Great work! Very prompt in getting the estimate and doing the work. I wasn't home when they did the work, but are was clean and work was completed when I returned. Great company, would use again!

The services were fine. They were very polite. They came out the next day. They had to tear down a section of the fence because the tree was so close to it. They put the fence back afterwards and left the yard looking better then before they arrived.

After my initial call to the company, the arborist (Martin) came by and carefully evaluated the trees and shrubs in our yard. He made recommendations and estimated the cost for me, and later emailed a formal estimate with a detailed description of the work. The work was scheduled within a week of receiving the formal estimate. The crew of 4 men worked diligently to trim and clean up our (very) overgrown trees and shrubs. They did excellent work, and removed all debris when they were finished. Total time was about 2.5 hours. We are very pleased with the results -- Our yard looks so much better now! Regarding the price: I did not get any other estimates, so I can't compare the price to anything. (I chose Brown based on the Angie's List reviews and didn't want to bother getting estimates from other companies.) Ultimately, I am just happy that the work is complete and was done so well. I will definitely call Brown Tree Service again if we need work done in the future.

Great communication and very quick workers! Their quote was the best of the four companies we contacted, and they were at our house within a couple of days to complete the job. Very professional and I would definitely use them again.

Fantastic! Great price, great service, the tree was down, gone & cleaned up in 15 minutes! Umberto showed up at the time promised - 7:30 in the morning (after an urgent call the night before due to the risk) - gave us an amazingly fair price, asked if we were okay with the team coming back at 9:00 (which we were) and the the tree was down, gone & cleaned up (leaf blower and raking) within 15 minutes. They asked if they could come back at noon to take out the stump (which was fine) - and they came and were gone without me even knowing it. Area looks great. We will use them for ANY tree work we have done, that's for sure! Can not recommend them enough!

All went well. I don't remember whether it took 1 or 2 days. Friendly crew.

They removed quite a few large branches along with many dead or nuisance branches. The whole canopy of the tree was raised up 15' to 20'. The tree looks healthy and beautiful. The team of three men were very efficient and it was quite a show to watch them swinging around on their cables up in the tree. They were careful about large branches falling and really cleaned everything up nicely. THANK YOU!

It was very good. They did a fine job and I was very satisfied. They cleaned up in everything and I would use them again if necessary. Their price was fair. I was pleased with everything. It's doing fine so I have no complaints. They were here on time.

I called for an estimate and Marty came out the same day, and gave a great price right then - no waiting. He said they would be able to do the work in about a week, and would call ahead to let us know they were coming, and that's exactly what happened. They did an excellent job trimming the tree just the way we asked, and were very obliging when we wanted to keep the smaller branches for decorating purposes. Cleanup was great. It was so nice to have the job done quickly and professionally with no hassles whatsoever.

I have used Brown's Tree service on several occasions. Very satisfied with their work. The estimate was provided promptly and the service scheduled in a timely fashion. They do an excellent job.

Nicest man came out and gave a detailed estimate. So reasonable and helpful.

They hauled everything away and cleaned everything up. They were professional and got the stump out.

Other providers either didnt call back or show up for estimates. ones that did show were overwhelmed with size of the trees. others needed to be on neighbors property but brown was confident with no hesitation on what needed to be done.

They did a good job. They were efficient and had good customer service. However, I thought that they were kind of expensive.

Two people came and it took about two hours. They picked up everything, took trimmings away, and left the area clean. They arrived on time and we would recommend them to family and friends. They did a fabulous job.

Tree blew over during a severe storm on 6/30. I contacted them at about 8:30 pm and spoke to their answering service. By 7:30 the next morning they were out and gave me an estimate.All work was completed in less than 48 hours from the time I called. Very happy with their service. We have used them in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Ken Brown came out to survey our yard to remove several trees, and discuss planting some new trees. Said he would send us an estimate. Seemed interested, but then never sent an estimate and did not return calls. We were super pleased with our next choice- FJR tree Inc. They followed up on everything!

