I can't begin to tell you how very professional and accommodating the folks at Integrity are! when becoming a home owner, replacing your entire heating and cooling system seems like a nightmare. I was so very pleased to have such a warm and kind voice from Mona at the office schedule the estimate. Jason was so prompt, and professional. He never tried to sell me too hard, and just gave me the plain facts, as well as a complete quote with many options to choose from. I called him back 3x with questions, and he answered everyone of them spot on. Then Tony came to install my new system. He was fast, efficient, clean and very personable. He explained everything to me, and then again when my husband came home. The whole process was seamless, and I really feel like I got a quality system for a good deal.

They literally blew me off and were very unresponsive to any calls after the last conversation. Very unprofessional and I went through way too much to not even have services performed. I would not recommend them to anyone else and absolutely will not hire them.
Description of Work: They were supposed to come take a look at some pipes that were exposed and needed to be reinstalled. Work was not performed; I spoke to them and we made arrangements to have someone come out and take a look That day I called them and they told me they weren't going to make it and had emergencies with other AC's. I informed them I had an apt and they still claimed they could not come.

Initial consultation with sales representative was fast and pretty cut and dry. I had no follow up call. Once I decided to go with their service, I called sales rep to schedule an installation appointment. Their hours of installation were within reason (although they do not offer weekend installations). Unfortunately we have found that the work done by Integrity heating & cooling can be described MORE as cheap, deceptive, and incomplete and LESS as anything really relating to its name. We have since found that with the installation of our furnace the installer had taken a lot of shortcuts and really did a lazy job. How do we know this? Imagine turning on your furnace on a cold Chicago night and the smell of sewer fills your home. After a course of time relying only on our fireplace for heat, and bringing out multiple plumbers to inspect every aspect of the sewage system, the cause was not found. We decided to contact Integrity to come out and assess the installation. In talking to others, they suggested the furnace must be installed over a drain that may have dried out. Integrity sent out a technician and said he would not do any work until the furnace was cleaned. But did not give a reason why. We stressed the call was to find if there was a drain under the furnace and to look for a drain, but he refused to do what we requested until he cleaned the unit. After the call he verified there was no drain under the furnace. We were stumped! And still using the fireplace for heat, or using the furnace until we couldn't stand the smell of sewer any longer. Fast Forward to a year later we decide to have another plumber come out with a camera to look under the furnace for a drain. What did he find? A DRAIN! Upon opening the furnace unit we found SO MANY ISSUES. Instead of building up a wooden floor (as the previous furnace had), the installer had removed the bottom of the furnace to account for the drain and taped up the drain with electrical tape that had melted and wrinkled from the heat. Where did this drain lead? To the sewer pit! Therefore every time we turned on the furnace the blower was p ulling the fumes from this drain up into our air ducts and filling the home with this odor. To make matters worse, they slid an unused AIR FILTER into the bottom of the furnace to cover the drain in place of a metal flooring as we had before. We contacted Integrity H&C to let them know of our discovery and asked that they stand behind their name and make a good faith effort in making things right in this installation. They explained they would need to charge us to come back out to fix the problems and stopped returning our phone calls and emails even after photo proof was provided. Upon further inspection of our furnace installation we also discovered the following: The humidifier drain line was cut and removed. The condensate drain was cut and did not have a trap installed. Instead, paper towels were shoved down the pipes to block anything from coming out. In summary, it is unfortunate Integrity H&C did not stand up to their name in our situation and wanted to warn any future consumers from using this company in the future. After many service calls and $$$ spent on multiple visits to find the problem we are extremely disappointed in the work that was done by this company and even more upset that they are not willing to correct a very incomplete and lousy installation.

Integrity came out to give me an estimate very quickly. I really like the sales guy (sorry, I can't remember his name). He explained all the different options in a much more clear manner than the previous two estimators I had come out. And when he gave me the estimate I accepted immediately because it was about $2500 less then the lower of the other two estimates I got. He was at my house on a Saturday and we set up the install for the following Tuesday.The installers did a really great job. They had to bring the compressor unit up to the roof of my townhouse (three flights up) and not a bang or a scratch. The other two companies said I'd need a crane. It took about 7 hours and they worked the entire time with barely a break. They left absolutely no mess and everything looks great. My only complaint in this process was that they said they would be at my house at 7 AM, but didn't show up until almost 9, and I had to call a couple times to check on what the story was. So my day started off a little frustrating, but otherwise a great job.

