished the old kitchen, did some of the appliance installations, and assisted the cabinet maker, electrician, and granite fabricator in accomplishing their tasks. At times, he was able to improve and upgrade their advice, and in a couple of instances, he fixed some of the smaller problems they had created. The kitchen and adjacent areas turned out beautifully, and the whole house seems transformed.

+ 1 moreI have worked with him for the past 8 years. He has done three separate jobs for me. He remodeled 2 bathrooms completely, he did the countertops and floor in our kitchen, and he redid our basement completely. Our basement now has a family room with a bar, one bedroom, one office, a full bathroom, a utility room and a furnace room. Prior to this, only our furnace was in the basement. We were absloutely delighted with his work. His job was superbly completed. Robert's imagination, flexibility, and dedication to give us the best is absolutely incredible. This is why we keep on using him over and over again. We have great respect for his understanding of what we need. We have a lot of mutal trust with him. We will continue to be amazed by his unwillingness to turn his back on a problem regardless of how small. He has a great ablility to find solutions. He has respect for our budget. Anyone who uses him will be very happy that they did.
Description of Work: They put granite and marble countertops in my kitchen. They redid my kitchen floor.
