Sears Garage Door Installation & Repair

Mike knew what he was doing, professional and didn't mind me watching him work. It was all done in about an half hour.

I've used Sears garage door service several times over the past decades. They are excellent for the most part. Knowledgeable and get it fixed right. Price seems reasonable to me as well. I recommend.

My uncle purchased garage door opener for me and after which it malfunctioned the worker came out and was very professional and he explained everything to me and made me feel comfortable.

I called to have maintenance done on garage door. It had not been used for many years, and was making horrible noises going up and down. When tech came out, he saw how old the opener was (approx 25 yrs old) and suggested purchasing a new opener. Ofcourse i said, "No" but then told him I needed a new remote as well, and I had been told over the phone the price of remotes. Due to the age of the opener, a receiver would have to be installed as well. When you added everything up, it was close to the price of the NEW garage door opener, two new remotes, a keypad coded entry access, and lighting (my older garage door opener lights had stopped working long ago. So, I purchased the new garage door opener, and the tech did the maintenance on the door as a freebie. I am so happy he suggested purchasing. He was not pushy, just knew what he was talking about. I would recommend this service to any of my friends without hesitation. The tech worked very quickly, removed the old opener, and was very good at explaining and making sure i understood how everything worked, even the sensors (which I did not have since my old opener was so old) and especially the keypad entry. I am thrilled to have access to my garage safely for the first time in many, many years.

They really didn't do any work we just ordered a part from them. It was just easy. We knew what parts we needed. We went in, we ordered them, we paid for them and we left. There was nothing to it. Very easy. No issues whatsoever.

I just like the fact that they were very flexible with the scheduling and coming out and also prompt service. We didn't have to wait a long time to come out and install the garage door opener. It is working out really well. The door is actually closing smoothly now. The door is not vibrating. They were pretty comparable.

Not very good. They didn't fix the problem. Nicor which is who we had the service with they had to send another company out and they fixed the garage door but Sears was not able to fix the problem. I was unhappy with their service. Their people didn't know what they were doing.

It didn't cost me anything because I had insurance on garage. I had called him. He came out directly and inspected my garage door but then he wanted to change my garage door rather than change just the opener. He says the door is old and Sears won't guarantee you. I asked him how much is it going to cost to change the garage door it was $1200. I do not want to change a garage door just to be able to open a garage door. I just turned it down. He charged me 90 bucks but when I called Sears back they reimbursed my 90 bucks. He was good because I got my 90 bucks back. The person he sent out to do their work not so much. Sears was rather okay, but the guy that came out to do the work he gets like an "F" because he wanted to push me into something I didn't want to pay for. Pretty good quality.

Okay. So far so good. Nothing different than before. I am satisfied. I really haven't any big complaints with them. They tell you sometimes we will be there between 8 and 12 the window is so big and then sometimes they are little late.

Came and inspected to see what the problem was. Informed me it was the sprocket. Replaced the sprocket. He did a good job. The problem I encountered was with the scheduling of the appointment with Sears. Window for the appointment was too long, i.e., 8 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 6 pm. Didn't show for first two appts. Called on day of third appt. to make sure they were coming. They said they had no record of the appt. when I got off the phone, the man was pulling up. Very frustrating!

The serviceman, Ben, was fast, concise and extremely hard working. He quickly evaluated the existing system and also measured to provide an accurate quote for a replacement door. Ben provided me with 3 replacement options, gave details on what was included in the pricing and DID NOT PRESSURE AT ALL!! This is a key point as you all know, people want to make money but Ben didn't care if what, if anything, I purchased. After evaluating the estimate and the repair quote, fiscally chose the repair option. Once I made the decision, Ben was working in a matter of minutes and took all of 20 mins to complete the work. Great guy, superior work and customer service. If you use this company, ask for Ben.

I was very dissatisfied with them. They were expensive. The person who showed up did not have the equipment that he needed to do the job; so, he had to come back another time. Once the repair was done he had to come back again because the repair did not hold. There were many other things that went wrong.
