We moved to a new house and so we had them to come out and verify that everything is working correctly. We will use them in the future.

I got a big deal from Angie's List. The service went fine. They showed up when they said they would, and they did what they said they were going to do, so I appreciated that.

Overall, I was pleased with their service. They were willing to negotiate on the price for the furnace, which I liked.

All the assciates were polite & professional & very patient at explaining things to me. My only disappoint ment was that, when replcacing the hose, the vavle wasn't shut all the way & it leaked, causing a wet & stinky carpet. They did come out promptly & fixed it quickly, however. I am going to get a yearly contract with them & do highly recommend them!

The company was on time, performed the service as described and offered me a few tips for how to keep my furnace functioning at peak performance between service checks. What more could you ask for?

Matt was in and out in a flash. I wish I could have been there to see exactly what he did in such a short amount of time. I didn't get there in time. He inspected two units in a span of 30 minutes or so.

Overall, A Professional Heating & Cooling out of Mokena, IL lived up to their name...prompt and efficient service; a courteous technician who is knowledgeable and took the time to explain things about the unit he was checking.

Well, I contacted this firm for a furnace inspection. It was 20 years old and I was concerned about safety. The team came out punctually and did a very professional cleaning and inspection of my old system. The heat return was pretty rusted out--which was shown to me by a video feed they had for such inspection. I am moving, so I knew the house would not sell without a solid HVAC system. We agreed I needed a new one. Matt went over all my needs with me and was able to find the perfect system at the perfect price. Kind and professional, his caring consult made this nearly painless for me. One week later, the installers arrived early Saturday morning at no extra charge for the weekend. They were so courtious, so fast and so know willing to explain every step, I was blown away. Now, I have a beautiful Carrier system--sheet metal and piping included-along with a lovely programmable thermostat which will surely save me money this winter. For a single mother on a budget, there is no better option for heating and service than A Professional. P.S. Their office scheduling staff was polite, funny and a delight to work with. What's not to like?

"A Professional" was anything BUT professional. At 6:30 pm on Friday, October 7 (the night before the long-scheduled project was to begin), I received a call from the technician who had been assigned to do the work (he was not the same man who had visited our building to provide the estimate). The technician was calling to confirm our availabilty and discuss how to get access to our roof. During our conversation, the technician expressed dismay that I expected the project to be done using a vacuum machine. He planned only to use long brushes. After informing me that the vacuum machine would be too heavy for him to carry up the necessary 15-foot ladder by himself, he told me he would call me back after speaking with his boss. Several minutes later, the technician called back to inform me that the use of a vacuum machine would increase the cost of the project from the $350 I was quoted to $585! He also told me that because the use of a vacuum would require two technicians, the work could NEVER be done on a Saturday (as required in order to ensure access to all 8 Condo units). He told me that doing the work on a Saturday was not an option because A-Professional would have to pay overtime wages to both technicians for working on the weekend. I repeatedly asked to speak with the technician's supervisor (whom he had just spoken to in order to learn the price increase), but the technician refused to give me his supervisor's number. Given that this conversation was happening after business hours on a Friday night, I could not call A-Professional's office and expect to reach anyone on my own. The technician simply advised me to call the office on Monday morning. More importantly, when I explained to the technician that I suspected the whole thing might be a scam (i.e., raising the price at the last-minute) and that the whole situation was "bull****" (I actually used the whole word), he hung up on me for using foul language. I called him back, apologized, assured him that I was not directing my anger at him, and begged him to help me solve the problem so the long-scheduled work could take place. He again told me to call their office on Monday. (Notably, at another point in the conversation the same technician who had hung up on me after supposedly being too offended or annoyed by my use of the above-described swear word used the SAME word himself. I, of course, was not offended and did not hang up on him.) Later that night, I left a detailed message with A-Professional's answering service and begged them to get someone with authority to call me back. No one did. I called A-Professional's office on the following Monday and asked to speak with the manager whose name I had gotten from the technician. The manager was not available, but the woman who answered the phone was already aware of my issue (apparently havnig heard about it from either the technician or the company's answering service). I explained the entire story, including everything that had taken place with the technician on the night before the scheduled work. The woman with whom I spoke advised me that someone from their office would get back to me. Now, five business days later, no one has ever called me back to explain why I was given an estimate for a project that would allegedly only cost $350 and take place on a Saturday, yet was then contacted the night before and advised that the project would instead cost $585 and could only happen during the week.