My wife saw an ad Integrity ran in the Angie's List magazine for free 5 year financing and all sorts of freebies thrown in with a new HVAC. I called them up that week and was able to schedule an appointment on the upcoming Saturday for an estimate. The estimator (Jason, I think) came and took a look at our existing system (17 years old) and then sat down with me and explained to me all my options. Along the way he explained all the technology in detail, drawing sketches to assist, in a way that was very easy for me to follow and understand. He made a suggestion based upon my feedback and did an estimate for the options I was most interested in. I already got two bids from other contractors, both of which came in at similar prices to each other. When Jason showed me the price it was a good $3000 less than the other two bids I received. I stopped him before he was going to show me other options and told him I was sold. He then scheduled the install for the next Tuesday (3 days later). Here's my only complaint. The installers were supposed to come at 7:30 AM By 7:50 they had not come, so I called. After checking I was told they got stuck in traffic and we be at my house in about 10 minutes. They didn't get to my house until 8:30. An hour in the scheme of an 8 hour install isn't that big a deal, but I had other things to do that morning that I didn't do because of the time they were supposed to come. Aside from that, the two installers did a fantastic job. Everything looks very well put together. There was absolutely no mess. They offered to vacuum, but I told them to skip it because there was really nothing to vacuum up. I really felt bad for them because my air conditioning compressor is on the roof, three flights up. We have narrow hallways, but they didn't leave a mark on our walls. Funny thing is that the other two contractors I got bids from said they would need to bring in a crane. These guys said it was no big deal to go through the house. To top it all off, I just got a letter in the mail from them reminding me to register the furnace and air conditioner and supplying me with the serial numbers so I didn't have to go find them myself. I am very pleased with my experience with Integrity.

We received several estimates for a new heater and air conditioner. The estimator was very professional and prompt. He had great follow-up and wasn't overly aggressive. He was willing to negotiate on the price with me. I was nervous having them do the work because of some of the reviews I have read and I have to say that they did a terrific job. The installers arrived right on time, 7:30 am on a Saturday morning and didn't leave until around 3:00 pm. They were very clean and didn't leave any type of mess. They laid down tarps from my front door to the basement, which was much appreciated. They took out all of the equipment and swept everything up. When they were done, they showed us all of the new hardware and explained everything to me. Because of the weather, he explained that the a/c is hooked up, but that they have to come out in the summer to properly charge the unit. They also offered great incentives, a new thermostat, UV air cleaner and two years free maintenance. My husband and I have been very pleased with the work.

