Description of Work: Once the date of the move was set, there was little to do except wait for the crew to show up. About 20 minutes after the scheduled time, we received a phone call and learned that they were 5 minutes away. They parked in the alley behind the house which gave better access for their truck than if they were on the street. All items that we had wanted moved were loaded onto the truck after being wrapped with plastic wrap to keep them in relative order. The crew was big enough that items like dressers and desks could be carried full, which saved a lot of packing and unpacking time for us. Items were moved from a second floor with no charge for stair carrying. The work was handled efficiently. The truck was a little old and did not have a powered lift gate which meant that heavy items could not be loaded by one person. Maybe the load went slower than it should have, but the crew was experienced enough that they overcame this hurdle with good teamwork. It was agreed that they would follow our minivan from the Northwest side of Chicago to our home in DeKalb, since they did not know all the shortcuts. On the road, they stayed close behind us but were limited to about 50 mph in order to assure that nothing in the truck would tip over or be otherwise damaged. They parked in the driveway and unloaded items, moving things at our direction to 1st, 2nd, and basement floors as well as to the garage and front porch.They re-assembled all items that they had disassembled during loading. No screws or critical parts were lost to this. Heavy items were moved, as much as possible, to locations that were specified.

Description of Work: They were to pack up our household in Chicago and move us across the country, then unpack us, in Northern California.
