Trusted Seamless Gutters, Inc.

First I would like to preface my review with the fact that this work was done for us during the late spring of 2015. We did not seek any additional bids because Carl was a veteran and my husband and I have great respect for our Veterans. Most of the gutter work his crew did for us was fine. My husband took Carl around to show him the gutters that needed attention. When they got to the pool building gutters which were hung 20 years prior and still working like a charm, my husband pointed out how they had been hung and made sure that Carl understood that the new section of gutter we wanted to add to the other side of the building needed to be hung exactly like the existing gutters. Carl never questioned it or tried to get us to hang it another way. He simply acted as though it wouldn't be a problem and sent us the bid. We accepted the bid and they came to do the job. My husband was leaving to go to work the day the crew came to do the gutter work. He made a point to talk to the crew to remind them that the pool building gutter needed to be hung like all of the rest. They gave us absolutely no reason to think they would be doing otherwise. Suffice to say that when we got home from work that day we were astonished to find that they did not hang the gutter as Carl had agreed to do and his crew allowed us to believe they would. My husband called him immediately to inform him that his crew did not hang the gutter properly to which Carl responded "we couldn't warranty the gutter hung that way". We could have cared less about a warranty on this gutter. In fact, a warranty was never mentioned to us until we had to call him out for having his crew hang the gutter in a fashion that was improper and ineffective for the application. As it was he had to come back out himself and move the gutter over an inch because his crew had hung it against a shudder on the house making it impossible to remove the shudder without removing the gutter. The worst part of this uncomfortable experience was that we weren't given a choice in the matter. He never gave us any indication that he intended to hang this gutter any differently than what had been discussed when he was giving us a bid. It was extremely disrespectful and worse than that it was deceitful. Even more importantly for us the gutter did not catch the water properly coming down the channel on the building. Instead the large amounts of water went right over the top end of the gutter missing it completely to the foundation around the building and our home, which is the whole reason that we wanted to put a gutter on that side of the building. My husband called and left several messages for Carl letting him know that the gutter was not handling the water due to the way it had been hung. He would never return my husbands calls and never came back to fix the gutter. When we have a light shower the water comes down behind the gutter and to the side of the gutter on both ends of the gutter. I would include two short videos but it appears that this site will only allow for pictures. Although these videos were taken during a light rain you would still see that the gutter is not very effective. Unfortunately the video we took when it was pouring rain has since been deleted. If I am able to update this review with videos sometime in the near future I will be sure to take a video when it is pouring so you can see it for yourself. When it is pouring rain the water comes off the building with such velocity that it over shoots the gutter completely rendering it useless. Maybe Carl didn't return our calls because he actually felt guilty for the way he handled our job or maybe he didn't care at all. Apparently this warranty he spoke of didn't include a gutter that didn't catch the water and therefore was ineffective. I will add for fairness sake that we had another gutter company come out some months later to look at the gutter and although they extended the downspout for us so that the small amount of water that actually is caught in the gutter can be directed much further away from our foundation, they were hesitant to rehang it the way it needed to be hung. However, they told us so right up front. There wasn't any deception. With a little further research we found that gutter people only like to hang gutters one way. They don't care to leave their comfort zone or think out of the box even when faced with a completely successful way to hang a gutter on a building of this type. Hanging gutters does not require a brain child, so if you have a special application beyond the norm you would probably be better served to have a handyman of some sort hang your gutters. They're very rapid, and they did a very good job. They did an excellent job. The crew is experienced. They did the job for less than an hour. They're friendly. I did a search online, and they were one of the cheapest. They were quick and responsive. They're clearly experienced, and they didn't leave any mess at all. They did an excellent job.
