I contacted Welter on 6/27 and was able to schedule them to come the next day. The plumber arrived exactly on time and put on shoe covers before he came in to the house. I showed him the problem sink and he was able to get the sink cleared in just about 15 minutes (wish I hadn't waited four months to do something about it!). He cleaned up after himself and was on his way in short order. I was very pleased with how quickly I was able to get the appointment and with how quickly the work went.

We have used this company multiple times. It’s been a good experience. They were reliable; they came and did the work, and fixed the problems. They did fine. They were friendly, and they came when they said they would.

One morning I woke up and my daughter mentioned that her toilet was broken. I took the top off and saw that the plastic arm holding the large ball (float?) had broken. Since I have used them before, I called Welter at 10AM. I got an answering machine and left a message. I was concerned that they might not call me back. At 10:10 they called and said that they'd be at my house in the late afternoon. They couldn't lock in a time because they'd have to squeeze me in. As it turned out their team was at my house by 3 in the afternoon. They came in and I showed them the bathroom where the toilet was. Kevin (I think) said that the new fixture he was going to put in doesn't have a float or an arm and is more efficient. Since I have 4 toilets that all have the old ball / float system and will probably break soon I decided to have them replace them all. I figured that I'd save a future service call if I did it now. They were fast and replaced all the fixtures and were done in just over an hour. They had me go with them to see that they had replaced the fixtures and show me that they all were working. They cleaned up and were very courteous.

I've never had our line to the sewer routed. I was concerned that it might back up. I know one of the Welter family and asked him if I should be concerned about a backup. He was honest and said it's something most people don't do until it's too late. So, I had them come out to do the job. They called before coming and showed up on time. There was a 2 man crew. They came in and went directly to the basement. They wasted no time and got to work. They were done in under an hour. They were fast, courteous, and cleaned up. They explained what they had done and said my lines were good. They recommended that this be done every couple of years.

Great! We've used them before, and once again they were on time, quick, and reliable. We will continue to call on them as our plumbers.

It went very well! They're an honest company with reasonable rates. I would highly recommend them.

They arrived an hour after being called, on a Saturday, to remove the old leaking toilet which was discovered during other maintenance. They returned early Monday morning to complete the remainder of the job as noted above. Welter has been our plumber for almost 20 years. Brian and Roger did an exceptional job, including leaving the house clean and neat. Welter Plumbing has never disappointed us in all these years and have saved our little house on more than one occasion.

They are wonderful. They are great guys and have done a bunch of work for us in the past. They have always done a good job and we have recommended them to others. Their prices are reasonable.

This company is phenomenal. Their estimate is always on target, and their work is always correct and neat. They always do what they are told to do and nothing more. They are not pushy and they respect your limits. I will continue to use them in the future.

They were fine and did a great job. I would definitely give them high grades on everything that they did for me, and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Two men came out to make these repairs. They were on time and very professional and courteous. For the backyard pipe they had to drill a new opening through the brick of my house and install a new spigot. They also removed the existing pipe from the turn-off valve inside my home which leads to the front spigot, installed a new one and installed a new spigot attachment there as well. They also were able to replace some parts in an old faucet in my laundry area which was dripping. The hose attachment in my kitchen sink had begun to leak and they fixed that as well. All this was accomplished in about 2-1/2 hours. I'm very pleased with the results and their workmanship and professionalism.

I had heard of them, so I checked them out on Angie's List and decided to use them. They were on time, they did what they said they would do, and they cleaned up.

I felt they were very professional, their work was great, but I felt they were very expensive for what was done.

On the first visit they made the problem worse but then they did come back and took care of the situation. They also did a few other things while they were here and they did those fine. I was satisfied with their work and how they handled the toilet that wasn't fixed on the first visit. I did not comparison shop for the pricing but I did think it was reasonable for the work they did.

I have been using them for 4-5 years. They give great advice and I would highly recommend them.

Because of a leaking water filter hose, I called Welter on Wednesday to request service for the 3 problems. His Thursday schedule was full, so he scheduled me for 7:30 a.m. Friday. Brian and his assistant showed up on time and finished by 8:45 a.m. He was efficient, tidy and agreeably forthcoming with information about the problems and his proposed remedies. I especially appreciated his "Give me a minute, I can figure this out" attitude when the filter hoses turned out to be of a size and configuration no longer carried by him (and, I quickly confirmed, either by the filter's manufacturer or by two local hardware stores). After advising against replacing the braided steel hoses with less sturdy nylon or PVC, he created the required female-to-female steel compression hose by connecting two shorter male-to-female hoses to one another with a brass nipple. The result made for a much better use of space beneath the counter and less twisting of the hose.

