SOLIS & SONS ASPHALT & PAVING

This was tasked thru the HOA and I did not select this company. Their worker asked to use my water line for a little bit of water. I asked him how much was a little water. He said a couple of gallons. I asked him again two gallons? He replied a couple. I said ok. TWO HOURS LATER I asked him to ask another person. A couple gallons isn’t TWO HOURS OF WATER. That’s a whole heck of a lot more than a couple of gallons. Since no one answered their phone this is where I’m noting this incident. Video attached to confirm this conversation. I wanted to have our driveway widened and I called and left message on September 26th. A woman called me back on the 27th and we set up a meeting for them to come on the following evening at 6:00. We made a point of being home to meet with this company but they didn't show up, no phone calls, nothing. We have since hired someone else from Angie's List and will leave a detailed report after work is completed.

We were not happy that the company never called back the second time.

OVERALL, I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE COMPANY. I CALLED MANY COMPANIES FOR ESTIMATES AND SOLIS & SONS CAME THE NEXT MORNING. THE WORK WAS STARTED 2 DAYS AFTER I RECEIVED THE PERMIT AND FINISHED IN 2 DAYS. I HAD ALREADY HAD A NEW GARAGE BUILT WHICH WAS RAISED ABOVE THE CURRENT GRADE OF THE OLD DRIVE. THE NEW DRIVE REQUIRED EXTRA ASPHALT TO GET IT TO MATCH THE NEW GARAGE, AND TO GET THE PROPER DRAINAGE. THE PRICE WAS ALSO VERY COMPETITIVE, BUT THE WORK WAS STILL OF GOOD QUALITY. MY ONLY GRIPE WAS SOME BUILDING MATERIALS THAT WERE LEFT OUTSIDE WERE ''THROWN AWAY'' EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE NOT TRASH. OTHERWISE THINGS WENT SMOOTHLY.
