1. They broke the water main in two places, covered it up by continuing the landscaping, lied about breaking it, and offered to re-landscape again later for more money. 2. I told them I wanted ground cover around established trees and on the side of the house. Instead they planted grass there. They then planted the ground cover without first killing the new grass. It looks terrible because of all the grass growing around and rising above the new ground cover. 3. There are many, many large bare spots where grass should be growing. I told them about that but instead of seeding or reseeding the bare spots, they covered it up with the fiber blanket that concealed the fact grass seed wasn't planted until after I paid them. 4. They fixed my brick sidewalk but forgot they were to treat it. When I reminded them to do it, they didn't sweep off the dirt and just covered the dirt. 5. Tore pond liner, covered it up, and didn't reattach to new bricks despite many promises.

They never contacted me, so I hired another landscaper to do the project.

I am beyond pleased with the work. Working with Frank was a God send. Such a professional. He explained everything that would happen when he came out for a estimate and the work was so professional. I highly recommend him for any project

Outstanding service. All of their representatives and employees were extremely polite, professional, and responded in a timely manner. I needed to have leaves and branches cleaned up on a half acre property with about 40 oak trees. My contact with the company was Frank Gonzalez, he was extremely helpful and professional, he arrived on the agreed date with four other employees and they completed a very labor intensive job in 5 hours. The price was well worth the service they provided. The price is made according to the work required to complete the service and I found it to be more than fair for the amount of work that I needed to have done. The entire experience was exactly as I had hoped for and I strongly recommend using their services and becoming a regular customer. Thank you to Emerald Bloom, Frank, and his team. Finally a company that is doing it right.

Frank Gonzales (owner) and the Emerald Bloom crew did an exceptional job relacing our paver walkway. Early Spring, they rehab’d the paver driveway, straightening bricks, etc. back to new status (installed 17 yrs. ago). They recently repaired the back deck masonary-bricked at a great saving, financially and in time. (Frank dignosed the source of the problem causing the bricks to shift & ameliorated the drainage issue at the time of the deck rehab. The deck bricks had tilted up against the house - others claimed the issue was due to settling/aging & suggested tearing out/replacing the deck!) in addition, Emerald Bloom’s lawn maintenance service is the best we’ve had. High recommendations for Emerald Bloom services.

Fantastic! The crew of 4 men worked in 85 degree weather and accomplished everything in one day. I would recommend this business. Frank Gonzales was very helpful in giving suggestions and overseeing the the workforce.

The wall build went well as a previous review that I made reflects. The wall (a little less than a year later) looks and functions well. The reason for this follow-up poor review is that the lawn repair was far from adequate for the price paid. An erosion blanket with seed that was placed on the back of the lot, never had seed under it, and I had to seed it and redo that this spring. (done myself and came out great). The repair (supposedly to pre-work condition) of the lawn where machinery had been driven during construction was subpar at best leaving high and low spots. They came out to fix just this week, and damaged a downspout drain that I had fixed after they left it damaged after their first repair. There were two other downspout drains that they did in the initial job that are an eyesore that I will have to redo myself as well. So that leaves three downspout repairs and significant landscaping repairs after a job that ran 10% over the estimate. They did offer discounts on "future" services and to come repair the downspout drain, but why would I want something else to go wrong when they come back. Cut my losses and choose not to use again. Top dollar does not always mean top quality. They are respectful and polite, but that does not make a job look nice.

It was going well until the rains and cold weather set in which made it difficult to determine how well it all turned out.

Excellent. Frank stuck with me through the many headaches that the city gave me. His price was comparable to other companies. He worked with me and asked questions along the way about different options for the look of the project. There was an "over-budget" surprise that was unwelcome, but not a deal-breaker. The work looks amazing.

I waited several weeks for the company to get back to me about availability, and by the time they could, it was the middle of July, and we had already completed the work ourselves.

They are ok, we use them this year, last year , every week. They mow the lawn on a regular basis every week. I pay for the whole year & even if there is a problem he comes back to fix it immediately.

I'd recommend them. I haven't really sourced out other providers. I think they may be on the more expensive side for what they do. For me, it's okay, but for some they may be a little too expensive.

Wonderful. They were very knowledgeable, considerate, punctual and offered a fair price. They did a great job with great results. I will have them back this season for more work. A true pleasure to do business with. Bottom line trustworthy!!!!😃

I was very happy and impressed with my entire job. The employees as well as the owner were very cooperative with me and all of my wishes. I would rehire them in a minute if I had any other yard work.

Great,it took a little longer to get going,because of chicagos wet spring,i understand because I also work outdoors! Once they got going though,it was great,2 days,15 x 50 ft pavers,done. looks awesome !cant wait for the first pool party. Thanks Emerald bloom!

HAVE NOT STARTED AS YET THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB

They arrived promptly each day and cleaned up to ensure safety while we were home at night. Despite challenging weather they were able to finish as scheduled. Frank is talented and artistic in his approach while blending his work with your existing structure and landscaping .

It went very well. They were prompt and did the job as we discussed, quickly and neatly.

Frank was extremely patient with me, listened to my ideas, even told me what could cause me problems in the future. I love that kind of honesty. This company is not the cheapest and it is not the most expensive, but they educate you while giving you an estimate. They teach you how to ask questions with each bidder on your project. You come away feeling knowledgeable & armed with the proper,questions to make an informed decision. This is the reason, I chose this company. And I do not regret that decision. Midway through, I added things, the price went up, but such is life. Toward the end everything starting fitting together so perfectly, that had it not been for the mosquitos, I would have spent the night outside, looking at my house. I love what Frank and his crew have done. You can not go wrong with this team. They will not disappoint. Your money is well spent. Frank listened to my ideas. I am certain he learned a lot about zen gardens & pi. He actually gave me my dream garden. If I could give 10 stars, I would. This is gold star quality.

They had told me they would be out within a week after getting a quote. Towards the end of that week I had to call to find out when they were coming. They ended up coming out the next day which was fine. They did a good job for the most part. I didn't really get any info on how to take care of the 2 new planted maple trees and they left a big raised spot on my lawn where one of the trees was removed. I was under the impression that would be leveled and grass would be planted. I did confirm with Frank that grass seed would be put down on the 8 spots where trees and shrubs were removed. That was never done. I called multiple times to find out when they were going to come back out and put grass seed down. I was told tomorrow 3 or 4 times and nobody ever showed up. I called about a week later and I was told by Frank they were busy. I paid for a service that wasn't completed. I don't care if you're busy. You didn't finish my job that I already paid for. Not the end of the world but when you say you're going to do something, do it. After looking at 8 bare sports in my lawn for a month and multiple phone calls and texts I just decided to buy grass seed and do it myself. The worst part of the experience was just the mound I have in my lawn. It literally looks like a pitchers mound so I can't mow it evenly and it just looks like crap. Frank was a nice guy and was professional, he just didn't finish the job.