I bought a Big Deal and it covered the cost. They took their time and explained a few things to me. They let me know that I might need more maintenance over the next few years but it wasn’t a hard sell, they were just letting me know.

They performed great work. I have experienced no problems. They were prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. I would recommend their services.

It was a very positive experience with all of the people that I had to deal with from the initial service call through the entire installation process. I felt they appreciated my business and that they really wanted me to be satisfied with the work they did.

They came out for the check up. When I called them, the air conditioning unit had stopped blowing cold air. I thought that refrigerant may have been needed. He did a review of the equipment, determined that the compressor had gone bad, and left. It was basically a service call. He didn't do any of the things included in the tune-up that I thought should have been covered.

I used them on an Angie's List deal. It went just fine. They were prompt and showed up on time. The guy was professional.

I had purchased the Angie's List Big Offer for an A/C inspection and recharge. Having just purchased my condo I asked for a Furnace Inspection/Cleaning and also asked them to repair a few issues that were pointed out to me by the home inspection. I called on a Friday to schedule an appointment and got one for the following Tuesday (Monday was Labor Day). The technician arrived a little late, but he was travelling during morning rush hour and I was the first appointment of the day. He completed the furnace inspection and cleaning and pointed out a few more things that would need to be monitored and corrected an issue with a sensor. AHe corrected the issues with the A/C unit that were pointed out during the home inspection (missing insulation) and also corrected issues with loose wiring that he found in the junction box at the A/C.

There was a big deal. I would tell people that they are very thorough and friendly. They are very nice people to deal with. It’s hard for me to compare the price, but it was reasonable. I would use them again in the future if need be.

They were very prompt coming out to evaluate the problem on Friday morning and the new unit was installed on Saturday morning at 8 am. Service was tremendous and the cost was very reasonable for the job. Everyone was responsive, courteous and professional.

Overall, it was very good. They were very professional. I was very satisfied with them. I haven't had any problems with it since. I plan on using them for yearly maintenance.

Great experience. Dennis called beforehand to give me an ETA and then arrived punctually. He was friendly and informative, answering my questions about air ducts and ventilation in the house in addition to performing the service. Zerol Ice seems a little expensive at $175, but the reported cost savings are supposedly worth it. I highly recommend A Professional.

They were fine. They did a good job. I was satisfied with their work. So far I have no complains. I would use them in the future.

The gentleman who came to my home came inside and I showed him the upstairs furnace. He asked to look in each bedroom even though the doors were closed. He just stepped one foot in each room and looked around, which made me pretty uncomfortable. When I asked the boss why that would have been, the he said that he didn’t know the reason. As we proceeded he went to the unit outside and said it would need to be acid washed-an additional $300. If I didn’t ask if it was an additional cost, they would have charged me extra without letting me know before they did the work. I was only intending to use the Big Deal I had. The cleaning he did do wasn’t very good. The truck had a different name, Adrienne’s, but the name of the company I purchased a coupon from was A PROFESSIONAL HEATING & COOLING INC. The boss said he owned that company too, which seems strange. The same person was sent to my home, unannounced, when I wasn’t even there to clean the rest of the a/c unit. Even though my unit is 17 years old, he suspiciously told me no refrigerant would be needed. It just seemed strange that what they said they would do, they didn't do. The supervisor also told me he would call me when they were sending someone out to finish cleaning, which wasn't done.
