I called and spoke to Peter before I purchased the deal because I wanted to be sure they would be able to not only ensure everything was hooked up correctly but that he was comfortable training us in the use of everything. He assured me we could get the help we needed, so I bought the deal. Peter and his assistant were on time for our appointment (actually, they were 15 min. early) and set to work immediately. As I suspected, things were not hooked up right (at least I know our problems were not 100% due to our incompetence). They worked very hard to determine how to undo the mess our cable company had created and they hooked up everything correctly. Then they showed my husband and I how to use everything and were very patient as I took notes for future reference. I paid for an extra 1/2 hour of work (that's how messed up everything was), and we are now able to use all of our technology. I couldn't be happier with the experience, and I can highly recommend them.

They got here late because of previous job, but called beforehand to let me know. Once here, they performed their work quickly and professionally.

I had the hotwires to hang two TVs onto the wall. They did an excellent job. The hanging kit for the new 60 inch TV was taken from an old TV that I had. So the screws came with the kit does not fit the new TV. Luckily, Hotwires has many different screws, it took them no time to find the right one for my TV. I also just purchased a home theater system. Hotwires set up the system for me, and points out that the seller did not sent me several speaker wires. I am very happy that I used Hotwire instead of doing it my self. Save me tons of trouble, and possible several trips to HomeDept! If wasn't Hotwire, I would never figure out what went wrong with the Home Theater system.

Peter did an excellent job and he referred me to Safeguard Security and Duke came out to our home and re-set the alarm so his company is now doing our monitoring. They came in at $200.00 less than we were paying before. We are very pleased with Hot Wire and Safeguard Security

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was fine. They were agreeable, pleasant, on time and efficient. They did a good job. There was absolutely nothing wrong with them.

It went great. Arrived just as promised at 8AM. Checked out what i wanted done and what other devices were involved. Checked out the type of wall mount I had and type of wall it was to go on (plaster not dry wall). Got his tools and started to work: * removed all devices to a safe place * removed the TV from the TV stand and gave me the old screws to store away with the old TV stand * had me sit at the coach while he lifted the TV to check on its preferred location * had me mark the spot on the wall * connected the brackets to the back of the TV * used a wall stud finder (not sure if that's what that device is called) This took several minutes. * put up the wall mount and used a level device to make sure it was level * cleaned up after drilling in the wall mount ( moved the credenza to clean behind and around it) Used my Hepa vacuum * attached the TV to the wall mount and checked to see if level with level device * attached a longer cord/cable to the air antenna so if needed I could move the antenna to either side of the TV * reconnected devices to the TV (sound bar, disc player, and antenna) * had me check out each device to see if everything was working well. It was and is. After everything was put into place you don't even see the cords. My sound bar is sitting on the credenza and the cords of TV and other devices are hidden behind it. Just as I wanted. I have wi-fi and it works well too. I will surely recommend and use Hot Wire again.

From the scheduling of the appointment with Veronica to Peter's on-time arrival, they are a very professional company. Peter's work looks amazing and he is very efficient with his time. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to elecrtical and I will be referring Hot Wire to all my friends.

I found the offer on Angie's List for two hours of professional audio and video labor. My VCR/DVD recorders were hooked up, but I could only play DVD's. Well, five minutesafter paying for the service I received a phone call asking if I had time for the technician to come over. Within 20 minutes Hot Wire had arrived, listened to what I needed, and set to work. The family room player was set up in no time, and the tech made sure I knew how to work the device. Next we went to the second player. Upon inspection he noticed that my Comcast equipment was old and I was eligible for an upgrade. He called Comcast, got the address of the office, and drove me to Lisle to exchange the equipment. In my opinion, this was above and beyond the call of duty!! When we got home he hooked everything up and again made sure I knew how to use the player. Since I am not mechanically minded, I appreciated his patience in explaining and explaining again how to work the equipment. Anyone needing this service would be crazy not to call HOT WIRE. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!!

Peter was great. He was very flexible, prompt, and professional. He offered great suggestions for how to enhance and streamline what we desired. He was efficient and effective, thus, completing the install a head of the scheduled time allotted. Unfortunately a day after the job was complete, there was a technical failure with the TV, requiring us to take down and return. Peter agreed to return and install the replacement when it was convenient for our schedule. We were very pleased with Peter/Hotwire Co. and would absolutely use them for our next audio install project (man cave).

I received a call to schedule service the day after purchasing. They were able to schedule my preferred time, which was later that week. On the day of the job, Peter showed up right on time. We walked through the work (setup 2 speaker systems and mount the TV, plus move the Wii & XBox down into the rec room) and he let me know ahead of time that it would be probably 4 hours of work total. I already expected it would take longer than the 2 hours included with the $99 deal I bought, so I was ok with that. 6.5 hours later the job was finished. It went 2 hours longer than estimated and I didn't think it should have taken so long, but he was busy the whole time! Overall, Peter did a great job with the mounting and hiding all speaker wire. He didn't charge us for the extra half hour nor any of the supplies he used (wall plates or speaker wire). My husband was VERY happy with the sound in both rooms and I was happy with the appearance - all wires hidden. Overall a great job. We paid $75/hour for 4 hours plus the original $99 deal I bought. It was worth the money. The only suggestion I have is when scheduling the job Hotwire should tell customers what equipment/supplies required. I didn't realize I had to buy the wall mount for the TV ahead of time, and didn't know how much speaker wire I should have on hand. Peter had enough speaker wire for the job, and luckily I called the morning of to ask about the mount, so I was able to run out and buy one before they showed up. It would be good to know ahead of time what we'll need to have on hand.

Peter was very professional. Arrived on time. Finished the job quickly. Also ran a cable through the wall at no additional charge! Would highly recommend.

Really nice guy and great service. He came by once to take a look at the project, then scheduled a date to do the work. He arrived on time and worked quickly (which was nice because I was being charged on the hour). I'm very pleased with the service.