My experience with the install was terrible, there was some sloppy work done ( a lot of patching and tapping on the unit, a water boiler that barely fits and looks out of place, whistling and humming noises from the equipment that they insist are normal, but gave two different explanations for it, the manager said that it is the coolant circulating, but the installer said its the blower pushing air and its probably a small hole or opening in the duct that sounds like whistle, no cover for the filter that they said it does not come with one and when I insisted they got one), and some attitude from the manager when she was informed that there was some damage done to the drywall, dirty walls and doors that he finally agreed to patch and wipe down, and the patio door step limestone that was damaged from the installers moving the equipment in and out. The installation was very unprofessional, there was damage done to our home that they promised will be taken care of, but they never returned our calls or emails and it has been over a month. We send numerous emails to customer service, (Gabrielle Logan customer service manager) with no response, (Denee Jordan office manager) with no response, installation manager Brian who promised he will get in contact with us within two days, that never happened.. my email to office manager Denee Jordan (For the last two weeks you installation manager Brian has not return my calls, where he promised to take care of the damaged patio door limestone that was damaged by the installers moving heavy equipment in and out through the patio door, and was very rude and confronted me with aggression when is I called him with my concerns at the end of the installation, and he completed some sloppy patching and wiping of the walls (with glass cleaner and they now need painting) acting like it was not his job, although the damage and reaping to the wall was caused by the installers.) We had complained from the beginning that something was wrong when there was whistling noise when the AC came on, coming from the furnace, but they insisted it was all normal, we finally had to call and pay another company to troubleshoot the system and what the found was very disturbing, the supply return from the furnace was not connected or improperly connected with 50 percent of the air escaping in the rear supply duct that was not visible from the front. (What the other company is proposing are the following: Notes: "Furnace Making Noise . Checked unit and found supply and return duct not insulated supply flex runs not insulated supply run on top of furnace not connected properly this is causing new furnace to make whistling noise . Customer would like estimate to insulate supply and return ducts and plenum to stop noise that is coming from new furnace installation." After I send the report to them with pictures and video, they came back and hooked up the air supply ducts but they also removed the volume dumpers from both supply ducts in order for the whistling noise to go away, but this has created an unbalanced system where it gets too cold or too warm upstairs than downstairs in our home, we have informed them of the problem with research done see below, but have never responded. ---IMPORTANT NOTE: Single leaf dampers are not permitted as the sole means of balancing under any circumstances. ?SMACNA? (Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association, Inc.) publishes a wide range of Industry Standards. ¶7.3.3 of their ?Residential Comfort System Installation Standards Manual? Seventh Edition 1998 provides the basis for our statements about opposed blade and single leaf dampers. ?ACCA? (Air Conditioning Contractors of America) also publishes a wide range of Industry Standards. ¶8-2 of their Manual D (?Residential Duct Systems? 2006) is aptly titled ?Balancing Dampers Are Required?; it says ?? a balancing damper must be installed in each runout duct.? (That?s the same as ?branch? duct). Finally, balancing at outlets is problematic at best: The settings can?t be locked, and objectionable air noise usually develops; balancing with volume dampers solves both problems. We paid $350.00 to replace our patio door limestone sill with no reimbursement from Integrity heating and cooling, we have being charged premium for equipment and installation that costs half of what we paid for. it is basic level not top or even medium level, beware of false advertising from Integrity heating and cooling, they advertised half price on new furnace AC and 50% off on installation, and then they insist this is not for the equipment that you are interested in. They have unprofessional installers, they have no customer service, they will not respond or take responsibility of any wrong doing. I cannot recommend or do business with this company in the future.

7 Years ago we had our heating and a/c replaced and purchased a Trane unit from Integrity. The price was competitive and they seemed competent. Unfortunately our lack of knowledge about heating and a/c and their lack of integrity was a bad combo. We had them service our unit over the years always asking what condition or unit was in or if we needed to do any kind of maintenance. They always told us our system was in good shape and never said quoted us any additional service, they only did the minimum and apparently not well. Our system had not been cleaned properly, our filters they installed were the wrong size and installed backwards, they installed the filter for our unit mounted humidifier backwards causing water to pour out of the unit. We have had to replace our entire a/c system this summer due their incompetence. It was less than 7 years old! There were numerous problems with the way they installed our system taking numerous shortcuts that also shortened the life of our system (no dampers, vents in the wrong place, bad plastic tubing, etc.). I feel very taken advantage of. When we tried to address some of these issues with Integrity they were rude and uncooperative. Never ever again!

First, it needs to be clarified that we did not perform any work for this customer in July 2015. We installed a new furnace, A/C and humidifier in 2008. Because we keep all of our service and installation records, I was able to pull every appointment we've had with this customer. Our records tell a very different tale. Since the time of installation, we have never been to this customer's home until May, 2014 (6 years after installation). We have absolutely not serviced their units "over the years" as the customer claims. Also, whenever we install new systems, we always make it known to the customer that annual maintenance (cleanings and tune ups) are very important. When our service technician arrived (6 years later) he found the A/C coil completely frozen due to lack of maintenance on the A/C unit. We added refrigerant and got it up and running. The next time we were there, our technician found a faulty voltage absorber. Again, at the time of installation, customers are made aware that we are not responsible for current electrical systems in the home. We did not replace any electrical components at the time of installation. At this service appointment, our technician changed a faulty voltage absorber, and also recommended a cleaning and tune up (declined by the customer). Finally, our last visit to her home was in November, 2014. And it was only to service the humidifier. After our technician left, the humidifier still had a minor leak. We sent another technician to service it. He replaced the pad, cycled the system and everything worked fine. We have not heard anything further from this customer since then. Neither for service nor any complaints from this customer. So we're a little baffled by this terrible review and rating. Due to the fact that this customer has had a system for 6 years, with no maintenance, it's safe to assume that all the units (furnace, A/C and humidifier) have been working just fine. We pride ourselves in quality installations, service and customer service. We do not engage in "shortcuts", nor do we "take advantage" of our customers, as stated in this review. Company said nothing would be covered simply because they had no been called to clean it prior to unit going out. A wild animal bit thru wires and I was forced to pay an extremely high and overpriced for replacing contactor and capacitor and some wires. Really $1,000! Come on, I called another air /heating company afterward and they said those units were way over priced. Integrity charged $484.00 each! How in good faith can this company remain this is outrageous.
Description of Work: 4 yr old air conditioner went out. found that wire had been chewed and capacitor and contactor had all gone out, company replaced all timely but charged me $1,000 for 20 minutes to replace parts that cost below $100 each. Im calling BBB for their high exorbitant costs dealing with woman that cost was half what the unit cost only 4 yrs prior.

