Description of Work: GND did flooring for our entire first floor. Two rooms and a hallway were a refinish the rest was a new installation. They did a beautiful job, very accommodating, very punctual. However, we just learned that they DID NOT PAY THE company in full for their materials and and now we have a mechanics lien against our house! DO NOT USE THEM EVER!!

+ -1 moreGreat. Kevin was very quick to return phone calls (don't email him, the phone is quicker). He was always upfront and honest and professional. Kevin allowed me to rip out the carpet myself and that saved me quite a bit of money. The only thing I was disappointed with was that I ripped out the carpeting in one of my bedrooms and underneath it was old vinyl tile that was stuck to the wood and Kevin didn't think it was salvageable (or at least worth it.) I would have saved the carpet had I known that he would possibly not be able to do that room. We are happy to re-carpet it though and it will still be pretty reasonable. The floors that they did do look great. When they were finished I had already paid Kevin in full when I realized that there was one thresh-hold missing. He drove back out that night to fix it. I would recommend them definitely, especially for a standard oak-based refinish job or a new install job.
Description of Work: Sand and refinish old hardwood floors, oak floors in the dining room, living room and on the stair treads and pine floors in the upstairs hallway. Kevin and his brother pulled any remaining staples left in the floor, they cut new thresh-holds and filled in any cracks. Kevin also took a few damaged floor boards (a one foot by one foot area) and blended in new ones to fit with the old. They sanded the floors and applied a coat of darker wood stain and then three coats of water-based finish. They buffed in between the last two finish treatments.
