Description of Work: Repairman cleaned and checked furnace. Told me a part was needed, else furnace could go out anytime. Said had part in truck and could fix. Charge would be around $600! (Cleaning price was under $75). I said no, needed to check into such an expensive service. Two years later, using my usual heating servicers and no problems, and they are telling me all continues to look good and work well. Feel like the first guy could have been perpetrating a scam. Had me not renew my Angie's List subscription. Will trust more family, friends' recommendations.

Description of Work: Advised us on changing the filter on the air conditioner and also to get ready for such an old piee of equipment would soon have to be replaced. Description of Work: My A/C was working but not cooling the home. So wanted it to be inspected. Angie's list had the provider offering a "Big Deal" for A/C inspection and a free load of 1lb freon. So purchased the coupon for the service. When contacting the service provider and mentioning to him the coupon, they said that the coupon was merely to perform and inspection and not to perform the diagnostices to see why the unit was not cooling and the coupon could not be used for the purpose. So there was no use of the coupon if a diagnostic service was to be performed and paid separately for.
