Concrete Works

It didn't go very well. I don't know why he doesn't ask to be removed from Angie's list. Keeping in mind that this is only the second week in May.......... When I FINALLY was able to make contact with him, he seemed disinterested in even talking to me. I explained that I needed a patio repair/replace because it had dropped/sunk down toward my house and I was getting rain running back and into my basement. It was creating black mold on the area of the wall in my basement laundry room. I was informed that it would be September or October before they could even look at it. I did not find him pleasant or helpful in any way. He did not offer any suggestions of other companies that I could call considering I have black mold growing on my wall. I am handicapped and it is very hard for me to get down the stairs, let alone deal with pumping water out of my basement and cleaning up the mess the water in the basement leaves behind.

Called and called to ask for a quote on my driveway and sidewalks, Never, ever had the courtesy to return my phone calls. Must be rich and did not need $4000 to $5000 job.

I liked the way they handled themselves, the pricing and the clean up afterwards.

The only problem with had was in communication. After first contact, it took a while for an estimate and we really never had it in writing until the work was finished though the original estimate stood firm. We realized that it was a relatively small job, but when we called to say that it needed to be done by a certain date, they came and very efficiently and quickly removed the old concrete and poured and finished the new. The work was made more difficult by our many farm cats that were curious and padded through the wet concrete. The workmen never complained but just refinished the concrete. We did then do our best to keep them off. When it was completed, we were asked if it was to our satisfaction. We felt the the steps were too deep for my husband to negotiate so they came back the next day and put in two extra steps so that the height of each of those was only 3 1/2 inches instead of 7+and quot;. We would recommend them to our friends.

They were professional and they did a very good job.

They not only met, but exceeded my expections, which were very high to start with. They showed up on time and went right to work. After they removed the old blocks and step, they leveled out the sand, set the area, and started pouring the concrete right away. When they were finished forming the molds, they cleaned up everything and probably left the area cleaner than it was to start with! We plan to put a new patio in the backyard next year and I've already decided that Concrete Works do this project!
