The owner of Closet Clarity Inc. is Ray Szalko. He is a custom cabinet maker. He has provided custom cabinetry for many kitchens, bathrooms, and closets. I had hired him to design a layout for my kitchen, and to provide the cabinetry. He came to my home and brought along an album showing various projects he had completed in the past. The work was impressive. He then measured walls, doorways, windows, and the newer appliances that I was keeping in the new kitchen. He later showed me detailed plans (4) for various layouts. After approving a plan, he put together an estimate. Upon it's approval I visited him at his shop in Mokena to pick out the style, wood, color, and hardware. I paid half the cost of the estimate at the time, so that he could order the wood and begin the construction. When designing with custom cabinets as opposed to the pre-fab ones from big box stores, more time needs to be allowed for the constructing of them. When completed, he arrived on the agreed-upon date with a helper. The estimate included demolition of the old kitchen. This he did, and hauled away the debris. Ray arrived on time on work days, and cleaned up the mess at the end of the work day. When not on site, he returned phone calls in a prompt manner and answered any questions that I had. He's a very personable fellow who does excellent work. You can tell he takes pride in his craft. My cabinets turned out as planned: exact style I requested, full extension drawers -quiet close- same with cabinet doors, a strong platform cabinet to hold a farmhouse sink and furniture detailing. Also, he did some extra work for me. He installed a new divided- light door with trim, trimmed out another doorway, installed crown molding, foot molding, wood thresholds, and more. I highly recommend him and would use him again. My kitchen looks fabulous!
