They finished the painting in the amount of time promised. However, he totally ignored repeated phone calls and messages about touching up the ceiling where they touched the ceiling with the wall paint. He is all talk. He gave me a written warranty - don't believe it. I would stay away...
Description of Work: I hired Merle to paint our foyer, living room, dining room and kitchen. They primed all the walls and applied 2 coats of paint. The actual painting of the walls looks good, however, don't expect Merle to come back to do any touchups. His staff used a very white paint to do touchups on the ceiling (spots from the wall paint that were touched on the ceiling) that didn't come close to matching the ceiling color. Merle came back to do some touchups of the walls and decided on a color to match the ceiling paint where the overly white color was used. I never heard from him again. I called him about 10-15 times. He would not answer his phone nor return the calls. I had a previous bid of $700 to do the work but decided I wanted it to look professional and was willing to pay the price. We still have spots on our ceiling that doesn't match the original ceiling paint. We have very high ceilings so this is something we can't do ourselves.

February of 2009 signed a contract for a an entire interior job on our home. He gave us a great price. As soon as the job began he began having personal problems that he brought with him onto the job site. My husband and I helped out any way that we could while he was working in our home. Work was partially done. Continued to ask for payments ahead of schedule due to his financial circumstances. And in the end, when his personal poblems seemed to be getting better, he left our entire home unfinished. All this while we emded up breing a PAID IN FULL customer. Still to this day we have no clue why he left in the manner he did.
Description of Work: Entire interior paint project. 3 bedroom 2 bath Family room Dining room Hallway Kitchen Foyer Staircase *all were left uncompleted

I had seen work at another location. Estimate was fair compared to others obtained. Company explained how water stains would be repaired saying repair work would need 24 hours to dry before painting, 2-3 days overall to complete project. Project started on time, but all was finished in one day. No good answer to how repair done so fast. After thorough inspection next day, I found many paint bubbles and missed spots throughout. Many areas of spackle not sanded and many spot repairs not done. Called for return. Partial crew came back to correct problems and blamed each other for mistakes. I had to finish correcting mistakes after second visit. Water stain has bled through after two months.
Description of Work: Interior painting of formal living room, music room, stairway, and hallway. Remove water stains from previous roof leak.