They were outstanding in all respects. Instead or giving us prices on what we asked for, they offered us better solutions that saved a hundred year old tree and over $1,000 in the price of the services requested. Every person I met in the process was very good at what they did, very polite, very courteous, and eager to be of service and explain what they were doing. They sent an Martin LaBahn an certified arborist instead of a salesman to inspect our trees and provide a quote for the recommended services. He was very helpful and politely explained that the company was always happy to do what every we wanted to do but it would be cheaper and environmentally friendlier to treat the biggest tree than to remove it, but the choice was ours. Both trees look like they were dying and they were. One was a Green Ash and he said could not be saved but the Chinese/Siberian Elm only looked dead and could probably be saved. It was over 75 feet tall with a 105 inch diameter. Martin was a good listener and realized we wanted good solutions but we did not have unlimited funds to work with. He detailed the different treatments methods the least expensive was a $100 chemical treatment from Lowe's that I administered myself. The green growth on the tree seemed to have doubled in just the week it took to schedule our work. We got a quote from Martin 2 days after his visit putting in writing what he told us the services would cost - no discrepancies. After we approved the quote we were told the crew to do the work would be scheduled, but the exact time could not be determined but they would come within a week. The company called the day before they came to let us know they would do the work the next day and would show up close to 7:30am. Very professional. The crew showed up at 7:30am. There were 4 tree workers and an heavy equipment guy that operated the big truck and lifting equipment to lift the heavy stump sections that were too big for the chipper into the truck. He also hepled with the physical work of getting the heavy stuff to the curb for removal. The team worked together all working cheerfully interchanging roles doing the job at hand in the most effective manner. There appeared to be no barriers in the working team like you often see with separatist thinking like roles between workers and supervisors. They all just jumped in to help one another to get the job done cheerfully. There were 3 hispanics and 2 white workers and the the 2 white workers and 1 hispanic worker were bilingual so it was always easy to communicate. Dave, Darius, Mike, and Ramone were the main tree crew and Rodolpho was the heavy equipment person. Rodolpho seemed to be the ranking person only as he was the person that accepted responsibility for my check which I had ready and gave willing as the value for services provided was very high. The crew showed up on time and immediately went to work. Two of them donned tree climbing gear with leg spike straps and body harnesses and ropes for climbing the trees. As soon as they were in gear they started climbing and cutting. They worked without break until the job was done. It took until about 10:30am to complete the cutting and trimming. The whole time the 2 in the trees were swinging and cutting while the 2 on the ground were running around like ants or bees supporting the guys in the trees and cleaning up everything that was coming out of the trees and removing it to the curb area where it was chipped or loaded into the truck for removal. They worked like bees or ants. Never a break or a cross word just seamlessly working together to get the job done, moving from one task to the next. It is such a pleasure to watch professionals at work, no wasted motions and all knowing what needed to be done without ranker a seamless exchange of information and perspectives. You could watch the guy in the tree tie off and ready his next cut, but check with the ground spotter for his different perspective before the cut, then they would exchange words and hand signals reflecting their belief and to the expected line of fall. Sometimes the tree worker would then do the cut other times he would remove the rope and tie the limb off in another position before making the cut but they always agreed with one another before the cut was made. Often the agreement was done wordlessly. Teamwork seemed to dominate everything that was going on. There also seemed to be an underlying respect for one another and a willingness to happily work together. I appreciate the positive energy they brought to my home and environment.

had to call them back twice to complete the contract and I think the guys who came back were upset because now the one fur tree looks butchered badly.

Called and got an immediate estimate that evening. Martin was professional, friendly and informative. His free estimate also included the removal of the stump. Next day, received call they would be able to remove tree the following week. I explained that I would like the tree removed this week as tenants were due back next week from vacation. They fit the removal into their schedule and tree was removed two days later. Crew was friendly, courteous, professional and very manicured including the truck and equipment. Service was great, price terrific and jwould defintely use them again.

When Marty came out he checked the whole situation out before saying anything. My tree was getting too big and needed to be pruned back from the house. He suggested cables to be put in various places in the tree. I showed him where my neighbors' trees were overhanging my house. With my neighbors permission he trimmed them back. I told him that I could not afford to pay for the cables. He advised me tp have it done, and he wouldn't expect payment until April of the next year. I thought that was amazing in this day and age. I would hire them again in a heart beat.

He cancelled last minute made with the arborist and never called back to reschedule. Left 6 messages for Ken and the Arborist and not one call was returned. 2 weeks later he called and started being very unprofessional on the phone. He didn't even need the job.
