ABLE TREE SVC

Tom arrived promptly, and listened while we described our concerns. He then used his bucket truck to assess the situation. We thought we might have to take down the whole tree, but his experienced eye said we could save a significant portion. He set to work removing the broken/rotten section, carefully lowering each section he cut to avoid damaging undergrowth. We could tell he really loves trees, and his work. After trimming the damaged tree, he then assessed additonal trees, trimming to raise the canopy a bit, opening up the yard. Much more expansive feel. He then noticed a couple trees that were too close to our roof, so he trimmed them to give adequate clearance. He is very careful, very conscientious, and a hard worker. We were absolutely thrilled with the results! Afterwards, he chipped all the branches that were cut, and even cut a hollow section to size so we could make a fairy house out of it. He then raked up all the debris so we could hardly tell any work had been done. Worth every penny. And he came out on Labor Day!

The owner gave me a price based on fitting the job in when he had time. Several days later he called and said he could do the job later that week. He arrived with a and quot;Cherry Pickerand quot; truck and carefully removed the upper branched that extended over the roof of the house. He then methodically worked around the tree until all the branches were removed, then took the trunk down in several sections always having branches and trunk lowered or fall away from the house and concrete onto the front lawn. He left and returned with a chipper to chop up most of the branches and foliage. He then switched to a claw mounted on his truck and loaded all the tree material that was too large for the chipper. He cleaned everything up for the day and returned the following day to grind out the stump. (Note I had two trees removed in 2001 by another company and they took 3 months to come back and grind out the stumps!) Everything was raked up and left clean when he was finished. I had had two other quotes for the job, one from a city employee who did tree removal on the side with his son, but he had left the bid unsolicited on my door and I knew nothing about him, but his bid was several hundred higher. The other bid was from the tree service I used in 2001, but their bid was double that of Able Tree Svc, The owner is very polite, personable and easy to work with!