Description of Work: Last September, my husband and I received a quote from Integrity to install an AC/Furnace in our home. In May of this year, we decided to contact Integrity to go forward on the work, especially since they are highly rated here at Angie's List as well as offer a GREAT deal on an install. Well, I have called Integrity FIVE times and each time I was told someone would call me back within an hour, yet no one has called. This leads me to conjure up countless reasons why Integrity refuses to return my calls: they don't service my neighborhood? They don't service my "kind of people"? They don't want to do business with us? They got SOOO much work that they can't possibly be bothered? or, I'm just last on the totem pole - we'll get to you sometime next year once this sale is over!? Either way, it would be refreshing if someone had taken the time to grant me the courtesy of a call back. As it stands, I've moved on. This is not good. :-(

The company never provided an estimate for the project, I called every few days for weeks (!) and spoke to the receptionist and the sales manager on several occasions (when he was in and "not busy.") I left messages with their secretary and on the voice mail of the sales manager on many occasions. They said they would call back and never did. They said that the estimator was working on it (...week after week after week). They even declined to tell me if they would call back. One has to wonder if they had done work if this is what they would have done with a problem had one arisen: not responsive, not professional. Maybe they're going out of business, have staffing problems or have legal problems, but surely they could have called back, even if to say this project is too small for them. I in the meantime got an estimate from two other firms in a timely and professional manner. I called the referring contractor and the real estate agent who referred me and told them the story. No one else should have to have this experience. While they may be a good company, it's a big risk to take when it's your home that's getting repaired (or not). This is the kind of story you always hear about sub-contractors but never believe it could happen to you....
Description of Work: I was referred to this provided by a general contractor who had used them in the city (I'm in the Suburbs, and it appears that different offices handled different locations). I called to set up an appointment to have a heating project done involving my boiler and other heating needs. They set up the appointment and were on time. After that, the story becomes a nightmare. They were supposed to get back to me the next week. They never did.

New air conditioning and heating was installed on 3/16/15. The air conditioning went out 3&1/2 months later on Saturday, 8/1/15, in the middle of a heat wave. I'm reading directly from the Integrity website, "Need a repair or service call? We have a truck in your neighborhood. Call us now! 708.389.3327. Fast response time! Emergency Service! Call now! 24 hour HVAC Service Guarantee: we will respond to your call and repair your heating or cooling problem within 24 hours, or we will put you in a hotel for the night." Since everything was under warrantee. I anticipated no problems. I called the number given, and got an answering service. The service stated that they would text the repair technician on duty. I waited an hour and called again. I got the same response. An hour later I called again. This time I also stated that there was an elderly person in the house who would have to be moved if the air conditioning was not repaired soon. The answering service stated that they did not know why the technician was not responding, however they would text all of the information again. An hour later I still had no response. I called the answering service a 4th time and again stated I had an elderly person in the house. The service stated that they would call a manager at home. Five hours after I made my first call, the manager (Laura P.) called me. My first question for her was about the delay in responding. Her answer was, "The office is closed on weekends." I asked about the 24 hour statement on the website. Her answer was that they do "take" messages 24/7. I asked when my calls would have been returned if I had not pestered the answering service. Her answer was "Monday 8/3," which was 48 hours later. I asked when a repairman could come out, and was told "Tuesday, 8/4," 72 hours later. At that point I became very angry. I said that the website was deceptive, and they were being insensitive to the older person in my home. The manager stated she was not told by the answering service that there was a senior citizen in the house. The answering service said they did. The manager said that in view of that fact, a technician would be out the following day. The next day, Sunday 8/2 at 1:00 PM a very nice, polite and apologetic technician arrived. An hour and a half later the air conditioning was working fine. The service order stated, "Found unit low on R-410A. Charged 8 ounces of R-410A." I asked what that meant. The technician stated the air conditioner had been improperly charged when it was installed. He also stated that he was the technician on duty the previous day, and had never received any of the text messages from the answering service. I have no idea who or what to believe. Based on some of the company's responses to poor reviews, they appear to be very defensive and hypersensitive to criticism, so I doubt I'll ever find out what the actual truth is. I'll be very interested to see how they respond to this review.

