Hynek Construction

This review is long overdue and I have been meaning to write this much earlier. Hynek completely rebuilt our chimney on our 30 year old Arlington Heights (Courts of Russetwood) home in the Spring of 2017. The task was to closely match the existing bricks, avoid damaging a new concrete patio and provide quality work. He did excellent work on the entire project. I would definite use Hynek for any future jobs and highly recommend him to others. Thank you, Hynek. Thank you very much!

It went well. Took about 6 hours to complete. Looks good. Exactly what I asked for.

They did an excellent job. Hynek came to my home, I showed him what I would like done and he provided a detailed estimate. They were on time and pleasant to work with from the beginning to the end. They were here all day because of the extent of the work. They matched the mortar color very well. They were professional and completed everything on time. Thanks Hynek.

It went very well. I was afraid that the bricks would not match, but they did a fantastic job. You can't tell the difference! Very pleased with their work.

All work was done to satisfaction. Communication could have been better. We got one days notification before the work started, so we had to scramble a bit to get ready. One worker was rude to my wife. Other than that we would use Hynek again.

The work crew was professional and finished the job in one day. They cleaned up the work area. Very satisfied with the work that was performed.

Hynek Construction met me at my home, examined the work to be done and provided an estimate. Hynek showed up to do the work at the expected time and completed the work on schedule. In fact, i was not home at the time of the work, nor did I need to be at home. The work was performed accurately and cleanly. I definitely recommend Hynek Construction.

Wonderful. Timely from initial scoping and estimate / proposal thru completing work. Hynek, his foreman (Adam) and crew had outstanding communication / did great job managing my expectations. Crew(s) were courteous, responsive, easy to work with, helpful. Setup and cleanup was outstanding. When an issue arose (they always do), Hynek / Adam clearly described solution options, costs, impacts. Excellent workmanship quality . . . brick and mortar color matches original brick / mortar. Hynek was very prompt to come over and evaluate the work needed. Turns out it didn't fall under his area of work, but he was very helpful and sent me pics of similar houses to get an idea of how I can go about the restoration.

Hynek provided excellent and timely service for us in repairing our 100 year-old chimney at a much more reasonable price than other providers. The location on our steep roof was challenging, but he was extremely careful of protecting our roof as well as the garden areas below where the work was performed. I would certainly recommend him and use him again for other masonry work.

Giant Flower Box - Upon interviewing 5 contractors, Hynek was chosen because he was the only one with a long term solution to the problem. He turned my flower box into a retaining wall using the existing stone and brick. This solution would eliminate water, snow or ice from penetrating into the 'box' which would cause cracks in the long run. His team was very diligent and professional. Their skills were top notch and we were totally impressed with the outcome. It was absolutely a transformation! Garage Concrete Floor - James managed this project for Hynek. James was very professional with super prompt response. He has a great team and the workers were diligent. The garage concrete floor was a complete dig out and re-poured concrete. The new floor was absolutely beautiful with very good workmanship! Hynek and James - Thank you very much for your team's great work!! I highly recommend both of them.

Hynek responded timely to my initial inquiry and a representative stopped by the house within a day or so. We were able to schedule the work shortly thereafter. The job took about 2 days. The men were professional, did a great job, and kept the yard clean. I've already recommended them to my neighbor.

Hynek responded quickly when I called him for an estimate. He is always on time, super professional, and very patient when it comes to addressing our questions and concerns. His crew is expertly efficient! Like magic, when their work was finished, they cleaned up the area so well it was nearly impossible to tell they were ever there--except for the fact that our windows no longer leak. :-) It's always a pleasure working with Hynek!

We received a very detailed estimate showing the work to be done. From the estimate we could tell that they were going to do the work properly. They came out quickly to do the work we needed. The work was neatly and efficiently done. Brick and mortar matched beautifully. The completed work looked like the chimneys were brand new. We could not have been more pleased. And my husband was a bricklayer and contractor and appreciated the quality of their work.

Went well. They told me originally they would be able to start work in about 2 weeks but they had an opening and we were able to get it fixed in a few days. They arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves.

Although Hynek qouted a fair price for the chimney I decided to go with a Chimney specialist at a higher price because they are going to do more work related to the chimney then proposed by Hynek. The contractor also offer annual inspections & cleanings for the chimney.

They were on time to start the work. Finished in one day with exception of the wait to remove the forms around the cap since it was custom made. I like the way the chimney looks. I gave the price a C because it was my highest quote. I picked him because he did what he said he would do right from the start.
