Moved into a new house, discovered some evidence of mice. Schopen came to the rescue! Setting an appointment was easy, the tech arrived on time, was friendly. He did a visual inspection inside and outside of the house and patched possible entrances around the foundation. He set traps and bait stations and then came back for a maintenance check. No major evidence of intrusion--the holes they filled outside worked! I am keeping them on for maintenance and adding a spider and bugs b/c they give a single fee for maintenance on both--which is a great deal. They also have an account portal on their website so clients can track spending, notes, and appointments. One national brand came and tried to upsell me--saying that I needed them to install a barrier around my house because of some issue with my siding ($2000!) and the cost of their annual service was double Schopen. I highly recommend skipping the big-name brands and going with this family-owned business.

Ben was on the phone and he was knowledgeable and friendly. He understood how frantic I was. Randy performed the service. He used steel wool to plug up possible mouse entry points outside and in the kitchen from the basement. He put out 11 bait stations. That was two days ago and there has been no visible activity. He’ll return two more times for additional charges to check the bait stations and monitor any new activity. I am very happy with the results so far.

Randy, who was the first technician, was polite, informative and very thorough in the performance of his duties and the explanation of any dangers involved with the process. I have 6 cats indoors and 2 outdoors and had no issues with any of them being ill from the process. Within a week I had no ants. Eric,the second technician; explained why Randy was not able to make the second appointment and was also polite, and professional.

Excellent response time and even offered a vet discount. We needed an inspection quickly and Schopen was the ideal company. Eric came out on time and was very professional and friendly. Great company service!!

Super friendly tech who came out with a great company that stands behind anything that might come up. Very calming and detail oriented. I think we’ve found a company for the long haul. From the last six months of service, I can highly recommend.

It has taken a few visits to get ant problem under control. They were very responsive when I called for a return application. Plan to keep using them for quarterly visits to keep the ants under control.

Wonderful! I sent Peter a photo and he knew immediately that it was bat droppings. He called me back and told me not to worry, the bat is just resting at night and will eat insects. He was terrific in solving the problem and gave his advise freely. When I do have a pest problem, these are the people I will go to!

So far so good. It's been a week since the appointment. We have not had any problems. Hoping the nest is no longer viable.

Office and technicians were professional, responsive, on-time and friendly. Eliminated the problem by setting up bait stations (away from where our cat could reach) and sealed holes that I couldn't find. Very pleased with them!

Excellent... I had some issues, rdent in the article and carpenter ants on the deck, that arose between treatments and Schopen stopped by to help me out at no additional cost to me.

When I called I got voicemail so I left a message...I never got a call back. Extremely disappointed.

Called the office for a consultation and possible treatment for Carpenter Ants. Was given the owner's number to call. Left a message and NEVER even attempted to call back. Guess he has enough business. Very unprofessional.

Peter Schopen, the owner has done a fabulous job. His knowledge is superior, his work ethic is first-rate, and he is patient, dedicated, personable, and thorough. The information that Peter and Eric (assistant) are providing is invaluable in helping me to understand the problem I am dealing with in the home. The mouse problem has been attenuated, and I am very, very pleased with their industrious approach. In particular, they are able to provide a range of solutions that will work for just about any customer, I am sure. They are wonderful listeners, and they are sincerely committed to doing a professional and consumer-friendly job. They sincerely want my home to be safe and rodent-free, and they want me to be pleased with the service. I believe their cost is very reasonable for the quality and quantity of work they perform. Above all, I am so pleased that I really do understand why I have this problem, and the reasons why the steps they are taking are working and will work. I started using Schopen in March. They came out again in April, July and October. Initially, provider inspected the inside and outside of the house, filled in potential entry ways outside with spray foam, set bait traps and gave a thorough explanation of the process. On today's follow-up visit, Eric checked bait traps, inspected the outside and filled in a gap in the foundation. I was very impressed with Eric. He was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Eric informed me since the activity has decreased, I can schedule inspections maybe twice a year, instead of quarterly. I would highly recommend Schopen. They care about the customer, which is hard to find sometimes. Thank you Eric, you're the best :-)

It went very well. First, the provider was able to come over within an hour after I initially called. He was polite and friendly during our conversations. What really impressed me was that his program for eradicating mice included two follow-up visits after the first one. The prices were reasonable. He explained that it would take 24-48 hours for the mice to succumb to the bait, and although I did notice some activity within the first 24 hours, after that everything was quiet. I was very pleased with the work and would recommend this provider to other potential customers. I will definitely call him back should I have a problem with pests in the future. This is one happy customer!

Peter was very professional and responded to my phone calls without any delay. He was very knowledgeable about pest control in general and offered several different options for us to prevent mice from entering our home. While we don't currently have an issue with mice, we were looking for preventative steps to take since our home is near cornfields. Peter took the time to answer all my questions and thoroughly inspected the house. Cost was very reasonable and never pressured us to accept the maintenance program his company offers. He also used a spray to combat the yellow jacket issue and offered to come back at any point free of charge if the issue persisted. Would recommend this company to neighbors and friends.

First treatment in early June was excellent. We didn't see one nest for several weeks anywhere. Previously I was using signficant amounts of spectracide to keep it under control. Second treatment was good, but one nest was missed under our deck top rail. I almost stuck my hand into while working on a new screened in porch. They came up promptly, but did not re-treat under the top rail. Possibly because I already shot it with spectracide and removed myself. I wouldn't read too much into this though. They do a very thorough job and are much less expensive than Batzner.

Another service provided doing unrelated work noted there was potentially mice and wasp/bee infestations in the attic and siding of our recently purchased home. Schopen was able to provide services quickly, they were though and provided detailed information on the processes. I was especially concerned about any chemicals given I was 9 months pregnant at the time and have a 2 year old. They clearly error on the side of caution and were happy to go into detail on the process.

They are good in explaining the problem. They take the time to help you understand the issue. They go out of their way to see if there are any other problems that you might not be aware of. They have a great attitude. We are glad that we chose them.