Install team was there right on time at 8am. They realized there was a great deal of custom sheet metal required as they were replacing a 40 year old furnace with a large footprint. Additional fittings were ordered and delivered by company personnel. The installation turned into an all day job, and was not completed until nearly 7pm. The installation team of Mike and Dave were very professional and showed a strong desire to do an outstanding job. I am glad this was not their first furnace installation, because it required expertise above most in the industry. I don't think they even stopped for lunch. Outstanding job !

Five days ago I had a HVAC system installed by Integrity Heating & Cooling, my first experience with them. From the salesman, to the office person and the installer; all were very pleasant, friendly, helpful and able to answer any questions I had to my satisfaction. From the time I received my quote from Integrity, one of four, we had some minor health issues in the family; which delayed the project somewhat. Integrity kept following up like any professional business should do, and when the health issues were behind us I scheduled the install. They said they would be at the house at 7:30 am, and they were. Very punctual. The installers (two gentlemen) were very knowledgeable about their specific tasks in the installation process and very accommodating to my requests and questions. The system I chose (97% efficient furnace) replaced an 80% efficient furnace, so a different exhaust line had to be installed rather than using the existing chimney. They took care in their drilling and finished the job by sealing all open areas and cleaning up from around them. The office reached out to me two days after install to ask how it went and see how the system was operating. All is very good. The variable speed blower that is left on all the time makes a tremendous difference in keeping the entire house at one temperature rather than having the lower floor colder than the upper floor. The blower slows down, but keeps pushing air when the thermostat is not calling for heat. I also learned that Integrity offers both military and senior citizen discounts on their service programs, but check with your salesman for specifics. As I said, we are very happy with Integrity Heating & Cooling from start to finish with our project. I have already referred them to some friends. Our old furnace died so called Integrity based on the good reviews here. Repairman arrived on time and was very professional. Decided to replace rather than repair, and found their price to be comparable to what the average cost is in the area (based on Home Advisor information). A few hours later, the installation professionals arrived, and they worked very hard (in a very cold house) installing not only the new furnace but new A/C (which was surprising considering how cold it was outside). The HVAC apprentice was the lucky one who got to work outside, but not a single complaint was heard. They were very professional and respectful of our home (thoroughly cleaned up throughout and when they finish). Additionally, they did a little extra work as well, including putting the a/c on a pedestal, gave a new digital thermostat, vacuumed out the vent, and created easy access to the furnace filter. Overall great experience.

Rick came out for a routine cleaning of two 18 year old furnaces. He said he found cracks in the heat exchangers and recommended that the units be replaced, especially due to age and because cracks in the heat exchangers could lead to CO poisoning. Because I had the day off work and because the crew could service me that day, I agreed. The two-man crew (and I am ashamed to say I forgot their names) came within an hour, were very friendly, professional, showed me the cracks when the units were outside, and cleaned up after themselves. They also told me that the special air cleaner+ expensive filters that I had been using for nearly 18 years may have caused excess heat to build up... leading to the cracks. They recommended plain filters -- not pleated ones -- in the future with monthly changing. The lead serviceman was training his helper. He was very patient, and I could hear him give advice and explain why things were done certain ways. I would definitely recommend this service provider to others.

Technician arrived, diagnosed and proposed a course of action. The problem was intermittent and as one would expect, the furnace worked when the tech arrived. The tech provided a bare minimum solution as well as a more complete solution, without pressure to take the more expensive route. After the decision was made, it was implemented quickly and presented paperwork for payment.
Description of Work: Diagnose & repaired a Trane XE90 furnace, Given a window from 3:30-6:30pm, tech arrived about 1/2-hour earlier (highly appreciated) and diagnosed the problem providing the basic minimal potential solution, as well as a recommended solution. All parts were available (on-hand).
