+ -1 moreIt was a bad one. There was one thing after another. When my mother moved up here, it was supposed to be a six week turn around time for her to get her place, get it rehabbed and then move in. It turned into six and a half months. He basically went there when he had time and when he didn't have time he did not make it over. Something came up or this or that and then he blamed the other trade guy that I had working there. They told me he pushed them off and not the other way around. He basically did a gut job. It's got a central system in there for the heating and air conditioner. He never blocked of the vents and it filled up with saw dust which basically started a fire in the attic which put itself out. That could have burnt down the entire place. So then we got a whole new unit. We've come across other things now. He did some work in the shower. The plumber did some welding after some pipes were in and melted the faucet fixture so the $300 faucet had to be replaced and was never even used. The plates would not even cover up the holes in the drywall and we had to have another guy to come out and fix that. It was one thing after another. I could actually go on and on about all the issues I had with this guy. It was over priced. We've been giving him calls back. The last time he returned our calls when he was looking for a pay out. The worst part is that I've known the guy for years. He actually did work in our home, which was great. It's horrible.

Description of Work: I can not even begin to list all the projects Tony took on in my home.The house was built in 1937 and I had a husband that would only do minimal repairs. So after a divorce I wanted to stay in this house and at least make it liveable. Lets just say we all know about Harvest Gold and Pea Green and that was the last time anything had been changed. With a limited budget and a 5 page list Tony sat down with me and discussed what would really make me happy to live here within my budget. I had been burned very badly by 2 other handymen but Tony not only fixed their mistakes but he made my house which used to be "that house on the block that would look so nice if someone did some work on it" to my neighbors saying they can't compete with me anymore! Tony not only puts up with me but my 11 month old unruly Golden Retriever that listens to him more than he does me! He is completely insistent that job gets done right and beautifully finished. He cleans up after himself better that I do in my own home. I highly recommend anyone that has hesitated to hire a handyman this is the one you want to hire. If it is something he can not do - he is honest enough to tell you that . I highly recommend him. He has done everything to taking down a tree from storm damage to installing new light fixtures and found some problems that should have burned the house down years ago. He painted my entire house and garage and my neighbors now walk down the street telling me how nice the house looks
