Description of Work: Repaired an existing wooden deck and porch and stairs and built a new porch railing around the porch and down the stairs.

Description of Work: Patched plaster on walls and ceilings; skimmed ceilings; painted walls, ceilings and woodwork (including crown molding) in living room, dining room, entry, stairwell and second-floor hall; installed and painted quarter-round trim in entry hall; primed and painted sold wood entry door.

Description of Work: Initially, Gabe came and gave us an estimate on adding a tile floor to our downstairs bathroom. He did such a great job that we then asked for estimates on our upstairs bathrooms, both of which were torn up from the previous owners of our house. He gave us an estimate that was very reasonable and we gave him the go-ahead. The next day he moved in his equipment and began working. As he tore out the old work, he discovered many problems that he fixed as he went along! When he was finished, the bathrooms were gorgeous! My wife and I then chose paint colors and asked him to remodel the entire upstairs (three bedrooms) in addition to the bathrooms that he 'd already done. He continued working, fixing, sanding, repairing the old drywall, boxing in a part of the old fireplace, and just generally making everything beautiful! I was called out-of-state for six months and gave him the key to the house: he finished the upstairs and it looked wonderful! We then asked him to fix a leak in the lower floor living room which required that he tear away the drywall, splice in new hardwood flooring to the existing flooring where it was damaged by the water. In the course of this, he identified that it was the upstairs window that was leaking and fixed/replaced that in the process. We then asked him to replace the treads/banisters on the main staircase, fix the fireplace surrounds and remodel the kitchen, converting a closet into a pantry. He did all of this over the course of several months and took great care and attention to detail, making sure that we got photos of his progress as he went along. When he was done, the paint was gorgeous, the drywall was sanded and perfect (like new construction), and the woodwork was exquisitely done and mitered to perfection. My wife and I were at a loss for words--it was beautiful.
