+ -1 moreThey have very good people. Their people are very knowledgeable, and they have very high quality standards. The system that I used is a Mitsubishi system. That's what they installed for me, which is a very much top-of-the-line, very expensive system, so I won't blame Sub Zero for the price. They did a real nice job, and their people are real easy to work with. You can see that I've had a fairly long association with them. They did another big project for me in 2008. I also have them do my regular maintenance on my heating system, which is a hot water boiler.
Description of Work: This was a very major project. I've been doing a lot of work lately. I did an addition and basically I put in a split system where the compressor is outside the building, kind of like a power unit for central air conditioning would be, but this works totally different. It's actually a heat pump where there's three air handlers inside my home. I don't have any ducts. I have hot water heat, so for me to get air conditioning I have to do things that are a little bit more unusual, so here we have one power unit sending refrigerant to these three air handlers, one of which takes care of my upper floor, the bedroom level, and the two other air handlers were part of my new addition on the first floor.

+ -1 moreThere was a lot of juggling of contractors on that project, but they worked very well with me and with the other contractors on the job. It was actually mostly the same people working on the same trades then working on both of these, and it worked out very well. They do the regular maintenance on my boiler, and since they were digging into my system and re-piping it, they did the regular maintenance on it at the same time. That typically is like $125 or something, the regular maintenance, so it's minor compared to everything else.
Description of Work: As part of my remodeling project, they did actually two things for me. They put in this heat pump air conditioning system for me. They also expanded my hot water heat into the new areas of construction on my project. I did an addition and I converted a one-car garage that was built into the house; I converted that to living space, so they brought heat in there and also brought heat into the expansion of the family room.

Description of Work: Had a problem with AC unit. Ended up a simple fix, but tech did diagnostic and preventative work to insure the unit had its proper regular maintenance.

After nearly three hours I ended up with an estimate on a brand that I specifically told him I was not interested in. It turned out the estimate was over $1,000 higher than the A/C company I hired.

The technicians really explained everything, gave a few options, and I felt like they weren't pushy at all. They seemed to have a lot of experience, made some good recommendations. We've been happy with their work!
