Response from Darin's Appliance Service
First off, I serviced the gas range in September of 2000, and again in December of 2001. The service was to address the oven temperature. I diagnosed the issue as a faulty oven thermostat. I obtained and installed a new oven thermostat, checked operation of oven, ok. I then heard from the customer on November 26, 2001. At this time I was informed that the oven was overheating. I inspected the oven and found that the oven thermostat was at fault. I then put another new oven thermostat in the oven and tested it. It held the temperature properly. Then, even though the original replaced oven thermostat only had a one year warranty, I decided to cover the part under part warranty. This means the customer was not charged for the second oven thermostat. However, I did charge for normal in home service fees just as I did on the first service call in December of 2000. I never heard anything more about the servicing of the product or it's operation until I read this Angie's list review here in 2013. I have the service history to confirm the work was done as I say it was. The customers review is inaccurate.
