I interviewed four contractors. It was between Chris and one other contractor. Chris asked all of the right questions from the start. What I really liked that he is right there doing the work along with another man. He did a lot of little things that I was not charged for at all. No and quot;puffing upand quot; the bill here. They worked within my timeline and actually were finished a day earlier than he estimated. I have dealt with contractors for thirty years and have never been more pleased! When my prospective tenant saw the bathroom she thought it turned out great! Thank you Angie's List!!!!!

Chris responded quickly to my request for an estimate to put in a backsplash and after accepting his estimate, he arrived promptly on the day to begin the project and finished it as he had promised. Am very happy with the work and and it looks great. Chris was very professional and cleaned up after he was finished. Would certainly use again.fo do other work work.

They are a great company. They did such excellent work. They came on time and left on time. I have been searching for a good contractor and I finally found YourChicagoland Remodeling. They did such a beautiful job in my bathroom. They cared about the work they were doing and it shows! The way they cared reflected on the job they did in my home. I feel like they came to my rescue!

Called and spoke to Chris the owner. He first said he was really busy and wasn't sure when he could come out for an estimate but did contact me and came out within a reasonable time. We had some water damage in the corner of one of our bedrooms. Chris came out and fixed it and did an excellent job. I was very pleased with the work he did. I would definetly hire him again.

I did not have the work done yet. I am waiting to see if my significant other will come through. I will re-post at a later date.

We decided to refinish parts of our basement in late November, because we were having a big family Chirstmas at our house. So finding a contractor that was reasonable and could get the job done before Christmas was a priority. Chicagoland Remodeling came in, put together a quote, worked with us to come to agreement on scope and cost and then completed the job in a little over a week.

Chris and his team did a GREAT JOB. They gutted and put back together my entire kitchen. They were very professional and did a great job. They were worth every penny I spent and the kitchen itself is a masterpiece. I paid them only for labor ( paint and other building materials) and I paid for all of my cabinets, appliances , tile etc. A month later I noticed some cracking in the base of the grout of my back splash. I emailed him and he came out and just did a sealing for me and I have had no complaints this past year. I would like to use Chris and his team to remodel all of my other rooms in my house!!

Cris was on time and did a thorough review of the work to be performed. I had 3 estimates and simply chose another.

I requested an estimate online and was promptly contacted by Chris to schedule the appointment. Chris came out promptly, as scheduled, and was very professional and knowledgeable. I was provided a detailed estimate that described every aspect of the job from beginning to end. The work was done by a two man team consisting of Christian and Andy. I was very impressed with their professionalism and work ethic. They worked very hard and cleaned up the work area at the end of each day. The job was completed in 4 days. The demolition consisted of the complete removal of all wall framing approx. 20 foot in length, removal of two vinyl windows, removal of exterior brick veneer, removal of two layers of gutters and removal of aluminum fascia. The team also erected a temporary support wall prior to taking down the wall. Once the demolition was completed the team framed the interior wall, installed windows, installed plywood sheathing and tyvek wrap, installed vinyl siding on approx. 38 feet of dormer wall, reinstalled gutters and new aluminum fascia. I was very satisfied with the quality of their work. I have several other renovations projects to complete and look forward to working with Chris and his team again. I will definitely recommend Chris and his team for the quality of their work, affordable prices and skill set.

Chris provided me with an estimate for rehabbing my condominium. This was almost a gut rehab for the entire unit and included the kitchen, bathroom, hardwood flooring, building an office, modifying several closets, etc. I interviewed and received bids from 5 contractors with high ratings on Angie's list. Chris was the least expensive bid that I received. More importantly, Chris was one of the few contractors that actually seemed trustworthy. I got the feeling that several of the other contractors would do a good job, but were more interested in separating me from my money. Chris was punctual and responsive (despite being very busy), and genuinely seemed like a trustworthy individual. He was also the only contractor that seemed excited about my project. Unfortunately, I was unable to use Chris for my project because my condominium association has a strong preference for contractors that have worked in the building before. One of these contractors even stated that and quot;it is impossible to work in this building if you have not worked here many times before.and quot; I would not hesitate to recommend Chris in the future to my friends / family, and will definitely call him again in the future if I have any remodeling work that isn't at this building in the future.

From start to finish very professional. Excellent experience from the estimate to the completion of the job.

It was the best experience that I've had with a general contractor ever. The principle contractor always answers his phone. Even if he's on another job, he always answers and never leaves you to voicemail. When he writes his proposals, he sends it to you in email. Its a very efficient process. He was very prompt. Sent us the proposal the day after scouting the job. The next day we had an email with the proposal from Chris. The price was very fair and appropriate for the job. We were so please with his work, we've already hired him for another job!

