First of all on when he came up on Angie's List, it shows $10.00 discount for seniors also Angie give a $10.00 discount for using Angie List customers... they would not give both (false advertising)...when he came out and checked out the situation he said "might" need a new filter and that I could also use a new lock on the machine (which I did need)... he ordered both and came back on 06/27 with the filter and new lock which he installed.... I ran the dishwasher two days later and did have some water coming from under the machine but most of all the dishes still were not clean.... I called him back and he came out on Monday 06/30 and said the float was stuck and that was why the water came out (he did fix it) but did not have any solution as to why it was not cleaning the dishes....when he left I asked him what if the dishwasher still is not cleaning and he said he did not know any other reason why it would do that..... I do not feel for $150.00 I had my problem solved and probably bought a filter I did not need because the problem was not fixed.... very disappointed as this was my first experience with Angie's List... 07/15/2014...SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD A COUPLE OF CALLS FROM THE OWNER who did work with me to resolve the problem... I feel because of this I would give them a second chance if I needed them again because they followed up on the situation, offered a couple of solutions and continued til I was satisfied...

He did a good job. Knows his products. Was very quick.

They came out, identified the problem & were going to come out the next day to complete the work. We had to call & cancel the next day's service call due to a medical emergency. They worked with us very well in re-scheduling another visit to complete the work.

After almost getting scammed by another non-Angie's list service provider, I found Mikes Bremen on AL. Deb was awesome on the phone. She got me a quick estimate and was totally upfront about pricing and timing. No hidden fees. Lon was on time, clean and efficient. Fixed our Samsung washer super fast. I will definitely be calling Mike's Bremen Service with any future repair needs. Thanks again!!

Mike Jr came out to my house on time, he called twice, once to let me know when to expect him and once when he was close by. He listened to me, appreciated that I explained to him everything I had already done. He quickly fixed my oven, demonstrated the reason it was broken and explained to me why it was broken. The price was fair and I will call on him again in the future.

They came out quickly and were able to diagnose the problem (timer) right away. They got the part later that day so they scheduled to come back out the next morning. It didn't take long to fix it. We've had no problems since then and it has been three months.

Great, the technician came in, diagnosed the problem as the switch, changed the switch, we're back doing the laundry! Very friendly and professional service!

Went perfect in and out quickly and the dryer is still working well after a couple months of use.

I used Mike's Bremen Service to get my icemaker working again. Took 3 schedules to get someone to come out, but none of it was a fault due to Mike's Bremen. One was due to severe weather conditions (let's just call it an act of God), the other was due to me rescheduling for work related conflicts and finally the last schedule someone came out. Bottomline I have no complaints with this company. I had a bad icemaker... it was quickly identified and now my refrigerator is making ice like new. The icemaker cost $150 and the service call and labor cost $75. Total cost = $225. I had already researched and projected that the issue was due to either a bad icemaker or water inlet valve. I had already replaced the inlet valve but it did not fix the problem. I then went ahead and priced an icemaker directly from GE and from online searches. GE quoted me $140 + shipping and handling and online searches cost anywhere of $100+ or Ebay listed it for -$100 (but I'm not always trusting everything from Ebay). None the less, I decided that I didn't want to chance spending the money on odering a icemaker for a DIY fix and it may have not fixed the problem. Then I would have to go thru the hassle of sending it back. Didn't want the headache. So I searched thru Angie's List for a good appliance repair company and came across Mike's Bremen. I feel from my prior knowledge of knowing what the icemaker would or should cost combine with the service and labor charge was very reasonable. Markup wasn't too outrageous for the icemaker from my research. Thus I was left with a trusting impression from this company. Additionally, he looked at the burner on my stove and did not find a problem other then I had transposed the burners during cleaning, which is why that one burner wasn't igniting. A quick fix under the same service call. How great is that!! I would definitely recommend and even use this company again. P.S. Changing a icemaker seems to be fairly simple, so next time, if there's a next time, I think I would go for a DIY on this.

My washing machine stopped working in the middle of doing a load on Saturday morning (laundry day)! Went on Angie's List and chose Mike's Bremen Service Inc based on reputation and location. Called and spoke to Debbie, asked if there was any chance someone could come out that day. She said there had been an afternoon cancellation and would check with the repairman to see if he could schedule me in. Debbie called back a short time later and said the repairman could come over between 1-3 p.m Lon arrived within that time frame, and also called me beforehand to let me know he'd be by within the hour. I was concerned that he wouldn't be able to fix my washer as it is 14+ years old, but Lon had the part on-hand and completed the repair within 20 minutes. My experience with Mike's Bremen Service Inc was exceptional! I appreciate how Debbie and Lon went the extra mile and were able to squeeze me in same day. It was yet another snowy Saturday with several inches expected, and I did not want to lug everything to laundry mat! Very pleased in every way! Thanks!

