Description of Work: We're relatively new homeowners and called Hynek Construction to inspect our chimney for issues, since we suspect there are some given the age of the house and the smells we are encountering. The gentleman who answered the phone said that they don't perform inspections for possible chimney issues and only make visits when there is a known issue.

Description of Work: I wrote a previous review in error and I want to correct it. I wrote that I did not receive a quote. Mr. Hynek stopped by my house tonight to apologize for the misunderstanding. He said that he left a voice mail message saying his quote would be the same of another vendor I was considering. Apparently they work together. I never got that message and he did not send me a written proposal. But, he wanted to clear up the misunderstanding. I have never in my life had a contractor come to my house and apologize for a misunderstanding. What a nice person. And, I probably made the mistake. So please disregard my previous review and use this one if you like. I have already selected another vendor from your list. If I hadn't I would definelty use Mr. Hynek. He is a man of character. If I need something in the future I will call upon him.

Description of Work: Hynek Construction did fantastic work. They rebuilt the top ten rows of two chimney tops, poured two new chimney caps and installed metal chimney roofs on three ducts. Mr Sedlacek was polite, professional and responsive. He showed up on time to bid the job, promptly returned a bid gave an accurate estimation of when the job would be performed. The design choices were explained and the work was performed in accordance with our conversations. Mr Sedlacek and his colleague did a great job and then cleaned up leaving no trace. I am very happy with my new chimney tops and will use Hynek Construction in the future.

Description of Work: My chimney needed to be tuckpointed, especially near the top, as the mortar and a few bricks were damaged by straps for a television antenna . Hynek came out shortly after I called and provided an estimate which included a few options to consider. He provided insights into the pros and cons of each option. After comparing estimates from other companies, I decided to use Hynek. The work was completed as promised-in fact, additional bricks were replaced during the repair job but the quoted price was honored. Based on the professionalism of Hynek and his coworker, I would highly recommend this company for any work regarding chimney repairs. All of my interactions were positive with all members of Hynek's team.

Description of Work: A large section of brick wall was failing & needed king sized large bricks with assorted coloring to match existing. Upon tear down it was discovered carpentry work was also needed. In all cases Hynek got matching bricks, & carpenter to complete work with attention to detail & reasonable pricing.

Description of Work: Replaced chimney and cap. Was on time and cleaned up everything. Would reccomend to anyone for reliable and quality service. Cheapest service from all estimates.

Description of Work: Hynek removed the top cap and eight rows of bricks which had become old and brittle. He and his staff lay eight rows of brick and formed a new cap of concrete. I would highly recommend Hynek. He and his staff are very professional, very responsive to customer's needs, and they do excellent work. His attention to detail is phenomenal; he did the repair work exactly as I would have done for myself if I had the skill. Also, he did the work for the quoted amount and did not try to increase it as the project went on.

Description of Work: Was getting quotes from variuos Angie List's member. His price was very competitive and he was very professional and prompt. We went with another company that could also add a liner to the chimney. If we just had needed the masonery repair we would have used them.