The bathrooms in our condo were VERY outdated. We contacted Your Chicagoland Remodeling to update them. Chris and his crew were excellent. They work fast and don't make any mess at all. They took our full bath and powder room down to the studs and started from scratch. The whole process took just 5 days. We are very happy with the work they did for us. So happy that a few month later, when our water heater broke and damaged the unit below us, we called Chris and his crew right away. They fixed the ceiling in that unit quickly and neatly. Our downstairs neighbor was so pleased, she was asking them about working on her unit too. We are currently in the process of buy our first house and Chris and his crew can look forward to more work from us. In short, we found our guys. I could not recommend them any more highly.

The estimate given was exactly what I was charged. Although Christian was late the first day he was punctual the second day. His work was neat and professional. Every thing was put back and in order when the job was completed. He even helped me pick my color after the one I had chosen had not worked. It was a pleasure having him in my home. If I ever have work done in my home I will use this company.

I spoke with a few other painting companies that I found on Angie's List, but decided to go with Your Chicago Remodeling because their location was close to my home. I worked with Chris, who I think is the owner. I communicated with him via email and phone, and he was very reachable via both methods responding very quickly. He was also right on time when coming to my home for the estimate, and then again when he started the job. He worked quietly and quickly and his appearance was clean. After he finished working each night, he cleaned up. He did an excellent job on the painting. In the places where cutting was required, the lines were very straight. My wife and I were very happy. Overall this was a great experience. I can't say one bad thing about this guy, and I will definitely use him again.

Chris turned our garage into a playroom. He did the framing, drywall, and painting. He also did the sub-floor and built 3 closets.They were on time every day and the were neat. He also put up with me and my indecisiveness which I appreciate. They also put in a back door which they had to fix the framing. My granddaughter loves the room!

My wife and I wanted to remodel a small bath room off of our bedroom. Our home is 30 years old and although we have had it updated a few times we wanted to do a major tear down this time. Since we were not familiar with any contractors who do this kind of work we turned to Angie's List and selected three local companies who received consistently good reviews, year over year. YOUR CHICAGOLAND REMODELING provided the most cost competitive bid so we selected them to do the work. We could not be happier. Cris and his team did a wonderful job. The quality of their work was second to none. They worked fast and very neatly, in fact the respect they showed our home during the project actually surprised us. All of our furniture in the adjacent room was covered. Protective material was placed on our carpeting. During the demolition phase drop cloths were placed in all of our hallways and they swept our kitchen at the end of the day. Another aspect of their work that impressed us was the attention they paid to little details. The pattern and forethought placed into the arrangement of the floor and wall tiles reflected a craftsmanship approach to their work. They not only know how to do the work, they know how to do it well. Clear silicone caulk was applied expertly to areas we would have never thought of but made perfect sense afterwards. They changed the location of a ceiling fan in such a way that it works much more efficiently than before. This job, although perhaps not very large by some standards, was still a major tear down. All drywall was removed down to the studs, including the ceiling. Two layers of floor tiles were removed down to the subfloor. The old cast iron tub was removed, the toilet, vanity, vanity top and lighting were replaced with new, modern materials which we purchased separately. Everything was installed perfectly and they used state of the art materials to replace our old dry wall. No corners were cut. The job was done right by every measure. Kudo to Cris and the entire team at YOUR CHICAGOLAND REMODELING for a job so very well done. Hire them with confidence and ndash; you will not be disappointed.

Just three individuals did the entire family room. They reinsulated the walls and ceiling and put new dry wall up on the ceiling. They completely rewired the room with outlets all along the wall, cable lines and an additional line for a modem, all up to proper code. Dortmund Remodeling installed pocket doors, flooring and carpeting down the stairwell to the basement. It was excellent work. They did it within the timeline that they predicted. Everything was clean, and when they left you'd never know there was a structure company here. They swept the outside, swept the porch, and cleaned up the room. They were very responsive: if there was any questions we had left at the end of the day, we had the owner's direct line and he would call back within the hour.

I would recommend their work and would continue to use them.

They were great. They were pretty fast. They did whatever they said they would do. They were quiet and good. I would recommend them. I left them because I had to take my kids to the doctor. When I came back I told them everything was perfect. They came a couple of different times.

Overall I was extremely please with both the work, timeliness and cost. I will definately look up Chris if I need other work.

Alll work was high quality, professional and on time.

I spoke to Chris on Thursday, (4/12/12) and discussed briefly a kitchen upgrade. He asked that I e-mail all my information to him and said he would be by on 4/16/12 in the late afternoon. I immediately e-mailed all the info to him on 4/12/12. Monday came and he forgot the appointment. He called Wednesday afternoon and apologized for Monday. He wanted to reschedule and I told him I would get back to him.

very punctual and extremely responsive, they were fast and did a really good job, they did leave a few specs after they had painted but they came back very quickly to take care of it, i would use them again