Was very polite and even took off their shoes (was snowing). Knew what the issue was after checking it out. The whole service call was about an hour. He had the part on hand and there was no waiting to install it. Excellent work.

I had a problem with my refrigerator not maintaining it's coldness. Every other provider were 1 or 2 days until they could service my unit. Bremen's were not only able to come same day, but were extremely reasonable in repair cost. Unfortunately the repair failed twice after their initial repair, however each time, their technician not only arrived the same day as my complaint, but repaired issue for free. Unit is working like a charm now, and Bremen's will be my go to appliance repair company for the future. They stand behind their product, and don't overcharge you.

They checked on my stove he was not able to fix it but did give me options and was very honest with explanation. I have used in the past and will use again.

I have always been very satisfied with their work and would highly recommend them.

contractor was polite and professional on initial call. He told me that he couldn't get anyone out for two days (as if that was slow!). Service man called ahead and showed up on time. He diagnosed the problem with my oven as a bad control board. iIt was an expensive part so he said he didn't want to rush me to decide on moving forward with the repair. i did decide to make the repair but i appreciated his not being pushy. Anyway he told me it would take a couple of days to get the part and in two days he was back, on time again. he completed the repairs quickly and the oven works fine. i would definitely use Mike Bremen's again.

When Lon arrived he knew right away what the problem was. He did not have the part in his truck and suggested maybe he could come back on Friday (the next day was Thanksgiving). I was disappointed and he said he would see if he could get the part today and come back. If not, he said if I was available early tomorrow (Thanksgiving!!!), he would come back then. He was able however to get the part and called late afternoon to tell me he would return today. He replaced a sad looking rusty pump in my washer, checked the water flow, and all the cycles of the washer. Then, at my request, checked and cleaned my dryer of a few years worth of lint. His original estimate was $189 and the final cost was $200. I was very pleased with the service (come on, you will come back on a holiday???) and would call them again.

My 17 year-old gas dryer was making a loud banging noise when running (though still technically working). When I called Mike's Bremen Service, I was prepared to hear that it was too old to fix, part was no longer available, etc. The technician came promptly and, after turning on the dryer and listening for 30 seconds, knew what the problem was - a broken blower wheel. He went to his truck for the part and had it installed in less than 20 minutes. Overall, a great experience - and much cheaper than a new dryer!

When I called to schedule an appointment (Mon), they were able to show up the very next business day (Tue). The technician was very polite, professional, and punctual when he showed up. After diagnosing the problem, he told me that he would have to order a part, and he would be able to repair the dishwasher in two days. As promised, I received a call 2 days later (Thu morning) saying that the technician would be at my place between 9-11 am. At 11:45, I had yet to hear from the technician, so I called to inquire on the status. The first gentleman I spoke with asked if I answered my phone in the morning. I replied, that yes, I had spoken to a woman in the morning, and then I was put on hold after he had asked my name. At that moment, the technician called me on the other line saying that he'd be over in about 10 minutes. I called the provider back to let them know that the technician was on the way; the woman on the other line apologized for the delay. When the technician arrived, he also apologized for the delay. His work was quick, and he was friendly and professional. I'm happy to say that the dishwasher now works. My only complaint is that it would have been nice to receive a call saying that the technician was running late. Besides that, I am very happy with the service, and I will probably use them again in the future.

He first showed me how to perform a system diagnostic test on the washer that wasn't in the owners manual. He then showed me the defective part and replaced it without issue. During the repair, he suggested going on the company% website and see if there were any recalls on the dishwasher element. He showed me where the serial and model numbers were. I entered them at the website and unfortunately there was not a recall. I thought it was an extra step that he didn't have to suggest, but it was worth a try. He charged a reasonable price for the repair. Good job!

Their service, responsiveness, and overall professionalism was top-notch. We moved into our new house in mid-July and discovered many problems, our Sub Zero refrigerator being one of them. I called Mike's Bremen to request a quote, and they sent a service man out within a day to inspect the fridge. He was super-knowledgable and friendly, along with his assistant/apprentice (I wish I remembered their names)! He informed me of the issue, educated me a bit on the mechanics, and was honest about the costs involved. The parts were ordered and the job fully completed within a matter of days. They are awesome.

It's been over a year and I am responding to a request for a rating. We have used Mike's Bremen Service for longer than I can remember - since it's been actually Mike responding to calls. We've used the postcards sent out to returning customers for a few dollars off on service calls. These also serve as a handy reminder to get maintenance work done. We used Mike's for the replacement of the furnace and a/c. As I recall, the bid was fair and competitive. And obviously, since we've had only one issue since the installation in the spring of 1999, they installed a quality product (American Standard). They haven't done much "repair" work but when it's been done, we haven't felt gouged at the end of the experience.

Job went great. Arrived on time. Reasonable price. Men were professional and courteous. Completed job in a reasonable amount of time. Oven now works fine.

Every Year "Mike" comes out to clean the furnace and change the humidifier filter. Nice guy, always on time, no muss, no fuss!
