It went fine and the freezer is working perfectly at this point.

I forgot to give the service person my coupon, so I called on Monday and was told, of course, not a problem, we can still take the ten dollars off.

I had Mike's Bremen Service repair appliances several times. I noticed a pattern. The serviceman would say I needed a part and would then call the office to get a price. I would agree to the repair. When the serviceman returned a few days later with the part he would tell me the part was actually 20 or 30 dollars more than the price he had quoted me. Although the work done was fine, when a change in price occurred several times, I began to feel this was no coincidence. I think this was a deceptive practice and I have not used this company again.

My call was after hours, but I left a message, and Debbie called me back within an hour. Lon came the next afternoon. He was on time, and though he was a bit abrupt, he knew exactly what was wrong and how to perm. or temporarily fix it.

My GE side-by-side refrigerator was not cooling properly, and the 'frost-free' freezer side was icing up. After finding this provider on Angie's list, I called for service on a Tuesday afternoon and was told that the serviceman could come on Thursday, that they would call me Thursday morning to give me a time window, which they did. Their serviceman "Lon" arrived by 4pm Thursday, within the 1-4pm time window I had been given. Lon diagnosed the problems within minutes and had completed the repairs within about 70 minutes. The repairs involved replacing some pricey parts - notably the main circuit board (motherboard) and the ice dispenser solenoid. Parts and labor totaled $350, minus the $10 Angie's List coupon. The refrigerator is working like new. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the repairs and the professional manner of the service provider. And while the repair cost seemed high at first, after pricing the parts online, I feel that the price of the repairs was reasonable. My only issue is that it took over 48 hours to get a technician out to my home, so I ended up having to throw out most of the food in the fridge. This was during a record-breaking hot spell (upper 90's and low 100's), so I understand that they were probably busier than usual with A/C repairs ... or maybe they're just so good that they are in high demand. Still, I don't think I will wait that long the next time. I was pleased to find that Angie's List had several appliance repair providers listed in the Southwest suburbs. In many other categories that I've searched, there have been few, if any, providers listed in my area. I'm glad to see that the list is catching on around here.

He said he could replace the motor for $200 or we could just get a new one for about the same price. He was very professional and honest. The pricing was appropriate. He called me right back and did a good job. He showed up right on time.

The refrigerator did not have any cool air, but the freezer was still working. I had heard that I might need a new refrigerator. I decided to call and see if I could get somone to look at it before I spent a lot of money on a new refrigerator. I called them on a Tuesday and he came on a Wednesday afternoon. He looked at it and immediately knew it was the defroster thermostat. He had the refrigerator fixed in about 45 minutes and only charged 168.00. Absolutely thrilled I did not have to buy a new appliance and the service and price were great.

The initial diagnosis was incorrect however the part that was replaced probably needed repaving after 16 years of service. When I noticed the problem wasn't fixed they came out again, at no additional charge (for labor) and discovered the pump motor needed to be replaced. In both instances Lon was courteous and very professional. He explained what he found and left the damaged part for us to inspect. I haven't had any issues since. I would recommend Mike's Bremen Service to anyone needing a good repair service.

Repaired appliance now working fine

Lon was sent to the house. He quickly identified that the washer had a jammed article of clothing that was unreachable from the bottom and might require and expensive full dismantling of the washer. This would have to be done on a follow-up visit. Lon moved on to my dish washer which he quickly deduced that had a clogged pump which he cleared. He determined that a faulty ice maker wash flooding the freezer and fridge. Lon recommended replacement of the icemaker with a better model and adding an aluminum wire to the defroster to prevent ice clogging the defrost drain. I agreed and he removed the ice jams, the old maker and installed a new one. Finally, Lon wanted one more attempt at un-jamming the front load washer by accessing a top opening. After much trial and error he removed the jammed article of clothing without the complete washer tear down. I was very relieved and pleased by how qickly and completely all three problems were resolved.

It went fine, no problems, everything was taken care in no time.

Our repairman was not only on time, he was early. He was polite, knowledgeable and thorough. He had to return with the part 2 days later, but he arrived promptly once again and finished the job in no time.

I found them on Angie's List and received a coupon for $50 off from Angie's List for this service provider. I would recommend them because they were quick and did a good job. They came at the appointed time and fixed it right away.

I have used this company in the past and they are very responsive and give very accurate times for arrival to perform the services. I notified them ahead of time that I had a dryer that was not heating up to dry clothes and that I wanted the furnace serviced since it had been a couple of years since it had been serviced. Company responded almost immediately, informed me of the name of the individual who would be performing the service and that he would be calling me to set up the date of appointment and approximate time. Individual called the next day and the appointment was set. He arrived on time on the date set and spent about 2 hours repairing and servicing the dryer and furnace and had all parts available in his truck - including the humidfier filter.

Overall, he was professional, friendly and competent but I was a little disappointed that the total cost ended up being 25% more than the original estimate. I thought it was odd that 3 things went wrong with the A/C all at once when it had never been a problem in the past. I may or may not use them again as I think that their fees are pretty high. For any big jobs, I would certainly get other estimates, but I would trust that they would do a good job in the end.

The first person, whom they sent, could not find the problem. I had to call the company again. The owner came out and it took him just three seconds to diagnose the problem. They did not charge for the second time they came. They were here on time. They were here the same day or the day after. I would use them in the future.

They did a good job. I have used them before, and they have always done a pretty good job. They seem to get a little bit expensive. Their prices seem to be rising quite a bit, so I might give thought to using somebody different next time.

Dishwasher not working. Prompt and knowledgable. Honest about what may be the best thing to do. Definitely will continue using, as well as referring people.

He was very fast and efficient. The work was completed in one trip.

I called and spoke to Debbie in the late afternoon. She told me Mike could come the next day in the early afternoon. She also said she would call at 8:00 AM the next morning to give me a 2-hour window as to when he would arrive, so I could go out and do what I needed to get done. I wouldn't have to wait around all day. I really appreciated that they valued my time. When Mike thought he'd be a little late, he called me. Mike turned out to be on time. I felt valued as a customer that he would even call to tell me that. Most companies I've worked with don't care enough to call to tell me they're going to be late. I have always had to call them to find out why they were late, and when I could expect them. My husband and I have discussed the fact that our dryer is working better than ever! I definitely would recommend them!!!

The jets were cleaned on the dishwasher and Kevin suggested to my husband that we use a cleaner to help it run better. He also told my husband that we should not be washing plastic items in it and to run the hot water prior to starting the washer. Although Kevin removed quite a bit of garbage from the jets, the dishwasher is not performing any better than it had been prior to being "serviced". At that time, a burner on the stove was supposed to be repaired but he did not have the part needed and said he would order the part, which should be in by Thursday or Friday (he was there on Tuesday) and he would call back to schedule another appointment. Two weeks after he had been at our home I called back since we had not heard from anyone. Debbie in the office was very apologetic but apparently Kevin had neglected to order the part. Debbie called back to let us know that the part was not available and had to be "custom" ordered. It would take approximately 10 days before the part was available. In addition, even though only one burner was not working, the "custom" part was for all four burners and would all have to be replaced. We declined having the part replaced.
