D & D INSTALLATIONS

My initial feelings were that I was satisfied and then the problems started. They came out right away and fixed the first two issues, but when a third surfaced, they were MIA. Several phone messages over the course of a month produced no return call. I became very disappointed in them. They did not put a proper pitch on a ridge vent that ran the length of one of my rooms. Because of that the heavy rain would run down the vent like a channel, flow under the shingles, and into my home. This room has a wood ceiling that I will now have to sand and refinish in areas.

It must have been fine, looks very nice. The house was sold in 11/05 and then re-sold to us in 5/07, only 2 years after the work. The flashing is bad, and water is leaking into the home. We addressed this with the owners before sale, and they told us that D&D came out to inspect and said the problem was the masonry. We tuckpointed the chimney, but the mason said the flashing needed to be repaired. D&D refused to come out or accept any responsibility for this, and said we were not the ones who paid for the work, so they would not honor the warranty. The did offer to come give an estimate, however, as if I would want to use them!

They did it in one day. They cleaned up well and took everything with them when they left. Did not find one nail. The owner Dan was out in the morning to make sure everybody knew what they were doing. He came back later to check up.

Our home flooded and the roof eventually collapsed. We learned that the company we trusted to fix our roof had illegally placed shingles on our roof, when they were supposed to apply a different type of roofing. This was against all roofing regulations. They used incorrect materials and installed these materials improperly. When we called to complain, they claimed that this could not have been the same roof and did not understand why the roof was leaking. The owner came out and inspected the work. He promised to tent our roof, which they never did, so eventually, our roof collapsed. Unfortunately, we had to sue them.

They were prompt and did a good clean up job. They offered different colors and products. They did a good job.