We called this company because our home's previous owner had used them to install the water heater many years ago (a sticker was on the heater). The water heater began leaking Friday night, so we left a message on Welter's office machine. He called back Saturday morning pretty quickly with a clear and understandable quote, which turned out better than other companies we had also called. He was available that day and he completed the work by Saturday afternoon. This was a big relief because we had other household concerns simultaneously. My only concern worth mentioning was their minimal awareness of energy efficiency and, while the heater he installed is pretty efficient, we didn't feel we were presented with options in this regard. On a good note, however, the heater he installed appears to be high quality in all other aspects.

I was impressed. The faucet had actually been repaired a few weeks earlier by a different plumber, who'd somehow made it worse. Yet another plumber had come in and said it would be impossible to fix without blasting the pipes with nitrogen; the same plumber said it would be too much trouble to clear the drain, because it was a pedestal sink. Brian walked in and made everything look easy. He knew what the first plumber had done wrong, corrected it, and made improvements; and he cleared the sink with no fuss. He was done in under an hour. Totally smart, totally professional.

I covered it all in the previous section. However, overall, as the people who recommended Welter Plumbing to me on Angie's List said, they were very pleasant people and very professional and did a great job. I feel that I have a plumbing company that I can call on with confidence with any problem large or small.

Contacted Jerry Welter about stopped-up toilet and running water in 2 toilets. We set up an appointment between 9 and 12 the following day. Two plumbers arrived at 9:30 am and immediately went to work. I also asked if they could take a look at the kitchen sink that was backing up. No problem and they would check it while there. They augured the toilet and found the stoppage, replaced the tank parts and proceeded to rod the kitchen sink. I was especially impressed with the things I didn't have to ask them to do. They just did them. They removed supplies under the sink and were very careful to cover the cabinetry and floors before doing any work. Brian also checked the basement to be sure there was no stoppage as a result of the rodding above. He was informative and responsive to my questions regarding the work process. I was pleased with the fast service (next day) and a job well done. The pricing seems a little high but I was given an accurate estimate prior to the appointment.

All of this was done by carrying the whirlpool, concrete debris, concrete fill, mortar and tools up and down two sets of stairs. They placed protective canvas cloths down and cleaned up their mess completely. Not one smudge on any of the walls, no door nicks, etc. All of this was done in less than 7 hours, including a lunch break. I recommend Welter Plumbing to anyone.

Within a half an hour two men showed up at the door. Within the hour the drain was opened. I was impressed with their professional manner. When they came inside they took off their shoes (which wasn't necessary, but appreciated!), then they looked at the problem told me how they would fix it, fixed it, cleaned up any mess they made and then checked all the surrounding plumbing fixtures to make sure everything was working well. As I said before, I was impressed with the overall experience from the initial phone to the end result. I would use Welter Plumbing again when I need them. I have had other plumbers in the past addressing this drain back-up, and they seem to stall and think about what they need to do, run into a problem while fixing the drain, think about what they need to do about the drain, etc. With the guys at Welter, there was no nonsense, bam, it was fixed fast.

WHEN I CALLED, THE OWNER ANSWERED AND SAID HE WAS GOING TO BE IN MY AREA THE NEXT DAY. WE SET UP AN APPT WITH A RANGE OF 3 HOURS. HE AND AN ASSISTANT CAME WITHIN THE TIMEFRAME STATED. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND EASY TO TALK TO AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THE OWNER GAVE ME SOME ADVICE NOT TO USE THE TABLETS IN MY TANK TO CLEAN THE BOWL. THIS IS PROBABLY WHAT RUINED THE PARTS INSIDE THE TANK WHICH CAUSED IT TO FILL UP SO SLOWLY. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM.

Our water heater was leaking water into our basement. This happened over a holiday, and Welter was the only company willing to come out on a Saturday to replace it without charging extra. The work seems fine, and the price was reasonable.

THEY CLEAN IT TWICE A YEAR AND ARE NICE PEOPLE. THEY HAVE ALSO DONE OTHER MORE GENERAL PLUMBING WORK FOR ME AND I ALWAYS FIND THAT THEY PROVIDE QUALITY SERVICE, ARE QUICK AND AFFORDABLE TOO.
