+ -1 moreThey're great and they're a topnotch. They did a lot of works and a lot of people were rough. This is their shot but I think their price is higher. He has back-up and when he does it, he really does it.
Description of Work: Bates Roofing provided me a roofing service. I had them and rebuilt my roof and I had a couple of people who did that.

+ -1 moreThis Spring I called Bates Roofing for an estimate for roofing my house only. The setimator came while my wife and I were gone. We received a bid tgrough the mail. Nobody from Bates called to ask if I had any questions. I had no verbal contact them. I did not use Bates. I selected another roofer.
Description of Work: I did not use Bates. I selected another roofing company.

Description of Work: Mr. Bates came to my home without prior confirmation that anyone would be there. I was not I was working. He had the neighbor call me and I returned his call. He could not see any issues with my roof so I directed him by phone to go to the back of my house and look at the left hand side of the roof. He still could not see anything wrong and informed me he was not interested in doing this work. If the company wants only complete roofs to work on (more money in their pocket) that should be what is listed. I thought he was very rude. I would not recommend him to anyone.

+ -1 moreMy wife and I needed to have aged and damaged shingles replace on our residence. This is the first house we have owned and the first major repair we had done. We contacted three different companies for estimates. We then drove around to view the job done at their references. Bates had the middle priced quote. One other quote was $100 more, the other was $100 less. The owner sent us to a specific supply company to select a color of shingle from a model of shingles he uses. The company delivered the shingles to our house on the specified morning and time. The installation crew was ready to go. They were dressed in clean, neat clothes and had a very respectful attitude. Not only did they install the shingles but, they put a drip guard around the edge of the roof to help avoid water damage to the wood underneath the shingles. They also painted the vent pipes on the roof to color coordinate with the house trim! These extra services were not mentioned when the quote was received. Once the installation was complete the roof and yard were cleaned up so that we couldn't tell anyone had been there. The owner personally supervised the work and talked with us to be sure we were satisfied with the work. He ran his business for many years using only word-of-mouth for advertising. That speaks well for the quality of his services. The shingles he used are stll holding up well 18 years later. I have seen other homes with shingles that need replace after about 5 years. In my opinion this is a top notch company and have absolutely no reservations recommending them.
